Thank you for this video. At 2:15 you said you couldn't confirm the extra DP from the skill, but you have the perfect proof at 5:19 : DP jumps from 43 to 46 (3 DP, 2 from trait and 1 from skill) when fangalter defeats the fish.
Personally, I love FangTer. Funny enough with module and pot i deploy FangTer and retreat instantly to make a 6dp Myrtle and yes the current dp will be the same when you retreat FangTer
since most of the A6 alters are the same class but different archetype it would make sense that Beagle would be the new primal protector. one can hope but with all the speculation about her death from back in the dusk event who knows if we ever get one.
Primal have corrosion damage, which at least for now, no lore explained that beagle has some kind of art to inflict that. Duelist will be more make sense to me.
Because of Mumu, i don't ever feel the need to run Flagpipe or even utilize Bagpipe's talent for that matter, so most of the time, whenever i bring Bagpipe, it's for her to do what she's meant to do, which is murder stuffs and get DP out of it. Since getting Fang and building her, i find myself just permanently benching Bagpipe cause Fang is much more enjoyable to use while still being just as effective at her job.
Tbh her intro was pretty fucking awesome. The part about her story role that sucked is that she was literally never seen again until the very end of the chapter, nor did we get any specific information about what she was doing in the area beyond her file mentioning that she wasn't there on the same business everyone else was. Each of the other 3* alters had entire events primarily about them. Hell, Kroos and Lava got two each! Fang? She shows up to look really fucking cool for literally a couple lines which get no payoff. Such a great setup for literally nothing.
Fang awesome I love using her s2 as a "fast" redeploy while playing with A1 niche, also don't worry too much about beagle, fangs file confirmed she was still alive and kicking atleast enough to be able to mess around with the engineering department. (Also oi e2 your Lava!!!!)
I am still on IS2, so I have the free Elite 2 selection when selecting squad. I usually start with Guard and Vanguard E2 squad, and often pick Fang Alter up whenever I can. E2 Fang Alter can deal with a lot of early stages alone, and she stays relevant till the end.
Nice overview. With Bagpipe in my team I don't really need Fang alter in most situations but have built her anyway since she fills a couple of niches as you say. A high-ATK, block 2 helidrop who refunds full DP could be useful in advanced content where I just need that tiny bit of chip damage at the right time while setting up my team, and the fact that she's overall DP-positive means she'll see use in scenarios where I need to generate a lot of DP really quickly.
I gave been using Vigna from the beginning of the game and just upgraded to Fang Alter. And not gonna lie, Fang Alter just feels amazing to play. I like her S1 more because I like to keep her in the field for longer. And I can safely say, unfortunately she never gets 3 DP from one kill. But as Vigna user, 2 DP on each kill is more than enough for me.
@lovableairheadmile6809 She is better than Vigna at her job. (As an S1 user), can deal quick damage (which helps the Charger archetype), is cheaper than Vigna, gives 2 DP instead of 1, reduces 2 DP once she is picked up making her a better at the Vanguard Job, has more damage off skill, and better skill uptime, is tankier than Vigna. Also in practice, she is very good at preventing early leaks. Her skill being a quick charge skill makes it easier to take down 1 enemy before she blocks the second one. But Vigna Has one advantage over Fang Alter, and that is Vigna has more single hit damage when she crits with her 2nd skill. And when the opponent's HP goes bellow 50%, her damage becomes a lot higher. This is not that useful with trash mobs, and she can leak sometimes because of her slower attacks, but, it's very strong against some high defense enemies. Vigna can take them down better than Fang Alter. For example, in chapter 9 there are Defenders who have 70+ RES, but also High enough defense. Vigna can deal with them when her skill is active. While Fang Alter struggles with them.
@LordNNero tbh even 1k defense enemies aren't that good vs vigna due to s2 having 2.1k+ atk (e2 70 m3 mod3) Fang is more akin to a fast redeploy with s2 imo. If they're staying for a decent while I think vigna is better But if they are just going to be used to block early wave then fang alter better.
@@lovableairheadmile6809 Agreed. Although, I use her in-between where S2 Fang Alter and S2 Vigna is useful. Like, I keep her there as long as there's a threat of smaller enemies like dogs or other small enemies passing through. I replace her when I Start placing Guards and Defenders at the end of my set up. If you pick her up earlier than this, then Fang S2 is better. And if you wish to keep her till the end, then Vigna is better. So, she is perfect for the specific job that Charger Vanguards were made for. Which is why, I find her fun to use. But for low star clears, I can see why Vigna can outperform her.
@@LordNNero I do have both leveled and mastery working for fang alter, but I don't think she is a direct upgrade, cause she perform better on lower level mobs but her weaknesses is maybe mid (around 600-700 def) to high (900-1000+ def) mobs. I don't say she's bad I actually use her quite a decent bit, it's just vigna has a better late game than her and since I have strong lane holders anyway and Texas alter, bagpipe etc, I don't find her early game power as much needed and jaye is one of my most used lower rarity and he can lanehold better with sustain early. I mean I just have ALOT of options.
I'm definitely someone who wants to have multiple operators of each archetype from every class, and Fang alter just works brilliantly with Bagpipe, the synergy you can get with a full vanguardknights team also adds to this, will definitely build her soon, as I did get her at pot 8 from the 300 pull session for Wisadel and Logos
I'd say Fang alter is probably objectively the best non 6 star charger, but Vigna S2 is quite strong and fills a different niche within the archetype, so its hard to say for sure. It's definitely between those two though
I like her for her s1 more than her s2, but im also a weirdo who keeps her on the field together with siege (with no myrtle). Siege's second module feeds well into fang as a early-mid landholder since it gives her that sp battery effect. The s1 is deceptively powerful if the enemy isnt high def. ... ironically i like using her a lot more than bagpipe. But that might just be recency bias...And a bias towards its similarity to siege s2. As my most used skill on my most used operator. Making things slightly easier to cycle when you're done keeping her on the field is a nice little bonus.
I am a big lover of Rhodes Island OPs and loved so much to see the babies of reserve op team A1 all (almost) get an alter and see them grown up. I created a second account where I imposed myself to only use 5 stars and Fang Alter it’s one of my core units. I love her, she’s a great early stage dp generator and she can also work as a pseudo guard with her S1 if you put her sideways to a defender. Saved my ass lots of time.
At first I didn't like that her sub class got changed but as someone who uses a lot of vanguards because it's my favorite class she grew on me a lot. I tried using her S2 which I do think is overall better but I find S1 to be super comfy if I don't feel like recruiting bagpipe for IS. It similar enough to BP S2 that they function the same even if her dmg is slightly lower. I always liked Vanilla more for a 3* vanguard but fang alter feels good to use and her character glow up is loverly
The talent of fang with module basically powercreep saileach talent that reduce dp cost of one ally. But fang need to retreat before it activate while Saileah after deployed.
I already have Bagpipe and Ines but I built her anyways, that -dp to the next operator after retreat is what makes him do it for me, half my team is just 4 vanguards Myrtle, Ines, Bagpipe, Fangalter...
@Fizzyon71 I run vanguardknights sometimes, the only healing you have is Saileach s2 and myrtle s2 + talent and it sucks for hard hitting bosses like big bob which I still cant clear 😭
Since her talent reducing her own cost by 3 DP at the start of the battle It actually make sense to make her as the starter since the charger is fully refunding the original cost Yeah, i know no one can beat Bagpipe to help flag Vanguard & instant ready ines But for her is actually a good starter
I used the E2 item on her. Fire-Sharpened has pretty sassy lines, like the one you usually hear: "You say that I changed? Yes, that's right." - paraphrased the first line Little changes like that, plus her S2 and talent, makes her precious in my eyes. A good thing too: I wanted to lean away from opening with Flagpipe for awhile now, and Fire-Sharpened helps with it.
For some reason, I get the feeling that if Poncirus didn't exist, her kit would have been given to Fang alter - it's basically an upgraded version of Fang's 3* defensive-leaning self.
There's a error in the description. Fang alter wasn't introduced in the Babel event, but in Ch 14, with Wis'adel and Logos, as the rate-up 5 stars. Also, good video to explain how she works, easy to comprehend
Happy to see her getting some love. After getting her pot 6 while trying to get the roach I decided to try her and she hasnt disappointed. I went s1m3 first since im not great about retreating and replacing her after the s2 duration 😂
Cool concept, but the interns forgot to add the reduced redeploy time, so now there's no reason to use her unless your account is brand new or you just like Fang. Maybe 2nd module will fix it.

With S2 if the conditions are exactly met could excel like nobody: the conditions is: very low dp, hold a lane for a bit, and retreat to place another unit just after. However is you can wait a few more DP points, you can deploy Ines instead, that offer DP and so much more, Ines is so superior and META is not even funny.
Even bagpipe is mostly used for her talent now, in term of damage she is rather lacking nowadays and mostly used to kill fast dog after deploying flag . So charger is lacking in general, hence how fang current condition. Imo if hg want to make new 6 star charger they will need to give interesting talent for them (i am still waiting ops that can give initial sp to all guard HG 😅)
cheaper than myrtle and makes myrtle cheaper :))))) I'm starting to prefer her S2 over S1 lately though, the animation looks sick also I realize she isn't meant to print DP she just holds your lane for free then she can help (a little) with DPS later. Least she's useful at the beginning and end of the stage, unlike the durin DP printer. If i really wanted to block with a vanguard anyway, 🅱️eanstalk the professional 🅱️reeder (and she can hit air!)
She's good on paper, until you remember she doesn't have fast redeploy timer or semi-fast redeploy like Ines. She's going to always feeling somewhat lacking to the 6 stars who can do what she does but better. Still a solid 5 star unit, but just lacking slightly more versatility to become very meta pick to open with since +2 DP usually isn't the make or break difference with what the 6 star vanguards all offer (Ines does better at redeploy + DP printing quickly with a lot of extra utility, Saileach is basically the +2 DP on a higher DP cost but far more DP gen as a flagbearer, Bagpipe SP talent + early game lanehold to generate DP on kill + still offer solid DP refund as a charger). She sits in-between all of them slightly to the side while not exceling in any particular field. That said, she's still a fun unit to open with using S2.
cheaper than myrtle? sure but the problem is she will fall off on higher difficulty stages, not really practical if you intend to use her just for a single mob when myrtle can block and hold a mob too (+ her passive hp regen) another problem is that she will cost more materials than myrtle even when myrtle can do better i assume is4 was not d15, no? either way, great vid
until today, nothing beat Vigna damage for non *6 pioneer..... her talent was too OP. but fang can effectively give you 4DP for less than 1 sec deploy lmaaaao
I wouldn't compare Fangter to other Chargers, it's better to compare her to Utage, Cantabile and NTRKnight, Fangter may be not as tanky as NTR and lack her unique deployment slot mechanic, she cannot be deployed as often as Cantabile can and she cannot print DP out of thin air, she doesn't posses self healing that Utage have and her damage is physical, but she is super competent and comfortable to use redeploy vanguard that can block and kill enemies that will slip through Cantabile's 1 block or straight up kill her, same with Utage who only have 1 block and half of her HP on deployment while having almost 4 time higher cost to deploy. As a Redeploy player i say that Fang is S tier character that have a lot of power that is dirt cheap.
Beagle (or however tf you spell it i couldent care less about her and how you spell spell her name) dies in her final assessment thats why she gets no alter
the archive file of Fang the Fire-Sharpened (released alongside Episode 14) mentions that Beagle gifted a piece of shoulder armor to Fang, implying that she's still active at least as late as the Londinium crisis
WAW, so cool! She's a very good unit!
**proceeds to deploy Ines**
I have no Ines T_T
I think you mean that 1 clip where she gets stunned and then Texalter is deployed? XD
Yeah, if we go META slave, Ines is the BIS for a vanguard in so many situations is not even funny.
just like kroos alter, Fang is exceptional at her job.

True, Ines is one of the best 6* vanguards, but Fang is still a great alternative
great video, but the furniture set is what caught my eye, when was that availalble?
It came as a bundle with the camping tableware set
Does the dp reduction works on summons?
Nope, only operators
cheaper than myrtle? sure
but the problem is she will fall off on higher difficulty stages, not really practical if you intend to use her just for a single mob when myrtle can block and hold a mob too (+ her passive hp regen)
another problem is that she will cost more materials than myrtle even when myrtle can do better
i assume is4 was not d15, no?
either way, great vid
Why not bring both? lol
Nah, instead choosing one of them, I bring VG Squad + 1 destroyer, *uhuk uhuk*wisadel*uhuk uhuk*
Fang is better for really fast starts but Bagpipe is better for the long haul.
until today, nothing beat Vigna damage for non *6 pioneer..... her talent was too OP.
but fang can effectively give you 4DP for less than 1 sec deploy lmaaaao
iykyk why a Beagle alter hasn't been
I been using Poncirus since her Release
Melantha Alter when?
it's gonna be a while
I wouldn't compare Fangter to other Chargers, it's better to compare her to Utage, Cantabile and NTRKnight, Fangter may be not as tanky as NTR and lack her unique deployment slot mechanic, she cannot be deployed as often as Cantabile can and she cannot print DP out of thin air, she doesn't posses self healing that Utage have and her damage is physical, but she is super competent and comfortable to use redeploy vanguard that can block and kill enemies that will slip through Cantabile's 1 block or straight up kill her, same with Utage who only have 1 block and half of her HP on deployment while having almost 4 time higher cost to deploy. As a Redeploy player i say that Fang is S tier character that have a lot of power that is dirt cheap.
True she does play more like a redeploy op
beage isnt without proper "alter" she doesnt have any other different rarity alternative....
Beagle not having an alter BECAUSE SHE'S DEAD 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
No she isn't. Iirc Fang alter files inform us that Beagle simply retired from the action and still in contact with the rest of A6
@ oh thank god- thanks for telling me haha
Isnt Beagle dead in lore?
Not confirmed; only speculated
Only fan theories so far
What is -- may never die!
Beagle lives forever (in our hearts)!
Implied possible MIA. (Missing in Action) And clear hint at confused bad situation happening to the rookie team at some point.
theory was debunked after fang alter release, she's not dead
okay hot take wisadel won't be overpower if she didn't have all the stun do to the low fire rate
i like her s2 more
A lot of people do
Botha!
midriff 🤤
Lmao
beagle died in columbia, got shot by the cartel
Nope, Fang alter archive disprove that theory
@@cemanz gummy ate an ursus
@@tuanahmadkurniaillahi6864cannibalism at it finest
@@tuanahmadkurniaillahi6864 that literally doesn't have anything to do with Beagle, but yes
Beagle (or however tf you spell it i couldent care less about her and how you spell spell her name) dies in her final assessment thats why she gets no alter
the archive file of Fang the Fire-Sharpened (released alongside Episode 14) mentions that Beagle gifted a piece of shoulder armor to Fang, implying that she's still active at least as late as the Londinium crisis
mofo didnt know beagle alter will never come
i have sad news for you...
7.8 out of 10, built too many vanguards.
You can't have too many XD
bagpipe
In some cases she can substitute Ines. But those are few in number
Ines is just too good
Waifu

Welcome :D
