Unlike most military folks, I got off-base as much as possible and made many local friends. It helped that I spoke German, albeit Bavarian that my mother taught me, but it definitely helped me communicate with the local communities. I hope you had a great time there Mark!
From the looks and ingredients it's a rather mediocre Döner for the price. The meat looked good but for 4.9€ you can expect a bit more variation on the vegetable side + sheep cheese which really ads a lot to the taste ;)
At 3:12, you bopped right through the Grosse Bockenheimer Strasse, which folks call the Fressgasse (Eating Street, more or less), a pleasant pedestrian street with a bunch of good restaurants in all price classes, without even blinking. That's where I'd recommend folks on a layover to get food. The Römerplatz doesn't have good stuff, and you'll definitely pay too much for it.
For those who don't know Döner Kebap is originated in Berlin by an Turkish Immigrant in the 70s Döner (this version) can't be find in Turkey It is German-Turkish Food
Mark, I ve been watching your videos for quite some time now (I'm also a huge spicy thai food lover) and was always curious, how you would react to the Frankfurt Cuisine. Nice to see you enjoyed the Grüne Sosse (green sauce). It is also very neat on top of a Schnitzel, but originally served only with boiled eggs and potatoes. People from Frankfurt actually call the "Frankfurter" sausage Wiener (From Vienna), not a big thing here. The real Frankfurter sausage is Rindswurst (beef sausage). Preferably the original brand "Gref Völsing". And most importantly, you've obviousely missed Handkäs mit Musik (a very smelly cheese served with a onion-vinegar-caraway seed vinaigrette and fresh german bread, the "music" refers to the sounds the onions produce after they passed the stomach). Bet you'll love it. I'll show you where to get the best one, next time you need to kill some time in Frankfurt, if you're interested. Keep it up!

Joel is just the bestest friend!
Wow that Doner Kebab 😍 and thanks Joel for holding the camera 😁
From the looks and ingredients it's a rather mediocre Döner for the price. The meat looked good but for 4.9€ you can expect a bit more variation on the vegetable side + sheep cheese which really ads a lot to the taste ;)
@@speedboiiii2722 oooh my GoD
At 3:12, you bopped right through the Grosse Bockenheimer Strasse, which folks call the Fressgasse (Eating Street, more or less), a pleasant pedestrian street with a bunch of good restaurants in all price classes, without even blinking. That's where I'd recommend folks on a layover to get food. The Römerplatz doesn't have good stuff, and you'll definitely pay too much for it.
I miss the days where we could do all the things you did last year. Now we are just hoping that all these restaurants survive the crisis...
Welcome to my city, Frankfurt am Main ✌️❤️
YEEAH. Haste deine eigene City xD Biste auch der Bürgermeister deiner Stadt ? xDD

Frankfurt bleibt stabil Brudi

High quality "Scheiben-Kebab" meaning you have distinguishable slices instead of a compact block where they put everything in from nail to nutsack.
I’ve never seen any one so excited about food other than me!! Your too funny 😂 I miss the food.
08:29 dip that ribbon into the mustard. Well done Mark!
For those who don't know
Döner Kebap is originated in Berlin by an Turkish Immigrant in the 70s
Döner (this version) can't be find in Turkey
It is German-Turkish Food
Bullshit. Döner is from Turkey Originally from Bursa ok and Has nothing to do with German food. German food is Knödel, Schnitzel not Döner.
Keep it up!
Btw kids under a certain age are normally free in busses!
Okay but Micah's noise is so CUTEE 😭
I like seeing people explore the places that i see almost daily. It gives an interesting perspective. Nice video :)

I cannot believe it! You are sitting in my favourite Apfelweinhaus! Next time order from the specials board. I'm an Englishman with German Citizenship. I've lived in Frankfurt for about 15 years. Thanks a bundle Mark. I'm going to book a table in Atchel right now!!!!
Mark as usual great video.little Micah is getting to his taking stage. So cute.
The Frankfurter dish only cost 5,50€. Damn, that's quite a fair price for a full meal.

I WAS BORN IN FRANKFURT!!! Hey Mark, Ying, and Micah.
Just a little piece of advice, for your next trip to germany: kids up to the age of 6 usually travel for free on trains and buses, in most german citys. I am not originally from Frankfurt, but I would be majorly surprised, if it was any different there. Hope you enjoyed your trip.!. Cheers
Wer kennt sie nicht, die Hauptwatsche :D Sehr geil ! :D Nice video!
