Lots of UA-camrs have 2nd channels. But how often does a UA-camr's 2nd channel become their new main channel? Well that's exactly what happened to UA-cam duo Rhett & Link with their hit series "Good Mythical Morning!" On today's episode of "A Brief History" we take a look at how a couple of dudes from North Carolina went from making music videos and comedy sketches for fun to being the faces of UA-cam's premiere variety show!

This video made me feel SO OLD. I literally started watching “GMM” from the first episode of Good Morning Chia Lincoln. Dang time has FLOWN by. Even through all of the big changes in content over the years I have loved what they’ve done (maybe except the mythical show, blegh). I can’t wait to see what’s next !

This is interesting to learn. I know i’m super late watching this, but i’ve watched their stuff for like 2 years and didn’t know most of this and it shines a new sort of light on how creative they actually are. I feel like recently (right before the pandemic because right now it’s understandable) that they were starting to adhere to a format that seemed to give them the most views, but i’d love to see them do more sketches and such. It’s nice to have things changed or show a something completely new once in a while.
I miss their channel before it became a YT Original but hey, I seriously don't blame them for taking the offer.
Brenin Watson they'll be going back to 2 vids a day next season!
Though I wonder if that means they will no longer have expected budget from YT
As of August, Rhett and Link got rid of the offer for their show as a UA-cam original. They returned to their original segment.
Even now after they switched back to their regular gmm show it feels like their soul has been taken out of them. Idk. Gmm feels like a sad heartless show. Now I only watch ear biscuits or their vlogs & I LOVE those episodes. I keep on giving gmm a try every week but it feels so sad. It feels like a big corporation took over gmm & never let go.

Rhett and Link are absolute masters. Being premier internetainers while also being the patriarchs to two happy familys. All while being life long best friends. They are life goals to the max. I'm honored to call myself a Mythical Beast who makes their show part of my daily routine.
One of my favorite of their vids has to be both of the Famous Last Words
I wake up to them every morning (besides the weekend and when they take a break) it's just so nice to have something to look forward to every morning like them. Familiar friendly faces with silly (doesn't take itself too seriously) content.

Wow... I subscribed to Rhett and Link in January of 2011 (after they did a collab with Wheezy Waiter) and it's pretty crazy how much they've changed and grown as UA-camrs since I started following them 7 years ago. I can't believe it's been that long! So much has changed! The first A Brief History video you made for them was awesome, but It's pretty cool to see an updated summary of everything that's happened since the last one. Why are the years going by so fast??
