I'll never understand super passive play by people in trios, it's not fun and its not even that rewarding to be honest, particularly if you are straight up avoiding fights. Me and the people i play with have a strict "fight everybody" rule when we play as trios. Its either a clean sweep or we die trying, its the most fun way to play IMO
Some people only play 1 or 2 games a day. A lot of the player base of hunt are 20-50 year old men. So they try to make their lives count. Most of the ones that make it to 5-6* are the patient ones, and they are immersed in their world of hunt. So waiting is natural when it comes to hunting anything. Some of them hunt animals in real life, so they take the same tactics to hunt players.
The majority of the people in the game play like this because at it's core the game REWARDS people for playing like that and punishes people that move.
it's actually insane to see something like a bornheim be so much better now to compensate shotguns with the headshot range now being out of the equation for a good sidearm
My first game on the new old map I waited outside of the ne corner compound for bounty team to even peak for almost 10 min and no one made a move, the second I moved In I got headshoted wallbang by a duel new army at 50m from the outside team, I just ragequited that xd
man i wish i had the confidence to negage in firefights so openly i generally run like a headless chicken until they are at shotgun range. there is something about the aim that i just can aim well enough since the new update i dont know what it is
If you are having trouble aiming at aiming, some stuff you can try - Shooting range and tuning your sensitivity/settings. Sometimes you need to change stuff up. The shooting range is great for testing in real time. - Patience while aiming (Disclaimer: I Dont Know You TL;DR: Tips for Improvment). It sounds kinda patronizing, but everyone needs to hear it from time to time. Myself included. Master Yourself type shit. Take your time, breath, aim. Generally speaking you have way more time than you think to shoot, and its almost always worth taking the time to shoot with as much _Intent_ as possible. That doesnt mean stand still for a million years, but look at horn for example. You can see streamers with like 15k hours flick like psychos, but you dont need that really. Watch. They wait around coners for people to peak them, they bait out aggression, they project where their head is likely going to be and aim THERE. Now scale that to whatever skill level you're at, right? Set reasonable expectations off that. Just because you cant do it as smoothly or and quickly as a dude who _plays the game for a living,_ doesnt mean you cant apply the same stuff. It just takes pactice and *intent* to get better at. Just makes it easier to know what to improve with with that intent bit. That hard part about learning from your mistakes I guess. And helps stifle the pani because eventually you just 'know what to do.' Otherwise, it's just blind practice till 5k hours later, you magically figure out how to get better, lol. Trust me, bad strategy lol
For engagement, because I lost the plot (lmao); Use cover, dont run in straight lines. Time your running if you reconize the gun sound, like pushing a sparks after they shoot. But Hunt's and info game, if you dont Know they have a spear or a shotgun or whatever, try not to blindly run into it. Mouse movement, i.e., changing direction with your vision, is always going to be less predictable than any WASD movement. Consider that in your "avoiding be shot in the face" maneuvers, lol.
I took a long break from hunt and came back for the update. I can tell you that the shooting range helped significantly. Practice getting headshots from a neutral stance as fast as you can
burn speed should have gotten a 50% buff, not 150%. thats such an absurdly large increase im convinced they didnt think very hard about it. Saw it in the patchnotes and KNEW that would be a problem day one and its validating to see thats the popular opinion. edit: what if 150% burn speed only while actively burning in a fire pool like liquid fire bomb, could return use to firebombs over things like fusees and flares for a fast burn at the cost of an equipment.
I love trio games like this, where people camp out. I run in with my buddies yelling profanities on VOIP and ruin their lives. It's so much fun, I don't know how people could stand sitting in a compound all day. Seems way too boring.
On the new map I have everything on medium but textures on high, I keep a stable 120 with vsync on in 1440p. I've got the same specs + 64gb ram. could be a driver issue or something in the background eating up real estate? I have to close browser tabs and pause music/tv or things get kinda choppy
hunt is a bit wonky with that cpu, I think it's core (thread) 8 and/or core 9 that have highest boost clock out of all the P-cores and if for whatever reason your system decides to give it a different core it does seem to work worse.
In half of my games in 6* lobbies (formerly 5*) I'm the only one who pushes lairs in compounds where three different teams gathered, but everybody sits in their sides of the compound and nobody even rotates. I guess burn changes did this: nobody wants to lose their teammate, so everyone just waits for better opportunity to push until one team finally gets bored. It started getting ridiculous and I've lost a bit of the desire to play, even though I have almost 3000 hours and really love the game.
Literally the same, had a game where I was just surrounded by 3 teams and am not even joking when I say we sat here for 23 fucking minutes (I even went afk for like 2-3 mins during that time) until I just got so fed up decided to make a break for it with my bounty. Didn't want to start a new game after I extracted. They didn't even chase me they just continued camping.
@@L4dy_Kum that stinks. It seems like they wanted to try to encourage fights to be more proactive and less campy, but I think the cranked up fire is definitely part of the cause… when the punishment for dying once is “you get either no Hp when you come up, or you’re dead forever” it makes sense that people would play much more cautiously. Maybe letting burn rates be high on someone who’s alive and able to stop their own burning, but slower, more prepatch time on dead people would help?
I thought my bro and I were doing something wrong because that’s all of our games. People just don’t in compounds fight. It doesn’t help that I’m max MMR even though I haven’t played in years and had a grand total of 40 hours before that
You're so on point lol I sometimes feel like the whole lobby would sit scared and do nothing for 45 minutes if not for one Solo showing up and crank up the party. Sometimes I'm loosing my patience to that lol
People will let "winning" get in the way of actually having fun, like afking a mile away from a compound. Love the game but the way people play it sometimes sucks, I feel like im gonna fall asleep fighting against some poeple.
I dont get it why people purposely get disadvantaged by center crosshair like listen... 1. Muscle memory, you gotta adjust to it for quite some time, I have been playing since beta almost every day so it is pretty hard... 2. It takes your entire damn screen and half of the peripheral vision on the monitor, not good at all Prove me wrong
Uuuuuh, as a decade plus very skilled aimer, muscle memory is a farce, especially for highly skilled movements like mouse aiming, I recommend looking at the studies that are currently available. And the reason for centered is very obvious, for most fps players we have a long time of centered gaming, and at least for me it is much more visually comfortable, especially for getting head shots because of where I am used to my bullets going based on the visual of my cross hair in cenetered.
Why do you need to be seeing so far up using lowered crosshair? This game isn’t very vertical and the various floor traps make it useful to see where you’re walking. Also, there’s no muscle memory while aiming. You don’t repeat any of the motions in the same way multiple times, different movements are required for each time you aim. Not being used to the center crosshair is a personal issue and not necessarily a valid complaint for all players. You do not lose any peripheral vision. The displayed image is the same, except that a portion of the top of the screen is cut and pasted from the top to the bottom. Lowered crosshair also discourages keeping your crosshair at the center of the screen where you should be expecting an enemy. I see that most of its users tend to keep their crosshair on the floor, making it harder to quickly aim.
I blame other youtubers, all they do is spam long ammo and hide in a single compound with traps because "its the op way to play hunt!" "These traps are OP NOW!" i blame them and the players just follow along like sheep.... Also burn changes completely ruined being push heavy because everyone is scared to perma die and everyone and their mother in 6* is using flare pistol, game needs some changes molotovs and lanterns are now pointless which is sad.
