    Maybe it is worth to mention, that pretty much all cities in Germany have a rule: no building may be higher, than the highest church. Frankfurt is the only German city that has skyscrapers.

    Amazing video. Very well done even though sometimes slightly confusing (but I guess since it's from the perspective of a tourist it's understandable and ok ^^)
    The only thing I strongly disagree with as a Frankfurter (and sorry but it really made me gag 😅) is the music bavarian beergarden choice in the back. Not fitting and has nothing to do with us (we're in Frankfurt not in Munich 😉.... it's like making a video about NYC and coloring it with John Denver country music "Rocky mountain high" just becaus it's 'American' .... get it 😜)
    But overall very nice. Love the video ❤

      That makes a lot of sense! I'll admit I had a hard time figuring out what kind of music would capture Frankfürt the best - what genre would you say is the most "Frankfurter?"

    • @WinterwolfFFM
      @WinterwolfFFM 9 місяців тому +1

      @@asenseoftravel Frankfurt is a very modern metropolislike city that filled the gaps between the leftover buildings from times of old and has that unique apple wine culture that is very regional. So I think modern urban music choice as well as classical in a mix would suit it best.
      Or german "Schlager" music from the 1920s-70s 🙂👍.... that will capture the city's spirit depending on the scenes the audience sees.

    Small corrections: The shopping center is called "My Zeil" and the roof/viewing platform of the Main Tower is 200m high. The tower with antenna has a height of 240m.

      @@danitoni4741 You mean the Commerzbank Tower with 259m (300m with antenna/spire). And the other building you mentioned is the Millenium Tower which was basically planned with a height of 365m. Now their are planning two towers. Tower 1 with a minimum roof height of 288m (in Frankfurt the final heights are usually 5-15m higher than the original planned heights) and Tower 2 should min. 157m high.

      @@danitoni4741 Directly opposite the “Four”, the 206m high “Business Central Tower”, which is already under construction, is rising. This is a very strong condensation of this area. Also nearby, on the site of the new opera, a 160-170m high tower is to be built. And a 175m high tower will be built next year at the area of the old police headquarters. There's still a lot to come....

      Understood! When I was solo travelling, I didn't have a guide to tell me, but the beautiful half timbers looked very much like what I associated with the Bavarian style (here in the US, most people associate half-timbers with Bavaria). But thank you for the correction

    You keep on talking about Bavarian Architecture????? in Hessen???? If you want to say half-timbered or something, I am fine with it, but this is not BAVARIAN Architecture. Frankfurt is not in Bavaria and if you can't even get this thing right, I am wondering why I should like or subscribe to your channel. I am stopping right here.

      (and my apologies. From what I understood, half timbered architecture is most commonly associated with Bavaria, hence Bavarian style architecture. But alas, I am just a guest in the cities I travel to, and by no means an expert).

      You’ll find some beautiful half-timbered houses in the small towns and villages in Hessen. Definitely worth a visit. But it’s not Bavarian architecture - that’s a major error.
