Lets be honest. If we had housing in abundance, plentiful and cheap. Had built nuclear power stations en masse over the decades we should've been building them. Flipped the economy to one of manufacturing and became protectionist in industry's like steel, scrapped net zero, because that is a huge tension on the economy. We would have cheap homes, cheap energy, cheap food. Controlled immigration and some damn positive politicians who are fit for the challenge, would've created a different world we now face. Nobody would be having issues. We all know taxes, especially council tax is about to sky rocket under this useless Labour Party. These unions need to remember, foreign aid, wars and immigrants are the main priority of Labour. Any money they give you, they'll get it back and more.
Who needs decent wages, pensions and good working conditions? Far better to be paid a pittance so the employers can make huge profits and work until you drop

Philanthropy is not alive in investors at the moment and it is about cutting cloth to increase profit. Sustainability it's title. In a perfect world then the balance between wages and profits is good for all involved. When the world is running down and struggling through greed and profiteering then the worker takes it in the neck. To say people are not being imported for cheep labour is a lie. It's clearly desired by business economies and has happened over the last ten years. I saw it when I worked, as standard's and quality dropped because of imported labour. Cheapness of labour does not aid economies because the customer quickly observes product quality decline. Take a look in any supermarket, ask Americans about their food quality. Immigration as we have seen in Britain doesn't work during a decline. It's a gamble in a decline and the ship will list even more as imbalance advances to one side of the profit lose ship. Immigration has to be done wisely, in a controlled manner and with efficiency. Britain has none of these things at the moment. And as I said earlier, the customer soon sees methodology quality breakdown as it does with products. And here we are. all sides arguing on how to get back on track and no real action and answers. The reason fear of lose from those that have more than they need for 20 life times. The workers struggles just to survive.
