I'm new to this game and its honestly really impressive how well designed the map is. All the little gaps in the housing or doorways that leave sneaky sightlines to other players is super cool

From the couple days I’ve played, I’ve died over and over again and it’s definitely hard. However it’s such a cool experience and I keep wanting to play more. The nice thing is that the games really aren’t too long so you can fit a couple runs into an hour gaming session

Hey Hornet just wanted to say I hit 6 star for the first time recently after not playing for a month+. I attribute most of my learning the ins and outs of this game and what separates it from others to you. Thank you so much for putting out amazing content!
Man the new compunds feel soooo refreshing and are a blast to fight in! Also shotguns feel great now also. Rly loving the update so far. *Insert onligatory UI compalining line here*

I'm surprised they didnt have even more bugs when you think about last updates and events. Also they added so many good new and fun things on top of all that, but some crybabies only focus on ui and call the game "unplayable" because of it, thats just pathetic... I mean the problems with like amd and stuff sucks (but also some of it happens because people use their 15 year old pc to Play hunt, maybe its time to simply upgrade after all that time tho). But to simply give an game a bad review (with means that the game sucks) only because they dont like the look of the new ui, in which they maybe spend 5-10% of their total game time in... I dont even have words for that, its just beyond dumb. Maybe they shouldve used their energy to simply write normal critics to the devs and just say, which aspects they could improve but hey, that would cost 5 minutes of their time 😅
@hornetlul I love the buffed shotguns so much. You now can actually use them, at distances where shotguns don't feel bad to use. It's absolutely bonkers, that you can shoot people, from 15-20m without feeling bad

I have to say, as a 2-3 star, slug shotguns are the thing to use. For instance, I recently had one trio match where my group came upon around 7 different people using auto5/slate slug guns (2 trios, 1 solo). the majority of these people were listed as under lvl20 prestige0, so I imagine many of these players are old with new accounts. quite fun, though.
My old gtx 1070 ti is struggling on this new update, even with DLSS (running 2k res, even 1080 is rough) can't wait to play again once I build a new PC update: sorry yall, i meant fsr. but im having graphical bugs like consistent shimmering on the edges when there's motion (e.g. character arms, esp skin parts get bundles of star shimmers). stuttering seems to be a major issue as well, but that was already part the case all throughout the years of lack of optimiziation in this game. edit 2: yes, i'm well aware of the new min spec and the age of the gpu. thats not my point though and i have no issue with upgrading as I've planned it out for some time now. Just too busy these days
1070 here too. I am surprisingly having no graphical problems. Some places I've 110 frames, drops to 60 most of the time. Mostly other bugs (opening map freezing entire game, Hellborn flying over train carts and stairs, etc.)

@@Genesizs Most CCs are switching to it. If you want an explanation as to why watch Rachtaz. He has a video explaining the pros and cons of the cross hairs, and how he never truly got used to the lowered one, but if you prefer it, use it, it has it's own advantages.
@@gunsmackk because they want more close corner fights. Thats the reason they give a perk like surefoot, also the reason they buff traps and shotguns. Everything to escape the range only long ammo meta that is there for years now. And if you dont believe me just look at the map, there are so many possibilities to sneak up close to people and sure there are open spaces for sniper but at the same time there are enough ways around these spaces. Or just the mines alone are anti sniper. I mean i dont think, they should nerf sniper gameplay to the ground, but i sure can see, why people were annoyed about the 300m snipes and so they did something against it
I believe the stutters you’re referring to at 7:00 are just a bug. The game will slowly eat up all of mine and my friends vram causing performance to tank. We have to restart our games to fix it. Hope crytek can fix it soon
its deffo weird in some games i have massive stutters and then the very next game with no restart its completely fine but i got a couple matches ruined because of them
Well he just plays hunt for hours each day and he is just really really good at the game. So i think its not surprising that he had some good rounds to share

This update is a 9/10 for me everything is good besides the Lobby. I sometimes just exit after launching when I see the UI just because it is such a hassle to do ANYTHING. I still don't even know how you save loadouts now.

The new burn time is crazy. Personally I'm not sure weather to hate it or love it. Definitely makes life as a solo a bit easier but totally sucks the wind out of your sails if your in a trio/duo without any bounty token. Graphical changes are nice but i think the optimization took a bit of a hit, my 2060 super struggles to keep good frames at max settings unlike before. I suppose that's to be expected with the update to fidelity but its annoying none the less. Other than those two gripes i'd say this new update is pretty slick all things considered. And it's good to see hornet is still pub stomping despite the changes haha
Saw a couple of performance comments. I bave a 3060ti and wasn't getting great frames so. Putting everything to low. Object quality to ultra. And dlss to quality gives me a really steady decent framerate (120) hope this helps
Something weird I've experienced with the new engine is V-sync destroys my performance and makes the sens all weird. Other graphical settings have bugs like this on AMD GPUs too

In the olden days, the health was restored within a second and players would just swap out of the animation to shorten the time. Now they have to wait till the whole syringe is injected and the needle is pulled out.

Is there a way to adjust hud scale .. I've looked for hours to not find it with new updates. My resolution is native but my equipment icons and everything are too far towards the middle of the screen and they are also too large for me. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
I know you asked him but if you allow some knowledge. The Romero has more range but only one shot. The Rival has two shots and therefor if the first misses, you got another one in the chamber. Romero means you gotta position and calculate your movement very well if your shots dont land. Same goes for nearly all shot guns but most other shotguns have more than two bullets, so these two need good movement and in the best case (good aim) you can get OS with both weapons on the right distance. Its probably what suits YOU best. The one shot Romero and move for reload or the double shot Rival.
Romero seems to be great for those who can line up their cross-hair/predict where an enemy will peek. I personally run Rival just for the additional bullet, plus it looks cooler lol.

I know Surefoot effects noise while crouching, but at times it seems like I can hardly hear your movement while you're walking around. It's like you're gliding, am I just going crazy?
I honestly think it's ridiculous how strong shotguns are now. They we're inconsistent before and it was frustrating tagging someone 2 m in front of you who was in dead center of the cross hair without killing, sure. But then you could just make the cross hair represent the true spread area, have the spread consistent but increase it a little bit and also not increase the damage over distance. Of course that's not realistic, if it was the spread would be even smaller and you could kill someone on 30 m easily. No one would play anything else than shotguns anymore.... Now I'm afraid of the compounds on the old maps which already were hard to get in, but now it's going to be a nightmare.... But: cryteck seems very responsive lately, so I hope for some adjustments....
I do believe they plan to rework the compounds on older maps a little as they optimise them for the new engine. That’s why it’ll be a while until the old maps are back. I could be wrong though.

Its more the game fault i have in some area's 30 fps and in others 100 fps

Dlss is not supported by non-rtx GPUs I think, you should give a try at fsr

What's the buff?
Is there a way to adjust hud scale .. I've looked for hours to not find it with new updates. My resolution is native but my equipment icons and everything are too far towards the middle of the screen and they are also too large for me. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
there is no hud scale in the current UI unfortunately

somebody please tell me how romero slug is priced more than a crossbow, it what world does this make sense
Hornet would you recommend the rival over the romero on console,i like both but sometimes i just feel like the romero is a pc gun
I know you asked him but if you allow some knowledge.
The Romero has more range but only one shot.
The Rival has two shots and therefor if the first misses, you got another one in the chamber.
Romero means you gotta position and calculate your movement very well if your shots dont land.
Same goes for nearly all shot guns but most other shotguns have more than two bullets, so these two need good movement and in the best case (good aim)
you can get OS with both weapons on the right distance.
Its probably what suits YOU best. The one shot Romero and move for reload or the double shot Rival.
@@tobybll also u can play both slug and pelet in romero which is nice in some scenarios
Romero seems to be great for those who can line up their cross-hair/predict where an enemy will peek. I personally run Rival just for the additional bullet, plus it looks cooler lol.

So many phantom bullets syndrome lately in hunt. U shoot someone in non drop range *dead on* but u don't hit anything. Happens a lot lately and has been happening to my shotbolts too

Anyone experiencing ghost bullets? Literally on target face to face and get no registration. Has never really happened to me as frequently as it has this update. Great video tho

My series x struggles hard with this update durimg fights. The frames drop into the gutter.
I know Surefoot effects noise while crouching, but at times it seems like I can hardly hear your movement while you're walking around. It's like you're gliding, am I just going crazy?
Sure foot is legitimately just busted
3060 here and i also get stuttering sometimes when there are a lot of players fighting in the same spot and i never had this problem before.
What changed about shotguns?
I believe it was mainly making two tapping hunters stronger and more consistent
Crosshair got changed to match the actual spread of the buckshot

essentially they reduced the spread and increased the range for every shotgun
I honestly think it's ridiculous how strong shotguns are now. They we're inconsistent before and it was frustrating tagging someone 2 m in front of you who was in dead center of the cross hair without killing, sure. But then you could just make the cross hair represent the true spread area, have the spread consistent but increase it a little bit and also not increase the damage over distance. Of course that's not realistic, if it was the spread would be even smaller and you could kill someone on 30 m easily. No one would play anything else than shotguns anymore.... Now I'm afraid of the compounds on the old maps which already were hard to get in, but now it's going to be a nightmare.... But: cryteck seems very responsive lately, so I hope for some adjustments....
I do believe they plan to rework the compounds on older maps a little as they optimise them for the new engine. That’s why it’ll be a while until the old maps are back. I could be wrong though.
