Really? People were being negative when you didn't tour their island? Yeah I was a little sad that you didn't get to my island, but I wasn't negative/hateful about it. It just gives me time to work on some more stuff. Ryan's only human, guys. There's only so much time he has. Just be grateful he's doing tours. Also, Ryan, only one NPC (like Gulliver, Leif, Kicks, etc) will visit a day. Randoms (Wisp and Celeste) are the only ones that can come when a regular npc is visiting. I've been playing since early April and have never gotten, let's say, Gulliver and Kicks at the same time.

I imagine it's like the New Leaf game and Pascal will jump up only when you find a scallop as he wants the scallops and gives a gift in return. In New Leaf you had to wear a swim suit to go in the water too, and you're correct in saying it is most likely ocean only. I do hope they don't have the jelly fish that were in New Leaf!
an idea you could try in the future (if you decide to do island tours again) is to have people join a queue but treat it as a giveaway, so you choose at random from the pool of people who join the queue. that way it gives people a more equal chance of getting chosen! this also avoids people only waiting for their name to be called and allows them to enjoy the stream a bit more. thank you for even doing these tours, ryan! i enjoy seeing everyone’s islands and having fun with it. we really appreciate you taking the time to do these!

I watched a stream of someone doing island tours and they did a “pick a number between” thing and whoever picked the number got their island toured. Maybe that would work?

You could try using the ACNH Exchange app for a queue system. Host an event and have people check in before the start time. Set a limit for visitors and close the line when it's full. It will auto order the guests and manage the dodo code transfer through chat. People will know if you are coming to their island or not in advance and so there won't be (hopefully) disappointed and hurt feelings. Good luck!!

Don't know if you knew that but water once with the gold can and the gold gene stays once given.
My guess is it will be the same as new leaf with the swimming and Pascal, he will just appear when we get a scallop. The diving should be just a standard feature of the game like in new leaf and the updates would be better if they were brand new features. Im still glad for something new to do. I love this game!

Don't pick an island with the town plaza right next to the airport, it makes your island's entrance more annoying to decorate. You can't change where the plaza is once you pick an island
The game isn't a race, and it's not even a marathon. It's a game with an essence that embraces the progress and not the end goal. Enjoy forming your island more-so than just getting to it's final form and it makes the whole thing easier and more enjoyable. Oh, and Tom Nook is a dirty underhanded loan shark, keep your eye on him 😉
plan a bit your island. when you can put the shops, houses, make sure the layout makes sense bc later you can move them, but it cost 50 000 bells for each building
The camping sign is from the Animal Crossing phone app game "Pocket Camp". You can dl the game, get the free stuff then delete the game if you'd like or keep it and play lol

Ryan, could you tell us in your opinion why would Nintendo choose to NOT make those quality of life changes? When so much of the fan base is asking for them and they seem so simple to implement, why would they say no? I can't fathom a reason. :( Also, gold roses can't duplicate as far as I'm aware!!!
Why don’t you try using a random generator? Like make a form with a cap count like maybe 1-20 or however many you think you can visit during a twitch session. Use the generator to see which random island you should visit. Make a rule once you visit that island in a month they can’t fill out the form again to give others a turn. Be sure to save a list of past islands in case if someone didn’t follow the rules, that way you are visiting new islands & giving everyone a fair turn. I think it could be a good system.

I actually had kind of an established audience on Twitch before the YT channel blew up and also Twitch has a bit better chat moderation and interface as far as I can tell. As others have said, watching Twitch streams is absolutely free, you can watch even if you don't have an account! You won't be able to chat with the rest of the community, but signing up for an account is free just like UA-cam if you wanted to 😀
People who cry about their island not being toured are so funny because they have nothing better to do However, if you watch AbdallahSmash's channel, he usually does like 10 tours and that's it.

for the tours, one thing you can do is use channel points to get a tour. make it 150 channel points for a tour, and set a limit to 5 at a time !!

Can you limit your island tour queue to 10 to 15 people? Then you can more as you finish tours and time permits.
