There's a third option when buying drivers thoug, just go for one of the top brand's drivers from 1-2 years ago and you'll make a massive saving without sacrificing distance
Would love to see the comparison for the Kirkland to the TM Stealth. That is about the age and price you are referencing. 200$ where I am and I think 3 years old.

I would agree with you and would also add, it's about the swing.. not the instrument. If your swing is shit, the club isn't going to perform no matter what. Played my first 9 of my life today. Shot 23 over and the head of my 28 y/o ping driver I got on Craigslist flew off and went about 80 yards down the fairway. I haven’t seen my dad laugh that hard in years lol but I also bounced a 25 yd chip off the flagpole. Had a blast and playing my first full 18 tomorrow! Thanks for inspiring me to get out there Rick!
@@ryguy8805 what about that makes me fos? I just played my 3rd full round today and I made 4 pars and ended the match using the same ball I started with. I was 10 over on the front 9 and 16 over on the back. The course is a 63 no par 5’s. I shot an 89 today and my previous best was a 104.
Update: about 3 months in now. Ive played 36 to 45 holes, 2 range sessions, 1 lesson, and a few hours dry swinging/drilling every week without fail since this comment. I’m regularly shooting in the 80’s on the short course my best being 83 which I’ve done 3 times now. I holed out from 93yds with my 55 degree in front of my dad the same day Bryson won the open. I still suck at chipping and pitching and I lose about 5-7 strokes a round to massive chunks but hardly going OB anymore as long as I don’t pull out my driver. I have no fairway woods either so my current driver is a TM rsi1 4i that I hit about 240-250 which is about 30 yds further than I was hitting it a month or so ago. My miss-hits went from a high slice to a straight left ball or a toe ball that usually doesn’t stray too far. Progressing in the game of golf is about as difficult and fun and addicting as anything I’ve ever done. I love this game.
Correct me if I am wrong but if the Qi10 is a fitted driver with what I assume is not a stock shaft option it's really comparing a $1200 driver to a $200 driver. Last 2 fitted drivers I bought were 1200-1300 dollars
You should subtly black out the logo. Lol. No one would ever question it not being a titelist I play the Kirkland balls. I think they should go to a simple KS logo and it would be more appealing
Or, find someone who fits the stock Kirkland driver, give them a new name brand driver that also fits their specs, and compare the two. That would help the most people, I think.
Great vid. The problem i have with the Kirkland is that while $200 is a great price, I can go get a cobra aerojet, a Callaway rouge, or maybe even a paradym, or a tsi3 for the same money used and I feel like they all have more potential. That being said, I saw a different video where they put a premium shaft in the Kirkland. (It has a Mizuno sleeve). The Kirkland kept up the the premium driver on good shots but lost on forgiveness and dispersion. Seems like all the Kirkland golf stuff is the same. It performs slightly worse than the major brands, but is an amazing VALUE for cost for NEW clubs/balls etc... on a personal level tho, I would look to the 2nd hand market for drivers and irons. I have some of their wedges and as long as their loft, bounce and grind works for you they perform well. I like them, just no options.
Another great review - thanks Rick! For those that don’t know, Costco also have an amazing “no quibble” returns policy. I’ve even heard instances of folks taking stuff back after a couple of years because they had a problem and getting a full refund.
As always, a good job and fair honest comparison. I would prefer to see you take 1 or 2 swings with each, then switch, and rotate until you have your full sample size. I think this helps negate being more loose/warm with 1 or the other.
On the 12 yards difference in average distance, you need to remember that’s when you hit it 280, If you only carry your driver 200-220 the difference should be even less, if there is a difference at all. Rick is swinging 112mph, so the extra spin on the Kirkland is hurting him, But if you’re swinging slower that extra spin could actually help you gain distance by keeping the ball in the air for longer
I found my brand new cobra radspeed for the same price as the Kirkland. And during Black Friday and end of the year, you could have found a PXG 0311 for 199. After saying all that, I would pick up a Kirkland driver and irons and the whole set today if I could. Great review Rick!!
@@ArizonaLogan I have the 0211 driver and LOVE it. I also game the 0211 xcor2 irons and they're also fantastic. I think the biggest advantage of pxg over the kirkland (as you said) is the shaft fitting. It's just a great deal. I'd love to hit the kirkland though! I play their wedges and love them.
Use to be the most you could expect for carry distance per clubhead speed was about 2.4 yds/mph. That you were up to 2.5 shows there’s been some real gains in the last couple decades when I was into this stuff. Back in the days of wood and the wound ball, more like 2.3 yds/mph.
Great review and interesting outcome. Is there any reason why you didn't use the same shaft and just swap the driver heads to make it a fairer comparison?
Good review. I like the honesty in his videos. He doesn't care about liking the look of the non name brands or feel of the clubs compared to the 1s he is testing against
I have both and this is exactly my experience. I use the Qi10 LS on course and sparingly on the range. I use the Kirkland like crazy on the range. I get about 10mph faster ball speed from my QI10, but it has a longer shaft, so I'm not sure if that's all due to efficiency.
What's crazy is I believe that this is Kirkland's first driver. To be able to compare even pretty close to a company that's been doing it for decades is impressive.
What's crazy is that after 20yrs of 'improvements' drivers only go 10yds further and puppets still line up to get a new one every year...so what's really amazing is how U manage to persuade ppl to part with $800 for a small amount of titanium, a sheet of carbon and a graphite stick.
Didn't rick do a test with driver through the years? If I remember we gained 10yrds every 10yrs. So if Kirkland lost 10yrds its equivalent to a 2014 driver.
I love seeing the Augusta hat. I was able to say hi to Rick on Wednesday, first time being on site at Augusta. Unreal place, very cool seeing Rick there
Need to find a few drives where swing speed, smash factor and angle of attack/face/path are similar to really know what the head does. The problems I have with yet another driver is yet another adapter. 112 hitting it 300 yards means your smash factor was almost perfect. What elevation are you set at?
Great review as always. A downside for the Kirkland is I can't actually buy one here in the US - it is always out of stock. On an unrelated note - you need to invite me over so I can hit other areas of your screen - I'm afraid the indentation from all of your perfect strikes into the screen is going to wear out and the rest of the screen will be in mint condition!
Great test thank you Rick. Add a second hand Fuji or other premium shaft in to your specs with a max spend of $100 and test again. Would be interesting to see the results then....
Hey Rick, On James Robinson's channel he put a Mizuno shaft he was fitted for and put in with the Kirkland Signature head (cause I guess they use the same adapter) and he noticed marked improvement. Questions I would have, would doing something similar and then comparing the Kirkland driver? And if so, would putting a fitted shaft still save money and provide comparable performance?
Hmmm... let's see, $200 for Kirkland driver, then $150-$200 for shaft fitting, then ~$350 for premium shaft. So about $700-$750 all said and done. Or $150-$200 for driver fitting (fitting fee might be waived with driver purchase), $550 for Qi10 + $350 for premium shaft. $900 for driver, $1050-$1100 if fitting fee not waived. You'd save $150 - $350, depending. I think performance would be comparable because the difference in this head to head really just came down to the shaft. xstiff fitted in the Qi10 vs stiff not fitted in the Kirkland.
@@kevan4852 This sort of goes along with what I was thinking to a degree. Let's say you've already done a fitting for a shaft in the past you're now in the market for just a head. Also, I would imagine that Rick already has a few shafts that are the same except the adapter so he can compare the drivers/woods for as close to an apples to apples comparison.
@@jongoh8646 I wish. 😆 Club Champion charges $175 for a driver fitting in my area. Golftec $150. Getting fit by a local pga pro could be anywhere from $50 to $500 depending on how in demand they are. Some golf stores will do low cost or free fittings, but they usually won't have premium shafts to test, only stock.
@@stephenmassey5144 If the swingweight is similar enough, then the previously fitted shaft could work. You might have to play with the loft sleeve some to adjust launch/spin. Keep in mind, you can always add a few grams of lead tape, but you can't take away weight if the head has no headweights. BTW, Kirkland head weighs 194.6g. Add 1"-1.25" for installed shaft playing length.
Driver performance gains from year to year is minimal but over the course of 5-6 years, you can find performance gains if you're fitted properly. You can obtain massive gains when going from a poor fitting club to a property dialed in driver, but there's usually a swing adjustment that needs to happen in combination to deliver the right club path. I went from a Ping G30 LST to SIM2 (6 year gap) and there was a significant improvement in forgiveness. I've since went from SIM2 to Srixon ZX5 LS (2 year gap) and there's another small step forward in forgiveness, but I made the switch to bring the spin down and the ZX5 LS does just that (still using the same shaft that was in the SIM2). I didn't see much ball speed differences from G30 to SIM2 but I did pick up a little speed with the ZX7 since the club's dynamics produces a lower dynamic loft vs the other 2.
Its refressing to hear that a cheaper version is not getting bashed , alot of people are golf snobs and buy big brands and their game is not good enough to warrant it , well done Rick
Thanks for review Ricky. As a 53…. I aspire to the sandbagger set up. The only Premiun clubs I have r my mizuno wedges. I go 3 lazerith hybrids 5, 7, 9. 4 wood driver. An old putter with lead tape about it. Even using a crappy old second hand bag. 😂😂😂. It’s a great scoring setup for my crappy 10-12 handicap. 😂😂😂
This is great content and would love to see more comparisons. I wouldn't say the big companies are ripping people off - if you want that extra performance and can afford it then its a personal preference. Kirkland have done an excellent job here.
In my opinion, the Qi10 is only for people who are willing to pay extra for the brand and for some extra yards. For me, although it is like a Placebo effect, it does give me some confidence when attempting to drive a fairway,
Love the review Rick! One thing to critique is that you’re incorrect about the loft on the Qi10 driver. The first two notches when lowering or raising loft on a TM driver hosel are .75°. Then the last notch to the “lower” or “higher” setting is .5°. So for example your Qi10 Max in this test was actually 9.75°. Not 9.66°.
I've been using the Kirkland driver since December. It's been wonderful. Of course I would love to go out and get a Qi10 or a Titleist, but for $200, can't go wrong with the Kirkland Sig
Surely, the dispersion pattern would be the deciding factor. Higher spin, larger dispersion pattern. You are always going to pay more for the more forgiving club
Better review would be £199 Kirkland driver vs £199 spent on top second hand driver....thats a real choice for most golfers .... If you have £200 to spend, Kirkland or 2nd hand TM/Ping/Callaway etc.... This review just showed that a £500 driver is better than a £200 driver...no news there.
I disagree. I want to see a new driver vs a new driver, as I'm not ever buying a used driver. I want to see exactly what I get for the additional $450. Plus a new Costco driver comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
For club golfers the optimal solution is to buy a Ping driver from about 2020 to 2021 and spend the savings on lessons from your local pro. Personal tuition will help you stay on the fairway - as will Paul Wilson's Bodyswing course.
I bought my Qi10 Max and it was tough, because I had the Sim2Max and I love that driver, but my misshits are going 15 yards further and that's really the difference between these newer drivers. My course is fairly simple, so it only matters on a single hole were we've got a bunker that requires atleast 225 carry, which I couldn't do on misshits before, but now I can and it's an easy wedge into a narrow green :D
Good review, but this is based on a good golfer with a consistent swing. I’m a 21 handicapper, so what would be better for me who doesn’t have the consistency? I tried the stealth 2 (because of its forgiveness) and hit it longer and straight each time, compared to my current driver, despite where on the clubhead I hit the ball. Shouldn’t the forgiveness be what I should gauge which club to buy?? Any advice will be appreciated.
Is a better comparison what would new Costco do v a 2nd hand 200 premium brand driver performance?? Would shows if that’s people’s budget what are they better to buy.
So based on past videos....Sim 2 Max should destroy the Kirkland driver, correct? I'd love to see that test, being they are both in similar pricing categories.
Rick what was the dispersion comparison? The Qi10 looked more forgiving which is part of its sell? Did that come through in the test. ps my RS shoes got delivered today, they look the business!
For me, who grew up in that time when drivers were just starting to be mixed material, irons were all either chunky hybrid clubs or butter knives, and putters were all blades of some sort the new drivers are crazy. I’m happy to have nice clubs at a discount, but £500 seems excessive to be sure
I wish we were shown the shot dispersion difference. I understand one club is fitted and the other is off the shelf, but I'd be curious how much more/less dispersion there was with the Kirkland. The yardage makes sense with the spin as stated in the video, but I'm curious if the Qi10 actually helps the dispersion and miss hits or if its all just marketing.
I said this on the other video as well... I'd love to see the Kirkland compared to the PXG 0211 driver... which is a similar price point but is much more customizable even ordered online.
I had the PXG 0211 a few years ago and absolutely hated it, ridiculously unforgiving, despite getting the spec I wanted. Got rid of it and got a used TSI3 and it's chalk and cheese the difference. I'd buy older models of the big brands over budget options all day long.
A good test would be Kirkland vs a similar priced older model Ping, Callaway, Titleist or Taylormade. Then make it a buy old and trusted vs cheaper new club test...
Would love to see what Kirkland can do with a shaft that fits your swing better. That should help optimize the spin a bit, and get some better carry numbers.
If you really want a new in box driver for ~$200, then really the best option is the PXG 0211. Head is decent, similar to the Kirkland, but you'll have more options on loft, shafts, flex, and grips.
Nice video and loved the comparison. I would like te see the result of the dispersion. It seems to me like with the Kirkland you were hitting more shot way to the left. But very impressive performance of Kirkland. Thanks Rick.
Really good video once again. It would have been better if you had got a 10.5 Qi10 with a stiff shaft and compared the two. I bet they would have been very similar. The loft and the flex of the shaft in the Kirkland killed it. Love your stuff Rick, keep it up.
It seems like today you just weren’t hitting the Kirkland as sharply as yesterday. The numbers were OK but you had some drives that hit 300+ yards one was 308. But the QI 10 did a great job, overall. I think for the same money you could find a condition used Taylormade M1, Callaway Epic Max LS, Callaway Mavrik that would rock the boat and do just as good as the QI 10. But for the price charged by Costco a fantastic buy and a shafted upgrade would likely increase performance also.
If you're pushing for the Ryder Cup then it makes sense to get the Taylor Made. For nearly everyone else, you'll get more distance spending the extra £300 on coaching than you will do from buying the best club on the market. Similar story with guitars. David Gilmour playing David Gilmour's custom Strat is going to be better than David Gilmour playing my made in Mexico Strat. Me playing David Gilmour's custom Strat is still me. The odd note might sound great but I'm not going to suddenly bang out the solo from Comfortably Numb.
A great comparison would be the Kirkland vs like the sim 2 for £50 more, or a used Callaway/TM/Titleist at a similar price point. You can’t get fitted for anyone of them so they’d be direct competitors!
Hi Rick, I would like to see if the numbers would change if you put an extra stiff shaft in the Kirkland. If you have an extra stiff shaft in a Mizuno driver, you can swap them out with the Kirkland. Apparently they have similar adapters.
Rick, I watched James Robinson’s videos and he switched out the shafts with a mizuno adapter. That way you can put an extra stiff shaft in it and properly give it a test.
For kicks it would be interesting to see what would happen if you put an extra stiff shaft in that. I only swing 105 but for some reason an extra stiff gives me the best feel, distance, and best accuracy.
Excellent video...for the price it's gotta be the Kirkland especially for your average golfer. Curious if there would have been any difference in speed/power were you to use your fitted shaft from the Qi10 on the Kirkland head. Basically be testing the heads only. Great job either way👍
Never stood a chance with the stiff Evenflow shaft. But I appreciate you doing it that way because it shows what someone is getting. If they’re happy with the results then it works for them. Now test it against the 10 yr old Callaway Optiforce
Great review Rick, this really help put the honest facts together in one place, we can then make informed decisions around our own priorities, thanks great to have the H.I.T channel back
Great video! I'd be very interested in you verifying loft and lie angles of all clubs you test. I have purchased clubs with varying lofts and lie angles within the set. I want to know what manufactures actually provide reliable clubs.
Most viewers don't have your swing speed and therefore the Kirkland stiff shaft would suit them better. So you take someone with 100-105 mph swing speed and a stiff shaft in both these drivers and the results could be much closer or equal.
RICK!!! Please do a re test where you use the correct shaft in the Kirkland. Use your fitted shaft with a mizuno tip and test it 1 to 1. That’s the true test we all wanna see
Check out used (or new) Mizuno drivers. It's pretty hard to argue with the prices and their performance great. I bought a used ST-Z 220 last season for rougly the same price as that Kirkland, and I'm almost positive the Kirkland won't beat it. I wouldn't drop Qi10 money for a possible marginal performance upgrade either.
If the only consideration was pounds per yard, the Kirkland would win hands down, especially as it’s only 10 to 12 yards shorter. Interesting review, as always. Not sure what I’d experience between the Budget Kirkland and the top end TaylorMade driver. At the end of the day, it’s going to be down to whatever the motivation is on the day. Personally I’d probably be looking at the end of a line previous season or previous year, or several years drivers to compare & make a decision, if we’re in the market for a new driver. If all I had was £200 to spend on a driver, I suppose the Kirkland would be an option. But equally, if I were prepared to pay upwards of £500 on a driver, which I think is ridiculous, no matter how much research has gone into it, I suppose the TaylorMade might be an option too. 🤷♂️
Hey, Rick, is it possible to do A Review of the kirkland signature with an aftermarket fitted shaft and see the difference??? Because it's basically A Review of two top end products to one.. love the content keep it up!
Would be great to see a video comparison of the Kirkland driver vs a second hand driver in a similar price range. Sounds like a golf bidder collab to me!
Neah.... the differences are definitely from the shaft. It's not even the same stiffness, but also it is fitted custom shaft vs. Stock shaft. This just proved that there is not too much gain on club head, but it's more for custom fitted shaft now.
Rick, I would love to see you re-shaft the Kirkland with an extra stiff shaft and hit first with that as opposed to the TaylorMade. Some of us are getting “longer in the tooth.” I believe that swing speed drops slightly during the round. I wonder if there would be a difference in spin rate and carry as well. Just my thoughts. Great review, otherwise.
Would love to see a full round with the Kirkland Signature (Full set when you get your hands on the irons), think it would really open eyes as to budget golf
On the first video with the Kirkland Rick hit it farther. I definitely think that hitting the Qi10 first, with its x flex shaft, then moving to a stiff caused Rick to not really go after it. In practical terms, depending on where you play, roll out will matter. Now I’m not saying the Kirkland is better, but $600 vs $199 (I actually paid $137 for mine), an amateur golfer that plays once or twice a week, shouldn’t have any complaints about the Kirkland.
Absolutely agree. This is true of all drivers really. I still have a ping G10. I got fit the other day for the newest ping and tested it for a few hours, basically couldn't tell the difference in distance compared to my G10 so I'm sticking with it.
It should be noted that the max version of the Qi10 was used here which in Rick's own test between it and the other two Qi10 models, went less far. I would like to see a comparison between the Costco driver and the standard Qi10.
The spin deviation on the Kirkland was actually better.I wish we would have been able to see the dispersion to see if the kirkland or the q I ten was tighter. If you ask me. 2/3 the price only 12 yd.I would take that every day.
Id like to see that kirkalnd shaft in the qi10 and vice versa. Its hard to know how good the driver head is, if the shaft isnt right. I was sponsored by Bang years ago with aldila NV shafts and I hit it further than any club ive owned. And they are junk. None of my friends could hit it. But the shaft was right. We did testing with shafts and heds swapping (back then you had to glue them all! And found that the combinations were just too varying to compare. Had to test shafts and heads seperately.
The performance difference is interesting when you consider whether higher handicap players will actually get the distance benefits from the higher priced drivers
I would love to see you do the Kirkland with an extra stiff shaft and see how close they are. Maybe with a new shaft and now 300 pounds does it close the gap with the 500 pound drive?
There's a third option when buying drivers thoug, just go for one of the top brand's drivers from 1-2 years ago and you'll make a massive saving without sacrificing distance
Yep for 150 you get a hell of a driver

I would agree with you and would also add, it's about the swing.. not the instrument. If your swing is shit, the club isn't going to perform no matter what. Fix your swing and then find what might fit your swing best. That's what I'm currently going through. I can all the forgiveness in the world but if I hit two feet behind the ball or come over the top with a big slice, the most forgiving clubs in the world won't help that.
You’re so fos
@@ryguy8805 what about that makes me fos? I just played my 3rd full round today and I made 4 pars and ended the match using the same ball I started with. I was 10 over on the front 9 and 16 over on the back. The course is a 63 no par 5’s. I shot an 89 today and my previous best was a 104.
@@BonedGolfandFish your doing good, just ignore him, enjoy the game.
You must have massive swing speed to send a driver head 80 yards down the fairway !
Correct me if I am wrong but if the Qi10 is a fitted driver with what I assume is not a stock shaft option it's really comparing a $1200 driver to a $200 driver. Last 2 fitted drivers I bought were 1200-1300 dollars
I’ve been using the Kirkland driver for the past few months. Absolutely love it. I’ve had people think it was a Titliest and a Srixon
You should subtly black out the logo. Lol. No one would ever question it not being a titelist
I play the Kirkland balls. I think they should go to a simple KS logo and it would be more appealing
Lol. Like those people that put Lexus emblems on their Toyotas🤣
do you still have it to this day ?
I'd love to see it compared to a second hand driver you can get for the same price. That's the real question.
nice comment- great idea for
someone. I would watch.
Or, find someone who fits the stock Kirkland driver, give them a new name brand driver that also fits their specs, and compare the two. That would help the most people, I think.
There's no excuse to by new drivers. I'm hitting a 2011 Taylormade Rocketballz driver 300yds. I'd probably hit their brand new driver 320. No thanks
A calaway paradym for $200? Are you high?
Another great review - thanks Rick! For those that don’t know, Costco also have an amazing “no quibble” returns policy. I’ve even heard instances of folks taking stuff back after a couple of years because they had a problem and getting a full refund.
Golf is 90% the person and 10% the equipment.
As always, a good job and fair honest comparison. I would prefer to see you take 1 or 2 swings with each, then switch, and rotate until you have your full sample size. I think this helps negate being more loose/warm with 1 or the other.
Purchased one 3 days ago after this review and I have to say its fantastic, hitting on average 240 / 250 very easy to use thank you Rick 👏👏👏
On the 12 yards difference in average distance, you need to remember that’s when you hit it 280,
If you only carry your driver 200-220 the difference should be even less, if there is a difference at all.
Rick is swinging 112mph, so the extra spin on the Kirkland is hurting him,
But if you’re swinging slower that extra spin could actually help you gain distance by keeping the ball in the air for longer
Yep.
I found my brand new cobra radspeed for the same price as the Kirkland. And during Black Friday and end of the year, you could have found a PXG 0311 for 199. After saying all that, I would pick up a Kirkland driver and irons and the whole set today if I could. Great review Rick!!
I second the motion for PXG vs Kirkland. Rick has yet to review the new version of the 0211 (it is also $199 but with multiple shaft options).
@@aarondrossart6026 can you describe the shaft fitting part of the pXG experience?
Well, if Callaway is involved, they've been doing this for a long time too.
Taylormade is horrifically overrated as is a majority of brand new drivers.
They are almost certainly outsourcing their R&D to one of the big companies. Rumors say Calloway
Sim golf isn’t the same as real golf.
In stock now
Great test thank you Rick. Add a second hand Fuji or other premium shaft in to your specs with a max spend of $100 and test again. Would be interesting to see the results then....
question... if you could have a fitted extra stiff shaft fitted to the Kirkland, could that make up the difference?
Hey Rick,
On James Robinson's channel he put a Mizuno shaft he was fitted for and put in with the Kirkland Signature head (cause I guess they use the same adapter) and he noticed marked improvement. Questions I would have, would doing something similar and then comparing the Kirkland driver? And if so, would putting a fitted shaft still save money and provide comparable performance?
Hmmm... let's see,
$200 for Kirkland driver, then $150-$200 for shaft fitting, then ~$350 for premium shaft. So about $700-$750 all said and done.
Or
$150-$200 for driver fitting (fitting fee might be waived with driver purchase), $550 for Qi10 + $350 for premium shaft.
@@kevan4852 200$ for a fitting? You must be using that trottie guy for a fitting.
What was the dispersion difference? Is the Kirkland just as accurate especially on the longer ones or does it spray a bit to the right with length?
That goes for most sports, but people keep buying the marketing hype.
Best I've seen you swing Rick, great side tilt, true comparison for the 2 clubs.
For me, although it is like a Placebo effect, it does give me some confidence when attempting to drive a fairway,
that extra spin the kirkland gave you could help the normal every day golfer
RICK TEST THE TAKOMO DRIVER PLEASE
Love the review Rick! One thing to critique is that you’re incorrect about the loft on the Qi10 driver. The first two notches when lowering or raising loft on a TM driver hosel are .75°. Then the last notch to the “lower” or “higher” setting is .5°. So for example your Qi10 Max in this test was actually 9.75°. Not 9.66°.
You should change the shaft to match, someone said the Mizuno shaft fits the Kirkland driver socket!! Could be another good review Rick?
What do you think happens with all those free clubs and fittings that Taylormade gives hlm if he allows the Kirkland best to be the longer hitter?
I've been using the Kirkland driver since December. It's been wonderful. Of course I would love to go out and get a Qi10 or a Titleist, but for $200, can't go wrong with the Kirkland Sig
Surely, the dispersion pattern would be the deciding factor. Higher spin, larger dispersion pattern. You are always going to pay more for the more forgiving club
Backspin helps the ball go straight, no?
I think lower spin might also lower the variance of spin across multiple swings making it overall more consistent
I'd wanna see 2017 m2 vs the Costco driver vs the Qi10
What is the Kirkland driver loft sleeve compatible with? Is it the same as any other manufacturer? Callaway perhaps?
Rick, I'd like to see dispersion compared in tests like this. You're not just paying for speed, you're also getting much higher MOI clubheads.
What adapter does the Kirkland driver use? Would love you to hit it with a x-stiff shaft in it and compare again.
How much of the difference do you attribute to the difference in the flex of the shaft?
I said this on the other video as well... I'd love to see the Kirkland compared to the PXG 0211 driver... which is a similar price point but is much more customizable even ordered online.
I had the PXG 0211 a few years ago and absolutely hated it, ridiculously unforgiving, despite getting the spec I wanted. Got rid of it and got a used TSI3 and it's chalk and cheese the difference. I'd buy older models of the big brands over budget options all day long.
The Kirkland driver is solid! I just bought a Stealth secondhand not too long ago and im loving it, but both of these look not too bad
You need to do a comparison between the Costco driver and the Adam's driver from last year, the price is the same between them. Love your videos
A good test would be Kirkland vs a similar priced older model Ping, Callaway, Titleist or Taylormade.
Then make it a buy old and trusted vs cheaper new club test...
I managed to pick up a Callaway Paradym X Driver, 3 Wood & 5 Wood for £350. Massively changed my game, thank you to my brother in law 😊
Thanks Rick.
probably because of the shaft. it only has a stiff, whereas the qi10 has an x-stiff. and rick was fit for the qi10, wich you cant do with the kirkland
Amen!
A great comparison would be the Kirkland vs like the sim 2 for £50 more, or a used Callaway/TM/Titleist at a similar price point. You can’t get fitted for anyone of them so they’d be direct competitors!
I’m pretty new to golf but I just got the Kirkland driver and love it!
How much is that is the difference between the stiff and xstiff shaft?
Does it make a difference which one you hit first..
RICK!!! Please do a re test where you use the correct shaft in the Kirkland. Use your fitted shaft with a mizuno tip and test it 1 to 1. That’s the true test we all wanna see
Would be great to see a comparison of the Kirkland driver and the PXG 0211. Similar price points
You can replace the kirkland shaft with a mizuno shaft people are saying, therefore somewhat of a fitting for you and makes it even closer to Q10
Hey, Rick, is it possible to do A Review of the kirkland signature with an aftermarket fitted shaft and see the difference??? Because it's basically A Review of two top end products to one.. love the content keep it up!
Great video, surprised at how well the Kirkland has performed, it’s absolutely brilliant!
Would be great to see a video comparison of the Kirkland driver vs a second hand driver in a similar price range. Sounds like a golf bidder collab to me!
I think a 3rd test where you use your fitted shaft on the Kirkland would be nice for the comparison
Neah.... the differences are definitely from the shaft.
Rick, that studio looks stunning. Fair play you've done a really good with that.
Your a pro Rick ..what if someone only Carrie's it 220 surely the difference would be a few yards so no difference except the price
12yds is about a 2 club difference for an iron so it's small in distance but could be the difference between an 8 iron into the green or a 6 iron
Would love to see Rick play a 9 hole with a full Kirkland set!
Driver, irons, putter, and ball
