Imani Kalongolela Habari yako. You have found Jesus who "according" to the gospel of John cried on the cross " Eli Eli lema sebachani " My God My God why have You forsaken me. That doesn't sound like the words of one who is supposed to be sacrificed for the original sin and for all other sins. It clearly indicates that our Jesus was not crucified or killed but God raised him up as is mentioned in the Quran. God did not allow such a cursed and degrading thing to happen to his beloved Messenger and Prophet. Because He is All-Merciful, he forgave Adam and Eve for the Sin after they regretted and repented because His Justice is Complete and Perfect. He does not make anyone responsible for the sins of others unless you lead others astray then, you will carry your load and the loads of those whom you lead astray. My dear, christianity was formed by Paul who was against the apostles who believed in God Almighty and Jesus who was His prophet and messenger as he clearly said that he was sent to the lost sheep of Israel and not the gentiles and he did not come to change the laws of Moses but to bring back the Jews to spirituality since they had become materialistic in all their ways. His miraculous birth and the miracles that God gave him was to prove this. I would also like to point out that John:1 was not in the original.scripture. This is the backbone and the base of modern day christianity and when the base is fragile the building will collapse. And it has. This was discovered by christian scholars in 1952 after studying the old manuscripts and that it was an addition by a scribe and they dropped it out of the revised standard edition ( the first print ) and returned it to the following edition since this would cause the building to collapse. Your four gospels " according " to Matthew, Mark Luke and John. were not written by the apostles who were the only witnesses and they were selected from among more than 1000 gospels and Arias and his followers who were true Unitarians were banished and persecuted because they believed that Jesus was the beloved Prophet and Messenger of God. There is proof that Jesus Existed - The Quran is proof enough that Jesus existed as one of the Greatest Prophets and Messengers of Almighty God. You have ears but you do not hear. You have eyes but you do not see.
@@faezbokair3162 Qur'an 4:157 We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” But they neither killed nor crucified him-it was only made to appear so.1 Even those who argue for this ˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever-only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him. 1st: The early Jews are religious people, they wouldn't kill him if they know and believe that he is a messenger of God and yet your Qur'an said that they did it and are proud about it. 2nd: So your Qur'an says that it was made to appear to them, therefore it said that Allah deceived that early Christians about the death and resurrection and many people believe it and they are going to hell because of what he has done? 3rd: The people who wrote this news are actual witnesses who saw the incident and yet you choose to believe a certain self-proclaimed witness from 600 years later. 4th: Christianity rises because the earliest Christians are willing to die preaching about Jesus while Islam rises because Muhammad killed those who don't submit. See the difference? One is because of love and the other one is because of terror. 5th: the death and resurrection of Jesus can be proved outside the bible while all your assumptions are only based on Qur'an, so if Qur'an is from a false prophet, then you are believing in a lie your whole life. Afterall, Muhammad is a very questionable figure base on history.
@@Szechaun_Don I know your question. I had the same question a year back, why God didn't heal him, not like a random person away from the situation, but I literally cried a lot for the young life lost early, and all. As nabeel is saying in this video, I realized the question itself is wrong. God knew that this young doctor had a very little time on earth and he has speeded up every good thing in his life to happen, Conversion to be a Christian, not a normal Christian a true Christian with lots of knowledge and strong believer and all. There are many people in Bible who died or rather who were murderd in their young age like Stephen. And none other than Jesus was murdered at an young age probably at the age of nabeel. GOD didn't stop the crucifixion not because he is not able, just BECAUSE GOD CARES ABOUT HOW WE LIVED OUR LIFE RATHER THAN HOW WE DIED. So don't worry dear he will be a young energetic and God's favourite angel for ever when christ comes. Dont loose your hope. God's plan is beyond our dimension.
Well, I believe your comparison is unjust. Comparing fiction (Batman) to non-fiction (life of Jesus) is like comparing Apples to Oranges. But I will play along. (Also, I am assuming you don't think Jesus existed). In the context of the verse Matthew 22:21, the Pharisees are asking if it's right to pay taxes to Caesar (they were testing Jesus [Matthew 22:16-17]). If Jesus never existed, why would the Pharisees go and test the non-existent Jesus? As a matter of fact, their reasoning behind testing Jesus was to catch him off guard and call him out and kill him so he wouldn't gain control over all of Israel. Why would the Pharisees feel so threatened by Jesus if he never existed?
@thePiercingTruth Tiberius Caesar Did really exist by history and by facts during his reign between 15 to 37 AD as the emperor of Rome. In fact there is an actual coin in museum where Ceasar head and name engraved on it.Don't confuse between facts and fiction. eh.
This "evidence" is simply discussions of what the cult of Christianity believedat the time and what Christians were. It is not evidence of a historical Jesus.
Lúzia A Morta, the fact that people believed in someone and worshiped someone as a god is not proof that the person was a god, there have been thousands of different people throughout history that were worshiped as gods, but obviously they were not gods, to any Christians reading this comment I ask the question: why do you not believe what Islam teaches? Historians agree that the prophet dude(forgot his name) that founded Islam really existed, in fact there are significantly more historian that believe the profit dude existed, than historians that believe Jesus really existed. why is that not enough proof that Islam is true?
Lúzia A Morta, “ I don’t believe the Quran because I believe in Jesus” , I am not, nor have ever been a Muslim, so I do not know exactly what Islam teaches but I am pretty sure that they believe Jesus existed, they just do not think he was the Messiah or the son of god, also if you believe in Islam, then you would not believe that Jesus had prophesied everything that needed to be prophesied, also if Jesus had prophesied every thing and there was no reason for new prophecy, then why did god inspire someone(I think it was suppose to be one of the Johns that got inspired, but it might have been Peter) to write the book of Revelations, which is an entire book full of prophecies of what would happen in the future? Also when you respond to comments please respond with just 1 big comment and not 3 small ones. response to your 2nd comment: No I do not have proof that certain kings, Japanese empowers, or Pharos were not gods, but I strongly believe they were not gods for the same reasons that I do not believe Jesus was the son of god, or did miracles, which is the fact that there is not any actual proof.

Athiest: There is zero evidence that jesus existed.. just admit that the idea of jesus existing is something to HATE and you dont want to there to be evidence.. so you deny EVERYTHING
Justin Caleb nothing mentioned here is evidence. Writing that someone was worahipped as a god is not proof they existed. Otherwise you would have to believe in zeus, thor, and every other god in history. None of the bible writers were eyewitnesses either. All the "evidence" is just heresay. Thats not evidence
Justin Caleb but there's no reason to hate the idea. Even if you proved that a man named jesus existed, was worshipped, and crucified, it still would not prove that he was god. It would accomplish very little for you. Which makes it that much funnier that your "evidence" is so thin
Him being God is a completely different story, Im talking about ignorant people who doubt he even existed, as an historical figure. With your logic Millions of humans didnt exist because we cant prove that an individual human from 3000 years ago existed. Besides i was quoting this ua-cam.com/video/ksvCMb24MF0/v-deo.html the other guy thinks that saying "he doesnt exist" some how proves it By definition, science cant never disprove God or anything else really.. Athiest can only use "no evidence there for it must not exist" or more like they dont want God to exist.
Justin Caleb, I think your first comment is spot on. Theist: Jesus really did exist and heres the evidence (produces none) Atheist: There is no evidence that jesus existed. BTW did you know we have a definition for the term exist. Your god doesn't match the definition.
170221dn lol my comment is to show that regardless of what you say or show atheist will still deny it because the truth is, they would rather it not be true..
Jesus Himself gives the greatest evidence outside of the Bible: John 10:37-38 "Don't believe Me, unless I do the works of My Father. But, if I do them, though you don't believe Me, believe the works - the miracles - so that you may know that the Father and I are one." What's he saying? You don't have to believe anything I say, unless there are miracles from God that validates my message. The modern church expects that the world will flock to Jesus because we say we have good theology, or proof from historical data. If we want to represent Jesus well, we need to follow in His footsteps. If the Father doesn't validate our message, maybe we aren't sharing the same message, and people have reason not to believe it.
BBALLISBEST, if you watch the video, you will hear the man say that it is agreed upon by historians that the existence and crucifixion of Jesus Christ by Pontius Pilate is a distinct certainty. In other words, no serious historian questions it. They are not just using the Bible to prove itself, there are several non-biblical sources that were not written by Christians at all that lend credence to what the Bible says as a historically accurate text. There is actually a lot more evidence to support the Jesus Bible stories than you think. Who told you that no one has any evidence to support the Jesus Bible stories? That statement could not be more wrong. For the longest time, people thought that not even Pontius Pilate existed. That is, until the "Pilate stone" was uncovered. The Pilate Stone was dated by historians to have come from the era of Jesus, and bears the inscription of Pilates name. This is evidence literally engraved in stone and has been deemed authentic. There is not much if any evidence or mention outside of the Bible for the existence of Pilate himself. If it were not for the Bible, we probably never would have heard of Pilate. The fact that we uncovered evidence for his existence literally engraved in stone proves the Bible is historically accurate. The Bible has even been used as a road map to the location of cities buried in the desert that we might otherwise have never been found. Through archeology and digging those places up once again proves the Bible historically accurate. These are facts that you could easily find out for yourself if you did the research. Actually, a lot of the books in the Bible were written by the people who were actually there, so even if they WERE written 40-70 years after the fact, it doesn't make them any less accurate. Take for instance the book of Galatians. It is well known that the book of Galatians was written by the apostle Paul, serious historians do not dispute this. Paul was there. Paul was actually known as Saul of Tarsus before he became a Christian. Saul of Tarsus made a habit of persecuting Christians, murdering Christians as well as throwing them into prison, until Saul met Jesus after he had been crucified and resurrected. This indeed had a very dramatic effect on Saul and from that day forward, he was a self-proclaimed believer in Christ. There ARE non-biblical sources that acknowledge Jesus as a miracle worker, such as the Talmud. However, the Talmud rather calls Jesus a "wizard" and a "magician", and cites the source of his power as from the devil and not from God. There are other non-biblical sources that cite Jesus as a doer of great works. Again, a little bit of research can go a long way.
BBALLISBEST, what's more of a myth? That the universe actually has a creator and is a product of His spirit, OR that the universe created itself at random from absolutely nothing? For me, it actually takes less faith to believe in God than to believe in the miracle of the universe creating itself and life itself from absolutely NOTHING. In order to be an Atheist, you actually have to believe in miracles, and that miracle is the universe from nothing. I don't have enough faith to believe in nothing, and I don't believe in miracles. The miracles in the Bible, I don't consider those miracles. I consider those acts of God that are possible through His grace and can easily be expected. For someone who can create an object like a star, our sun, which puts out more energy per second than all of the energy created by mankind throughout our entire history, and then to create a virtually endless ocean of them, and who can create life on the most microscopic and macroscopic scale, whose divine work extends beyond the limits of our ability to comprehend, for someone who can do all of that.......dare I say that the miracles of Jesus are mere childs play. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God sends children to Hell. By your logic, it seems like you are willing to believe that all aborted babies go to Hell, which again, nowhere in the Bible does it say that children go to Hell. You want to sit there are say that mass murderers get to go to heaven. Jesus died for all of mankind to have the opportunity to repent and be forgiven. When Jesus was hanging on the cross, he looked down at those who condemned Him and prayed, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." Yes, even when Jesus was dying, he spoke of redemption. Let me ask you this, what kind of world do you want to live in? Because one of the last commandments that Jesus gave to His followers was "Love one another as I have loved you." Now, for a statement like that to come from someone like Jesus after doing what He did is BOLD and POWERFUL. Jesus also once said that the greatest love a man can have is that of a man who lays down his life for his friends. Jesus didn't just lay down His life for His friends, He laid down His life for His enemies as well. IMAGINE what the world would be like if we, as people, actually LOVED one another the way that Jesus told us to. It doesn't take a genius to see that 99% of the worlds problems would be solved with one little 4 letter word........LOVE. Now, you don't have to believe in God or Jesus Christ to see the wisdom simply in loving one another, but I ask you how wise it is to reject the one man who demonstrated the kind of love that actually CAN save the world from itself.
Atheists are very interesting to me. I do not understand why they spend so much energy argueing about Jesus. I do not believe in unicorns but do not spend my days finding people who do so I can convince them of my lack of belief. Usually when someone gets angry or insults others beliefs its because they are afraid they may be wrong. Troll on little trolls Jesus still loves you
Because Christians vote. When you believe in things that can't be proved, it skews your worldview. That reflects on your vote. That is why Christians still get behind Trump even though he is a horrible person who cheated on his wife with a pornstar.
Why do atheists do so much reading and research about Jesus, is because we want to understand how a man or a myth became the Christian Jesus. It is an interesting question that I'd like to know and learn about. And, we are (often) former Christians who realized that Christianity is bunk, so we had to learn why we were seduced. That's why.
Jerry Langlois wrong. Atheist love to push their ideas . They don't seek the truth . They even deny historical facts of Bible just to push their theory

one of the most famous archaeologists of the last century was Sir William Ramsay, who disputed the accuracy of events recorded by Luke in the book of Acts. Ramsay believed those events to be little more than second-century, fictitious accounts. Yet after years of (literally!) digging through the evidence in Asia Minor, Ramsay concluded that Luke was an exemplary historian. In the decades since Ramsay, and other scholars have suggested that Luke’s historical background of New Testament times is among the best ever produced. One way to prove that the Bible is inspired would be to show that all the checkable facts in it are correct. Another way to prove its inspiration would be to show that the predictions it makes regarding future events are correct. As it turns out, one of the most impressive internal proofs of the Bible’s inspiration is its predictive prophecy. In fact, the Bible prophecy - completely foretold to the minutest detail and fulfilled with the greatest precision - has confounded critics for generations. The Bible contains numerous prophecies about the individuals, nations, critics, and even the promised Messiah. In order for a prophecy to be valid. It must meet certain criteria. • First, it must be a specific, detailed statement - not something that is vague or general in nature. • Second, there must be enough time between the prophetic statement and its fulfillment so that there is no chance whatsoever of the prophet having the ability to influence the outcome. • Third, the prophecy must be stated in clear, understandable terms. • Fourth, the prophecy must not have historical overtones. In other words, true prophecy should not be based on past (or current) societal or economic conditions. • Fifth, a clear, understandable, exact prophecy must have a clear, understandable, exact fulfillment. It is not enough to suggest that a certain event came true with a “high degree of probability.” The fulfillment must be unmistakable and must match the prophecy in every detail. Two questions come to mind: (1) Does the Bible contain predictive prophecy: and (2) if it does, can the predictive prophecy be proven true? The answer to both questions is, “Yes!” The Bible’s prophecy fits the criteria perfectly - each and every time.
The writings of Flavius Josephus, a Romano-Jewish scholar from the first century, are also very insightful concerning historical things about Christ. That's not all his writings are about, but there's some in there. I highly recommend anyone to get his complete works. Very interesting. Halley's Bible handbook (probably my favorite book outside of the Bible) is also very good. It has commentary on the Bible, but it has historical matters near the end of the book.
Do you really want people to wade through the 36 odd volumes written by Flavius Josephus before finally coming upon the two flagrantly forged paragraphs in which the forger makes reference to Jesus? Even the most fundamentalist Christian scholar acknowledges this short passage to be a forgery.
I think she meant historical accounts from when he was alive. Actual records from that time. I imagine a person like that would have some attention and there for press of some kind.
It makes no sense to expect to find records about Jesus while he was alive or crucified, nobody knew much about him, he was just another prisoner sentenced to die like many other before and after him. The record couldn't come unless several years later thanks to his followers and historians wanting to write the story from them.
I’m not religious, but open to the idea that there was a man called Jesus who walked the earth and had a big influence on people. BUT can someone say with certainty that jesus walked the earth without any physical evidence? Cleopatras body is in the british museum and she lived before jesus.
JESUS is real and every person will know that once they become born again and God gives them a new heart and indwelling holy spirit. JESUS save me and I am forever grateful to him. Sin does not have dominant over my life anymore and it's all because of the precious blood of Christ. Praise God Almighty and the son Jesus Christ forever..
You're probably right. There probably was a bloke around that time called Jesus. But he wasn't Christ. Know why? Because Christ is a pagan term. Look it up and learn something your Abrahamic faith clearly refuses to teach you.
The 8 Hostile Non-Biblical Pagan Accounts Regarding Jesus: 1. From Thallus (52 AD), we can conclude that Jesus lived, He was crucified, and there was an earthquake and darkness at the point of His crucifixion. 2. Tacitus (56-120AD): In his “Annals’ of 116AD, he describes Emperor Nero’s response to the great fire in Rome and Nero’s claim that the Christians were to blame… Tacitus confirms several historical elements of the Biblical narrative: Jesus lived in Judea, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and had followers who were persecuted for their faith in Christ. 3. Mara Bar-Serapion (70AD): Sometime after 70AD, a Syrian philosopher named Mara Bar-Serapion, writing to encourage his son, compared the life and persecution of Jesus with that of other philosophers who were persecuted for their ideas. The fact Jesus is known to be a real person with this kind of influence is important. From Mara’s account, we get: He was a wise and influential man who died for His beliefs. The Jewish leadership was somehow responsible for Jesus’ death. Jesus’ followers adopted His beliefs and lived their lives accordingly. 4. From Phlegon (80-140AD), we can add: Jesus had the ability to accurately predict the future, was crucified under the reign of Tiberius Caesar and demonstrated His wounds after he was resurrected. 5. Pliny the Younger (61-113AD) In ” a letter to the Roman emperor Trajan, describes the lifestyles of early Christians”, we can add: the first Christians believed Jesus was GOD, the first Christians upheld a high moral code, and these early followers met regularly to worship Jesus. 6. Suetonius (69-140AD) Suetonius was a Roman historian and annalist of the Imperial House under the Emperor Hadrian. From Suetonius: From this account, we know Jesus had an immediate impact on His followers: They were committed to their belief Jesus was God and withstood the torment and punishment of the Roman Empire. Jesus had a curious and immediate impact on His followers, empowering them to die courageously for what they knew to be true. 7. Lucian of Samosata: (115-200 A.D.) Lucian was a Greek satirist who spoke sarcastically of Christ and Christians, but in the process, he did affirm they were real people and never referred to them as fictional characters. From his description of Jesus, we get: He taught about repentance and about the family of God. These teachings were quickly adopted by Jesus’ followers and exhibited to the world around them. 8. Celsus (175AD) Celsus was quite antagonistic to the claims of the Gospels, but in his criticism he unknowingly affirmed and reinforced the Biblical authors and their content. His writing is extensive and he alludes to 80 different Biblical quotes, confirming their early appearance in history. In addition, he admits the miracles of Jesus were generally believed in the early 2nd century. Celsus confirms several claims: Jesus had an earthly father who was a carpenter, possessed unusual magical powers and claimed to be God. The 3 Hostile Non-Biblical Jewish Accounts Regarding Jesus: 1. Josephus (37-101AD) In more detail than any other non-biblical historian, Josephus writes about Jesus in his “the Antiquities of the Jews” in 93AD. Josephus was born just four years after the crucifixion. He was a consultant for Jewish rabbis at an early age, became a Galilean military commander by the age of sixteen, and he was an eyewitness to much of what he recorded in the first century A.D. Under the rule of Roman emperor Vespasian, Josephus was allowed to write a history of the Jews. This history includes three passages about Christians, one in which he describes the death of John the Baptist, one in which he mentions the execution of James (and describes him as the brother of Jesus the Christ), and a final passage which describes Jesus as a wise man and the messiah. From Josephus, we can conclude: Jesus lived in Palestine, was a wise man and a teacher, worked amazing deeds, was accused by the Jews, crucified under Pilate and had followers called Christians. 2. Jewish Talmud (400-700AD) While the earliest Talmudic writings of Jewish Rabbis appear in the 5th century, the tradition of these Rabbinic authors indicates they are faithfully transmitting teachings from the early “Tannaitic” period of the 1st Century BC to the 2nd Century AD. From several passages in the Jewish Talmud mentioning Jesus by name, we can conclude: Jesus had magical powers, led the Jews away from their beliefs, had disciples who were martyred for their faith (one of whom was named Matthai), and was executed on the day before the Passover. 3. The Toledot Yeshu (1000AD) The Toledot Yeshu is a medieval Jewish retelling of the life of Jesus. It is completely anti-Christian, to be sure. There are many versions of these ‘retellings’, and as part of the transmitted oral and written tradition of the Jews, we can presume their original place in antiquity, dating back to the time of Jesus’ first appearance as an influential leader who was drawing Jews away from their faith in the Law. The Toledot Yeshu contains a determined effort to explain away the miracles of Jesus and to deny the virgin birth. In some places, the text is quite vicious, but it does confirm many elements of the New Testament writings. The passages in the Toledot Yehsu confirm the following: Jesus claimed to be the Messiah, healed the lame, said Isaiah foretold of His life, was worshipped as God, arrested by the Jews, beaten with rods, given vinegar to drink, wore a crown of thorns, rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, was betrayed by a man named Judah Iskarioto, and had followers who claimed He was resurrected and ascended, leaving an empty tomb. Non-Biblical History Sources for Jesus: 1. Clement of Rome 2. Ignatius 3. Justin Martyr 4. Josephus Flavius 5. Cornelius Tacitus 6. Lucian 7. Mesa Bar Serapion 8. Thallus 9. Q 10. Pre-Mark Passion Narrative 11. Talmud Dr. Bart Ehrman, Book 'Did Jesus Exist?' page 230, 2012: "Anyone who thinks that Jesus was modeled on such deities needs to cite some evidence that Jews in Palestine at the alleged time of Jesus' life were influenced by anyone who held such views, any evidence at all." While studied with profit against the background of the Jewish resurrection belief, the faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus retains its unique character in the history of religions." Dr. Bart Ehrman, Book 'Did Jesus Exist' 2012: "the alleged parallels between Jesus and the pagan gods in most instances reside in modern imagination: we don't have accounts of others who were born to any virgin mother, died as an atonement for sin and were raised from the dead." Dr. Bart Ehrman, Lecture 'Freedom from religion foundation' 2014: "there is no scholar in any college or university in the western world who teaches classics, ancient history, new testament, early christianity, any related field who doubts that Jesus existed." Dr. Graeme Clarke, Book 'Facts and Fiction of Easter. Brisbane Times' 2008: "Frankly, i know of no non-biblical ancient historian or biblical historian who would have a twinge of a doubt about the existence of a Jesus Christ." Ed Perish Sanders, Book 'The Historical Figure of Jesus' 1993: "That Jesus' followers, and later Paul, had resurrection experiences is, in my judgment, a fact. what was the reality that gave rise to those experiences i do not know." Historian Mike Licona, David Wood's Interview 'Islam VS. The Historical Jesus' 2014: "All historian scholars, whether jews, romans, aitheists or agnostics, believe in the existence of Jesus as an historical fact." No contemporary first hand evidence. No Roman records. Seems unusual to me if Jesus was really performing all the miracles and making making such an impact as you subscribe to him.
I'm sorry, did I miss something? Are you implying that you have all the records created by all officials from the first century? Please describe this library of remarkable documents. Show us all the recordings created by Pilate's court recorder. Finding out his name would be handy as well. While you are at it, see if you can bring out Herod's documents as well. If what you claim is true then you should able to go through every document written around the time of christ and show us that he never entered the presence of either Pilate or Herod. But that is impossible and you know it. We have no documents from that area at all. You cannot claim that nothing was written about Jesus because you do not have any collection of any documents. We don't even have the complete records of the historians of whom we are familiar. And many of the historians of the time had no interest in recording the goings on in a small insignificant province when they had the glories of the Roman empire to document. Don't forget that Jesus was never a political figure. He established no government, led no revolt, fought with no one and died as a criminal. The most controversial political comment he made was "give unto caesar what is caesar and unto God what is God's" Definitely not very revolutionary by any stretch of the imagination. Even if his expolits were recorded it would not be of interest to the wider Roman empire. His impact came after he died and rose again. It was then that the truth of all that he said struck home with his followers but by then he was no longer there to be recorded by local writers. As the saying goes "the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence"

Paul Rock , I see your point i used those sources also . But they are not eyewitness to the resurrection , they were not even there when Jesus lived . 2000 yrs is hard to find , but we do find it in Egyptian history , and further back in Surmerian how they lived and who were kings during certain reigns . Don't forget we lived in the western christian world . The consensus are going to be pro-Christian . It won't work in Muslim and other non-christian countries . I cannot proved my family existed 200 yrs. ago . But if one was born of a virgin , walk on water , feed 5000 people with a small bite , rose from the dead . I think we would have more direct evidence . Instead of stories written decades after the fact .
People who are writing about what Christians believe aren't writing about what happened. You would easily be able to find multiple sources of evidence proving your family exists, even your dead relatives. Why can't you for Jesus?
@James Brice , slow down James . What did the Talmud say ? Because their were other people call Jesus ; what other writings as you say ? Remember now what I'm questioning is " what contemporary eyewitness do we have about Jesus "?

Mohamed Ismail there are many different Christian religions based on the many different views of the Bible. For example, a Catholic would believe that Jesus made Peter the first Pope when he called him Cephas meaning rock, so they would stress that story by including the full thing. Another religion like Greek Orthodox would disagree with that so they would cut some of that story out of their Bible or reword its original translation to fit their religion. Also some religions believe in more scriptures while others believe in less. It’s hard because the Bible is multiple pieces of writing, not just one book by one person. This increases its validity while also making it difficult to make one book.
Mohamed Ismail the Bible is a mix of both actually. It contains the Word of God, the views of God by humans, the affects on the Earth because of God, and even fake stories known as didactic fiction that are used to teach us valuable lessons about God.

Almost all historians, even atheist historians, agree that Jesus existed. It’s the argument if he was the son of God or not. Two of the most important sources for the Julius Cesar’s life, Suetonius and Plutarch, write in the early second century. That’s more than 100 years after the time of Caesar. The next writing is 900 years after.
Ehm, there are coins with Caesars head on it. There are countries throughout europe and Africa that he visitied and where records show he was actually there. We have busts of Caesars head.
The problem with your argument is this... 1. The Bible, although was made up of different books, all had to pass through the hands of Constantine who we all know had the canons manipulated. 2. The other sources are not from the time of Jesus. They are from many many years later. Pliny the Younger was born in 61 AD and died 131 AD. I don't need to try anything. Facts are Facts. Even Jewish rabbis point out that Jesus Christ existed. Jesus Christ severely criticized the Pharisees and the scribes for obeying Traditions of the Elders which nullified the word of God (Matthew 15, Mark 7). Traditions of the Elders later came to be known as Talmud. Rabbi Michael Rodkinson - "The Talmud, then, is the written form of that which, in the time of Jesus, was called the Traditions of the Elders, and to which he makes frequent allusions" (Source - The History of the Talmud, Vol. II, page 70, Chapter IX).
@@Michaelvarez The Bible is a fictional book. You need to understand that the Earth is not created 6000 years ago as the Bible says we now know the earth is more like 85 billion years old. I think you should burn your Fictional Bible.
No offense, this question presupposes that you need evidence outside of the Bible to validate that Jesus exists. The Bible is not only a collection of 66 books, but it is also God-breathed and sufficient for all believers (2 Timothy 3:16-17). When we try to find books or "evidences" outside of scripture to validate the truth of scripture, we're basically saying scripture isn't enough to speak about Christ. Well, if it isn't enough to speak about Christ, how are we going to assert the gospel since it comes from the Bible? Then we have to go outside the Bible to "prove" His death, burial, and resurrection. It's never ending. Even Christ went to the scriptures to reveal who He was to the disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:25-32).
Eric Smith nobody that isn't a christian is going to accept that your book ia perfect and can't be questioned. It will never happen. So if you want to prove anything to anyone, you're going to need other sources. Besides, how can the bible be perfect when it contradicts itself over 100 times?
Corey, I expect that someone that isn't a Christian to reject the Bible because you reject the supernatural author. Jesus makes clear the unsaved hate Him, God the Father, and Christians in John 15:18-23. As for your criteria about proving anything without sources, are you consistent in your criteria with other written documents? Did you need to find other written documents to back up any assertion or teachings you agree with in one particular document to "prove" it to someone else or did you just go with it? By that criteria, you need to back up every written thing you ever wrote that has been written. It's like a girl having a crush on you handing you a letter in her handwriting signed by you telling you she likes you. Would you say, "I know you wrote it and signed it, but do you have other documents to back up the assertion in your letter." As for the Bible contradicting itself 100 times; this is not true just because you assert it. I suppose you read the whole Bible and were able to make that determination or did you just repeat what you heard others say. And since you have your mind made up, why would I bother trying to "prove" anything to you? The Bible never tells Christians to "prove" God or His Word, but proclaim it. That is why the message of the gospel is so important to sinners. What is the gospel? The word gospel means “good news,” but to understand the depths of the good news, we must understand the bad news first. We must understand that every human being are born sinners. What is sin? Sin is defined as breaking the absolute moral laws of God and coming short of His glory according to 1 John 3:4 and Romans 3:23. What is the absolute moral law of God? They can be summed up in the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17) and God’s measurement of perfection is so absolute that if you break one law, you are guilty of breaking them all (James 2:10). Sin isn’t just what you do (a verb), it is who you are (a noun). Every thought, word, and deed of mankind is against God; no one seeks, understands, or fears God at all (Romans 3:10-18). Mankind has inherited this sin nature from the first humans God made, Adam and Eve (Genesis 3, Romans 5:12) because they disobeyed Him. Because we’re sinners by birth, once we die, we must stand before God and give an account to Him as our Creator for breaking His laws. God is holy, righteous, infinite, eternal, self-existent, all powerful, all knowing, as well as our lawgiver and judge (the Bible reveals this throughout scripture), therefore, He must rightly judge His creation for his actions. Everyone will be found guilty according to God’s absolute standards and must be sentenced accordingly; we’ve violated an absolute, eternal God and His punishment will be absolute and eternal. He must punish sinful man to the lake of Fire according to Revelation 20:11-15. You see, man’s only payment for their sin is death, yet there is a way to eternal life (Romans 6:23). How? This is the good news; God has provided Himself as a pardon for sinful man by coming in the flesh as Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God the Son and the Son of God, the second person of the Godhead (the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit). The sinless Son of God was crucified brutally, died on a cross, and rose again to defeat death, to illustrate that He is God, and to offer redemption from sins. Redemption is being bought back to a relationship with God. God does this out of love and if we trust and confess that Jesus died and rose again, we will be saved from the penalty of our sins and forgiven (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10). How do we believe this? We repent of our sins, which means to have a change of mind about our sins through a godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10), which leads to trust in Jesus Christ. This is known as saving faith. Not wishful thinking or faith by convincing ourselves, but a revelation in our hearts that supernaturally leads to faith in who Jesus is and what Jesus did. This is known as being born again spiritually by God. God will pardon your sins, grant you eternal life in the next life, and a changed heart to live for Him. This is the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ; He died and rose again to offer the pardon we can’t pay in our own works or righteousness. In fact, Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father and heaven (John 14:6), therefore, the only way to forgiveness and eternal life is by Him. This is the good news being offered today and to reject it means you stand before God when you die, relying on your own righteousness, and you will be found guilty. Yet if you repent and trust Jesus Christ today; you will be saved from your sins. Trust Him today for today is the day of salvation.
Eric Smith wow, you completely missed the point. Good job typing a paragraph for nothing though. No, the contradictions are there. Easy to find, too. The homo sapiens (us) have been around for roughly 200000 years and God, the creator of everything decides to come down to Earth in the form of a human to revise his previous set of laws (old testament) 2000 years ago. Most honest historians would say there are no accounts or eye witness recordings of Jesus' existence. But many Christians have made claim that there were credible historical accounts and that many accounts were destroyed. I would say God choose the wrong time to show himself as the Son 2000 years ago. Instead he should have sent Jesus now, 2019, where we have big brother video camaras that can capture and record every action and miracle and every word he says and can be covered by every news network in the world. Fred V There is a letter from a Roman historían called Tacitus, “Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome..” that Tacitus reports Christians derived their name from a historical person called Christus (from the Latin), or Christ. He is said to have "suffered the extreme penalty," obviously alluding to the Roman method of execution known as crucifixion. Josephus, a first century historian had a couple of writings, “About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he ... wrought surprising feats.... He was the Christ. When Pilate ...condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared ... restored to life.... And the tribe of Christians ... has ... not disappeared.” The Babylonian Talmud, “a collection of Jewish rabbinical writings; On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald ... cried, "He is going forth to be stoned because he has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy.” Yeshua is how Jesus is pronounced in Hebrew. Lucian of Samosata, was a second century Greek satirist. “The Christians ... worship a man to this day - the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account.... It was impressed on them by their original lawgiver that they are all brothers, from the moment that they are converted, and deny the gods of Greece, and worship the crucified sage, and live after his laws.”

I would think Jesus Christ, the son of God, the most important, influential person who ever lived would have a plethora of evidence, when actually the opposite is true: Jesus, a literate, educated teacher ( a rabbi by many scholars estimation ) never wrote one word. He is nowhere in the historical record. There is not one eyewitness to his existence. Everything written about him is hearsay by people who never knew him. There are no contemporaneous accounts of him in the Bible ( the gospels are only ATTRIBUTED to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John ) and are written after the fact. There are no reliable accounts of him outside the Bible from the Romans ( the ones who executed him -- they kept meticulous records on everything else ) nor the Jews, nobody... The same holds true for the biggest supernatural, cosmological event in history : when the Bible says, the instant Jesus died on the cross, the sky darkened, the earth shook and the dead rose from their graves and walked around... not one person wrote one word about it.
Good grief. "He never wrote one word" because the people he wanted to reach COULD NOT READ. Reading and writing was the job of the scribes and they belonged to the upper class who had no love for Jesus nor for any writings he may have produced. We know that Jesus death was recorded because Tacitus referred to such records in order to accurately describe who the Christians were. I apologize on behalf of the Roman empire that they did not have the foresight or capability to protect all their records over thousands of years of rot and deterioration to be able to present them to you for your convenience. I apologize for the pharisees that they were so short sighted that they could not see past their own arrogance and pride in order to properly record Jesus as the son of god instead of as a sorcerer in the Talmud. However, I want to thank the authors of the four gospels who decided it would be wise to write down a history of Jesus Christ while there were still eye witnesses available to verify the accounts as they were written. Just as any credible historical account is executed. Therefore, they are the historical accounts, recording eye witnessed events, verified by said eye witnesses and corroborated by others who witnessed saId events. They are highly reliable, highly regarded and widely disseminated accounts which have never been discouinted as mere myths. All this was done within a life time of Christ's death, and of those documents we have some that have survived to this day. In other words we have to actual original documents that were actually written within the lifetime of the eyewitnesses of the events to which those documents refer. THIS CANNOT BE SAID ABOUT ANYONE ELSE FROM THAT TIME. If that does not provide a compelling case for the existence of Jesus Christ then no other historical person can be accepted to have lived either, including the Caesars of the time. The only documents available recording the events of their reigns are copies of copies of the original written centruires later.

And yet the gospels were written and verified by people who actually saw and heard what Jesus did. Which do you think should be considered more reliable: something written 500 years after the fact or something verified by eye witnesses? And be honest about it.
@@1961casey I always get a kick out of you believers who try to defend the indefensible. You try any apologetic, any assumption, any twisted rationalization, any excuse you can pull out of your butt... and where do you end up ? Where you started -- trying to swim in that same pool of quick sand.
@@jerrylanglois7892 And yet when we apply your logic to any other historical character we end up with nothing. You are obviously not a historian nor have you even done a cursory search on historical standards which, if you had, would have shown you the unique record we have of Jesus Christ. The record is compelling enough that no serious historical scholar can dare to say the Jesus was a myth. No contemporaneous eye witness, or any other historian, friendly or otherwise has ever said that he was a myth. And note that I am not referring to 'believers' but to honest scholars who value truth above religious fervor. To claim that Jesus Christ was just a myth requires a conscious decision to ignore the evidence.
You don't need to look outside the bible for proof that Jesus Christ existed, everything you need to know is in the Holy Bible, the best selling book of all time
+Roger Farragher Evolution is a claim. There is practically no evidence to support it, it is just another "God substitute" so you Atheists can think that there will be no punishment for what you are doing. Most of the stuff in the Bible is actually scientifically correct, for example, the bible mentions the Earth being "held by nothing", which it is, and it mentions the light causing another "God substitute" the Big Bang, because God said "Let there be light" and there was light and only light in the first stage of the universe, that is a scientific FACT discovered by an Atheist scientist. I could go on, but the prophecy said that there would be people like you. Even if Jesus comes down and revives the dead in front of you, you still wouldn't believe.
D_fend R sorry, bud... evolution is a fact backed w/ loads of evidence. the only problem is w/ those unwilling to accept the evidence for it. almost like the fake news epidemic we have now. regardless, its true whether you choose accept it it or not. its not contingent on your blessing.
Exsisted. We need to see jesus to believ he does. But we dont need to see god to believe he doesnt. Smh. Theres more evidence for jesus than Athiesm. Yall really have more faith than I do
How can they say Jesus when the letter j didn’t even exist at the time I believe is wrong to call the great man buy the wrong name there is no possible way to translate his name to Jesus?
I’m not one to comment on posts or get into debates, but Jesus had several names in the Bible. For example those who believed in him called him the “son of David” or “messiah” or “Christ”. Ultimately God is all powerful and he knows our hearts and minds better than we do ourselves. So even if Jesus isn’t his real name (which I believe it is) he would understand that we are meaning to speak to him and love him even if we use a name that isn’t his. It’s the intent of the heart not the word itself that interests God.
Cameron Magee not really but translations are incorrect the word Jesus didn’t exist untill the 16th century I believe in faith if you believe than it’s real to you but it’s not a debate no man named Jesus was ever crucified how can you believe there’s historical facts of a Jesus existing in the time period they claim so I just wonder who you believe the spirit inside your heart those names didn’t exist there is how many original copy’s of the Bible books and not one of those name are in it or able to translate to those names your using he was never called when he was alive I believe in god but it’s not possible to translate not a one to those names
Read people read for once read any of the translations it’s clear messiah does not mean son of god so even with incorrect translations messiah is a real profit but not the son of god unless the word messiah you or whoever told you messiah is a name for the son of god that’s not the translation It’s not a debate he had one name and I just wonder If people understand the man they call Jesus might care you think he has multiple names and to believe they all died the same day and they is record of it that’s completely just a lie but Not to mention he didn’t do everything the son of god will do if you read a white Or brown or black bible since those made up English words have been spread across the world it has brought the complete opposite of peace on earth more people have killed over these names and people who never excited untill the English language was created iam talking centuries after the stories and I believe the name god gave him is the one god gave him and it was only one name
Sabah Eternity there are thousands of eye witnesses of Harry Porter fighting voldemort too Thats plain stupid. If there were thousands of people who eye witnessed him how come nobody wrote about him? All the extra biblical sources (which are 3) were written 60-90 years After Jesus died by people who never met him. Its quite strange how no roman no follower not even Jesus himself left any documents from that time not even statues or anything. Buddha, who lived 600 years before Jesus has a ton of evidence
@@Didida8BP no because just like there is no evidence for the existence of harry potter outside of the books there is also no evidence for the existence of jesus outside of the bible while for historical persons usually you have many different documents and sources and if you want to claim that a person was divine then maybe the first step would be to prove that this person actually existed
850,000,000 people around the world are Atheist, Agnostic or Non-Religious. That's more than 1 out of 10 people, making up the 4th largest belief group. Statistics have shown that the more educated an individual, the less likely they are to be religious or believe in a god. 72% of the National Academy of Sciences members have 'personal disbelief in god' and another 20% claim 'doubt or agnosticism'. Less than 1% of the US prison population is 'atheist' vs. about 10% in the general population. The Divorce rate among atheists and agnostics is 21% vs. 30% for Jews, 27% for Born again Christians, and 24% for other Christians.
None of them are written during the first century. They were all written after first century which is at least 70 years after Christ death. They are not good evidence for Christ. The New Testament is written decades after Christ death by no first hand account eyewitnesses.
Chris, How do you know none of them are written during the first century? How do you know The New testament is written decades after Christ death by no first-hand account eyewitnesses? I have been discussing this with my son since he returned from College and we don't seem to agree on anything when it comes to this.
look it up where? Every place I look has a different story. There is no consistency or credibility. If people find information that backs their point of view then they consider it evidence, if they find information that conflicts with their point of view they call it propaganda.
A more challenging question would be, "Is there proof that Jesus never existed?" The Bible is actually chock full of historical facts and people that have "been proven" by historians, archaeologists, and geographers. The names of dozens of biblical cities named still exist today and the names of peoples mentioned historically appear in the Bible (Babylonians, Assyrians, Persians, Israelites, and on). Sennacherib, an Assyrian king named in the Bible (and at the correct time period, 705 BCE to 681 BCE) appears on unearthed cuneiform tablets from the same period. The magazine, Biblical Archaeology, has been published for decades correlating Scripture with archaeological findings. Several of the books within the Old Testament are referred to by academics as the "historical books." So are we to believe Sennacherib existed in the Bible but not Jesus? If Jesus didn't really exist, what triggered the first Christians to develop? Are we to believe that the Catholic Church developed in ancient Rome based on someone who never existed? Need historical proof of Jesus outside the Bible? It's called Christianity.
I don't believe Josephus, Tacitus, and The Jewish Talmud wrote about Paul Bunyan though, a lot of stories about Caesar and Alexander the Great, and even Evolution too.
_"I don't believe Josephus, Tacitus, and The Jewish Talmud wrote about Paul Bunyan though"_ - *Neither did they write about Jesus. They wrote about what Christians believed and claimed.*
_"Numerous historians and others both pro and con, wrote about Christ, Christians, and Christianity. None of this would have happened had there been no Jesus Christ to begin with."_ - *Numerous historians and others, wrote/write about Harry Potter, Hogwarts and Magic. None of this would have happened had there been no Harry Potter to begin with.* - *Your argument is illogical. People write about Jesus because Christians believe in Jesus and because the character appears in the bible. It is not evidence of actual existence.* _"Those who try to say that Jesus Christ never existed do as much for Atheism as Christians do for Christianity who try to say the world is between six and ten thousand years old."_ - *False, and for the record I don't say that Jesus never existed, I say that he hasn't been demonstrated to have ever existed.* _"The difference is, in the case of Atheists who say Christ never existed are a minority within a minority."_ - *That's false too. There is even a name for people who think Jesus was just a myth, mythicists.* _"Academics who want to maintain their credibility in the community of archeological and historical authorities won't sacrifice their reputations on such claims."_ - *I've never actually seen an academic archaeologist talking about Jesus as if he existed, they tend to just not bother talking about it at all. They will talk about places in biblical stories, but not Jesus... I wonder why.* _"Trying to defend an indefensible position by sheer stubborn denial of evidence just make themselves look ridiculous."_ - *So where is the evidence we supposedly deny? The closest anyone has come is pointing to the bible, or to people who didn't live at the right time and talk about what Christians believe... not about what is or was.* It amazes me that people, like you, will write something like this talking about evidence and what people believe without giving a shred of evidence. Your first premise is laughably wrong and could be used as evidence that any literary character existed, and the rest of it is just assertions and a half-hearted appeal to authority. Are you trying to convince me, or yourself?
_"I've been posting evidence and links to it for quite a while here and I don't recall hearing from you until now."_ - *You didn't "hear from me" at all. You sought me out in a post.* - *Also, why didn't you post any evidence this time either?* _"If you know the difference between someone like Julius Caesar and Harry the Jew Potter, then you ought to be able to tell the difference between Jesus Christ and Harry Potter."_ - *If you can't realize that I was just showing that your premise was pointless when I inserted Harry Potter in, then there is no reason to continue with you. Frankly, the statement about Harry Potter has exactly the same weight as when you said it about Jesus.* Wow... a quote mine and arguments from authority... woo... hoo... how will I ever counter any of that... lol See, the thing is, there is extra-biblical evidence for the other people you mention... but not for Jesus, it would seem due to your seeming inability to present any. In this post you decided to again claim to have evidence, and claim to have posted evidence elsewhere, but somehow forgot to post any here. Till someone demonstrates that Jesus existed, I will continue to not believe the claim that he existed.
Hey Jeffrey :) I don't think you understand what a Christian means when they say "faith". You don't have faith based on what you don't know you have faith based on what you DO know. For example, I have faith that my wife will not have an affair because she has shown to me her love and her commitment to the relationship. We don't have faith IN, we have faith "that". A very different distinction :D I pray you'll continue asking questions and seeking the truth!
Alex Benz Like saying I need faith to accept that my son is mine? Dude I don’t need faith when I’m sure I’m the father of my son. I know he’s my son..🤷🏾♂️

Here is a link to his intro video on his channel called: Expanding Truth ua-cam.com/video/-hMDyC02-3Y/v-deo.html
the bible is made up of 66 books. the bible is the claim.... not the proof for it. those who reference suetonious, tacitus, pliny or josephus... those have all been refuted time and time again. never mind that they post-date the life of jesus. easier to tell you happened well after the establishment has gained traction. and never mind that the people who are purportedly "witnesses" or give accounts of jesus are some of the most poor, uneducated people of the time. sheep-herders mostly. there is no corroborating evidence to suggest that they meet jesus. again, jesus arose from a time when story-telling was prevalent. if someone told you they met bigfoot, would you believe them? what if 20 people told you they met bigfoot, would that do it? that's not a pathway to truths or fact. it is however one avenue... but people lie. that's why evidence to support the claim is key. look at it this way... why don't we write books about newly formed gods today? im not talking about scientology or anything like that. im taking something substantial like celetial jesus, muhammad, vishnu, etc... its because we have a better grasp of universal understanding. those sorts of ideology are likely untrue and unsubstantiated. in 2016 you couldn't possibly walk into a courtroom and expect to prove an ideologue by purely referencing old scribes from a Babylonian era which fabled story-telling was prevalent and the norm.
nope... most history is inconclusive and unknown. also, and most importantly, history is shared and interpreted, not asserted. and I am not a historical scholar nor am I a historian, but I understand the job and title of a historian. most people have a flawed idea or misrepresentation of the title 'historian'. historians are not the arbiters of truth concerning history. they do not 'yay or nay' anything in history. that is not their job. they research and place things in their proper context. they do not tell you this happened or this didn't happen. and lastly, just as contrast... in 2016, we don't even have all the information concerning Abraham Lincoln fully error-free ... and that was only 150 years. now how accurate do you think Babylonian scribes and ancient historical records hold up in today's society when its proven that those ancient historians were also prevalent story-tellers. and most of the accounts came from christian sources well after the purported death of jesus?
Did you even watch the video? I'll explain from information I gathered... You see, no body except for Christians took Jesus seriously, and even some were skeptical and doubtful when he was alive. After he died and, yes, resurrected, his message got out to the disciples and Paul. And so Jesus became recognizable, and this is when we get writings of Jesus. Also as a side note, if Jesus never existed, then Christianity would not even exist, and even if it did, how would you convince all these Jews that he was resurrected? The Jews and the Romans would deny it, and Christianity would die down within a year at most. No serious historian thinks Jesus never existed. (And Richard Carrier is not a serious historian in case you were gonna say.)
where's you're evidence? - the bible is not evidence, the bible is the claim. - old, incredulous scribes are not evidence, nor do they mention jesus christ of nazarene. - there are no CONTEMPORARY writings of jesus. - no evidence left behind by the man-god himself. - no first-hand accounts of jesus. everything is second, third-hand hearsay which is deemed unreliable due to the fact that no one can attest to these meetings. - all evidence to support jesus: pliny, seutonius, josephus, tacitus, etc... have all been debunked. those are the typical names used to support jesus, and they're all facetious. *side note: there is zero evidence of ANY resurrection. there is zero evidence for a man-god walking on water. zero evidence for a man feeding a nation of a loaf of bread and two fish. zero evidence that a man-god cured leprosy & the blind by touch. zero evidence of a world-wide flood. zero evidence for a man-god turning water into wine. zero evidence of talking/burning bushes. zero evidence of noah's ark. zero evidence of talking serpents. zero evidence that woman was made form man's rib. zero evidence that the world was made in seven days. I could go on....
+Jeff Connors Ok, you too have made many claims without evidence. Now, how about you back up each and every one of your claims with at least 3 credible sources. As I have found evidence contrary to the claims you have made, I would like to see yours. It's all well and good for you to trash people's evidence, yet here you are making claims, "willy nilly" without sound evidence to back up your claims.
Not convincing answer at all. No evidence other then the bible, which has been edited, changed and suited by man and even woman to suit their way of life. This Nabeel guy is so dilluded and naive, he believes people who wrote books based on their own evidence. I can write a book claiming so and so, does not make it true. To me as as an ex-christian the bible and Christian and the Christian God does not make sense, never has and never will, its a reason why educated people simply do not believe in this faith anymore. Or never have!
The question was is there any evidence of Jesus outside of the bible... He gave examples of ancient writings not associated with Christians that suggest that there was a man named Jesus who was worshiped near the times after his death! This is historical evidence that other cultures knew of him as a real being. So now we can assume that he was in fact a real person the rest I suppose is down to faith whether or not you believe he was actually who he said he was... You will never find definitive proof that will satisfy you unless you see it with your own eyes that's why we must rationalise on what evidence we have access to. History is littered with characters that are considered factual that have less evidence supporting their existence.
im sure you dont even wanna know what the jewish historian wrote about the early christian because you already made up your mind that you cant even trust the early historian. im a former Atheist and just recently on last year dec 2014 I bcame a believer after having supernatural dream about Jesus that make me do research about Jesus and I found out the evidence for Jesus was just far more stronger than any other man in history. and if Jesus didnt existed then, all the other much less famous people also didnt existed like Alexandra the great, Leonardo Davinci just a fairytale and the painting wasnt even his painting but someone else and so on :)
many believe in consentine 1 but not jesus. many of the farmer govenors and kings who spoke about jesus but not in jesus existence. but the bible has to be fulfilled. but i am sorry for who the bible is fulfilling on.

phil, that's a rather ignorant point of view. first of all, how do you assume ALL atheists believe in bigfoot and aliens? second of all, I'd like to point out in a universe with multiple planets that can support life, wouldn't the logical conclusion be that life exists elsewhere? so, by simply calling athiests "losers" you prove a point. atheism has nothing to do with ego. it's simply examining the evidence and not seeing any evidence of god. I'm sorry that atheism seems to offend you, but it's a two sided coin
Yes, Jesus existed . That is why we celebrate Christmas, Passover and Easter and 2000 years after his death calendars have been reset. Praise God! Shalom
One Step Away why do we celebrate christmas on december 25th when jesus was born in the summer? Why is easter on a differemt date every year, depending on the lunar cycle?
Corey Holt we don’t have the date when Jesus was born. Dec 25th is not his birth date but the day that is used to recognize and celebrate his birth. Easter is actually determined by the Jewish calendar. This is because in the Bible, the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ happened after the Jewish festival of Passover, and followers wanted it to be celebrated as such. Shalom
One Step Away it's actually pagan. The roman empire combined pagan festivals with christian symbolism in an attempt to unite their people under one common tradition. Your religion is a control tool. Always has been.
Corey Holt half what you said was true. Roman Empire did integrate Christianity into their pagan tradition but that didn’t happen until hundreds of years after the resurrection of Jesus. Wasn’t until Constantine this all changed and Christians no longer had to live in fear or isolation. Regarding religion. Christianity is not a religion. That is a misconception. There is no following without the resurrection. It is this historical event that billions of people stand on and put their faith in. If Jesus did not rise from the death than my faith is in vain. Paul and the apostles spoke of this very fact very clearly. I have never been more free. Not sure why you said control. Sin controls not God.

You have found Jesus who "according" to the gospel of John cried on the cross " Eli Eli lema sebachani " My God My God why
have You forsaken me.
My dear, christianity was formed by Paul who was against the apostles who believed in God Almighty and Jesus who was His
prophet and messenger as he clearly said that he was sent to the lost sheep of Israel and not the gentiles and he did not come to change the laws of Moses but to bring back the Jews to spirituality since they had become materialistic in all their ways.
His miraculous birth and the miracles that God gave him was to prove this.
I would also like to point out that John:1 was not in the original.scripture. This is the backbone and the base of modern day christianity and when the base is fragile the building will collapse. And it has. This was discovered by christian scholars in
1952 after studying the old manuscripts and that it was an addition by a scribe and they dropped it out of the revised standard
edition ( the first print ) and returned it to the following edition since this would cause the building to collapse.
Your four gospels " according " to Matthew, Mark Luke and John. were not written by the apostles who were the only witnesses and they were selected from among more than 1000 gospels and Arias and his followers who were true Unitarians
were banished and persecuted because they believed that Jesus was the beloved Prophet and Messenger of God.
There is proof that Jesus Existed -
The Quran is proof enough that Jesus existed as one of the Greatest Prophets and Messengers of Almighty God.

Caesar did exist, so as Jesus!

Thiest: i just showed you that Jesus really did exist and heres the evidence again!
Besides i was quoting this

or more like they dont want God to exist.
Justin Caleb,
I think your first comment is spot on.

Atheist: There is no evidence that jesus existed.

@amir hamza pedophile muhammad is in hell, maybe u should read Nabeel's books

@amir hamza how does that make any sense? Why would Jesus be in heaven but not Nabeel??
RIP Br. Nabeel, you were great apologists. May God bless your family
Jesus Himself gives the greatest evidence outside of the Bible:
John 10:37-38 "Don't believe Me, unless I do the works of My Father. But, if I do them, though you don't believe Me, believe the works - the miracles - so that you may know that the Father and I are one."
What's he saying?
You don't have to believe anything I say, unless there are miracles from God that validates my message.
The modern church expects that the world will flock to Jesus because we say we have good theology, or proof from historical data.
If we want to represent Jesus well, we need to follow in His footsteps. If the Father doesn't validate our message, maybe we aren't sharing the same message, and people have reason not to believe it.
That bias book is not proof....

BBALLISBEST enjoy your hell.
That's why.
E. Lewis Basher that will continue to happen during judgement if you are a bad human . Good ones are saved
Because atheist value truth and hate lies and liars.

There was no "press" no internet
Press? 😂🤦🏾♀️
Letters and occasional writings were the only records of the time.

The 8 Hostile Non-Biblical Pagan Accounts Regarding Jesus:
1. From Thallus (52 AD), we can conclude that
Jesus lived, He was crucified, and there was an earthquake and darkness at the point of His crucifixion.
2. Tacitus (56-120AD):
In his “Annals’ of 116AD, he describes Emperor Nero’s response to the great fire in Rome and Nero’s claim that the Christians were to blame… Tacitus confirms several historical elements of the Biblical narrative: Jesus lived in Judea, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and had followers who were persecuted for their faith in Christ.
3. Mara Bar-Serapion (70AD):
Sometime after 70AD, a Syrian philosopher named Mara Bar-Serapion, writing to encourage his son, compared the life and persecution of Jesus with that of other philosophers who were persecuted for their ideas. The fact Jesus is known to be a real person with this kind of influence is important.
From Mara’s account, we get:
He was a wise and influential man who died for His beliefs. The Jewish leadership was somehow responsible for Jesus’ death. Jesus’ followers adopted His beliefs and lived their lives accordingly.
4. From Phlegon (80-140AD), we can add:
Jesus had the ability to accurately predict the future, was crucified under the reign of Tiberius Caesar and demonstrated His wounds after he was resurrected.
5. Pliny the Younger (61-113AD)
In ” a letter to the Roman emperor Trajan, describes the lifestyles of early Christians”, we can add:
the first Christians believed Jesus was GOD, the first Christians upheld a high moral code, and these early followers met regularly to worship Jesus.
6. Suetonius (69-140AD)
Suetonius was a Roman historian and annalist of the Imperial House under the Emperor Hadrian.
From Suetonius:
From this account, we know Jesus had an immediate impact on His followers: They were committed to their belief Jesus was God and withstood the torment and punishment of the Roman Empire. Jesus had a curious and immediate impact on His followers, empowering them to die courageously for what they knew to be true.
7. Lucian of Samosata: (115-200 A.D.)
Lucian was a Greek satirist who spoke sarcastically of Christ and Christians, but in the process, he did affirm they were real people and never referred to them as fictional characters.
From his description of Jesus, we get:
He taught about repentance and about the family of God. These teachings were quickly adopted by Jesus’ followers and exhibited to the world around them.
8. Celsus (175AD)
Celsus was quite antagonistic to the claims of the Gospels, but in his criticism he unknowingly affirmed and reinforced the Biblical authors and their content. His writing is extensive and he alludes to 80 different Biblical quotes, confirming their early appearance in history. In addition, he admits the miracles of Jesus were generally believed in the early 2nd century.
Celsus confirms several claims:
Jesus had an earthly father who was a carpenter, possessed unusual magical powers and claimed to be God.
The 3 Hostile Non-Biblical Jewish Accounts Regarding Jesus:
1. Josephus (37-101AD)
In more detail than any other non-biblical historian, Josephus writes about Jesus in his “the Antiquities of the Jews” in 93AD.
From Josephus, we can conclude:
Jesus lived in Palestine, was a wise man and a teacher, worked amazing deeds, was accused by the Jews, crucified under Pilate and had followers called Christians.
2. Jewish Talmud (400-700AD)
While the earliest Talmudic writings of Jewish Rabbis appear in the 5th century, the tradition of these Rabbinic authors indicates they are faithfully transmitting teachings from the early “Tannaitic” period of the 1st Century BC to the 2nd Century AD.
From several passages in the Jewish Talmud mentioning Jesus by name, we can conclude:
Jesus had magical powers, led the Jews away from their beliefs, had disciples who were martyred for their faith (one of whom was named Matthai), and was executed on the day before the Passover.
3. The Toledot Yeshu (1000AD)
The Toledot Yeshu is a medieval Jewish retelling of the life of Jesus.
The passages in the Toledot Yehsu confirm the following:
Jesus claimed to be the Messiah, healed the lame, said Isaiah foretold of His life, was worshipped as God, arrested by the Jews, beaten with rods, given vinegar to drink, wore a crown of thorns, rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, was betrayed by a man named Judah Iskarioto, and had followers who claimed He was resurrected and ascended, leaving an empty tomb.

Dr. Bart Ehrman, Book 'Did Jesus Exist' 2012: "the alleged parallels between Jesus and the pagan gods in most instances reside in modern imagination: we don't have accounts of others who were born to any virgin mother, died as an atonement for sin and were raised from the dead."

No contemporary first hand evidence.
1961casey wow, maybe you should have been keeping records! There is so much in what you say I don’t know where to begin so I won’t. I hope you and your gods will be very happy together.

Not that it matters but here are a few. Flavius Josephus Jewish historian Tacitus a Roman historian, Lucian of Samosata. Try and find them in the divine evidence web site.Thallus told of an eclipse during the death of Jesus. Celsus h...Galen g...Suetonius f.. of course Titus destroyed Jerusalem in 70 a.d. just a few. If any of us tried to trace our history, it is hard to do. History & facts of 2000 yrs. is hard to find. but 500 people witnessed Jesus after death. Most critics back then didn't say he did not exist, but rather denied his claims. This is a new teaching, hey he did not exist. Most scholars we here about are decades later written about so we could use that argument in most of our history. I have trouble proving my family. does that mean they don't exist?
Paul Rock Thank you sir.
Paul Rock , I see your point i used those sources also . But they are not eyewitness to the resurrection , they were not even there when Jesus lived . 2000 yrs is hard to find , but we do find it in Egyptian history , and further back in Surmerian how they lived and who were kings during certain reigns .
Also this is not a new teaching , some of the early Americans (fathers) did not believed .Albert Schweitzer a German Missionary and Theologian wrote a book called " Quest of the historical Jesus " came to the conclusion the Bible Jesus never existed .

Rob Bob:
You are incorrect. The whole world doesn't support our Gregorian calendar. There are other calendars that are not in the year 2018. Also, the Roman church has had a stranglehold on many arenas, and one of them was revisiting the calendar and correcting it. Thus, the person who revised the calendar -- was a Monk who (appropriately -- for the religious) revised the calendar according to his suspected birthdate of Jesus. Yet, even that (if you will really start studying -- instead of just believing what the Church says) is (mostly) off by 6 to 10 years (at least) ... That's, with the caveat, that Jesus existed -- in the first place ... Do some research, and you'll be surprised what you find out about Jesus' History. Stuff you don't want to know. I didn't when I was religious. I believed without research. Trust me -- don't do the research -- if you still want to believe ...

The Bible is a fictional book.
You need to understand that the Earth is not created 6000 years ago as the Bible says
we now know the earth is more like 85 billion years old.
Would you say, "I know you wrote it and signed it, but do you have other documents to back up the assertion in your letter."
As for the Bible contradicting itself 100 times; this is not true just because you assert it.
Ultimately the bible is what made me stop believing in god. It is such obvious nonsense that I had to constantly lie to myself in order to keep believing in it. Eventually i realized that no god would gift me with intelligence and then expect me not to use it.

Not believing in something does not mean it will go away. Jesus’s teachings are simple, repent of your sins and put your trust in him. If you have any issues with that it means your are in love with your sin.

the same thing is with islam ; just like mary mangdalene believed met him after committing adultery same way many woman in mecca who before commited adultery later accepted islam and was forgiven ; the point to be noted is that Jesus said dont do it again , same in islam if you are a non muslim and you accept islam with true heart all your previous sins are washed away but if you know everything yet keep repeating same evil action than you have to face the punishment

You believe that believers are ignorant because they believe in a god who created us. so they believe in a beginning and on a creator. atheists believe in a non created world so they believe in a world who comes from ever and will be for ever . they believe that the big bang was the beginning but what they dont know is that acording to how they think the bigbang came after the "ever" (after an infinite time )who is imposible. they believe that everything came from nothing who is tooo stupid. at least believing in a creator is more logical than believing in a world who was created by nothing and who came from ever with no begenning (why the bigbang will happen now why not in 10000000000000000000000000000000000 years before? and why life will begin now and not 100000000000000000000000000000000 and alot more of years before?)
atheists always ask for proofs and they are attached in science but they never give proofs and think that they are smarter than believers. this is why you can not call a believer an ignorant and try to relate everything with science with no proofs (for example ther is no proof fir the bigbang or for the evolution....)

The universe is 13.8 billion years old and the planet Earth is 5 billion years old. Life on earth started 4 billion years ago. 99% of all life forms have gone extinct.
I would say God choose the wrong time to show himself as the Son 2000 years ago. Instead he should have sent Jesus now, 2019, where we have big brother video camaras that can capture and record every action and miracle and every word he says and can be covered by every news network in the world. That way in 2000 years, in the year 4019 and further on, nobody would be debating his existence and who is was. Fred V There is a letter from a Roman historían called Tacitus, “Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome..” that Tacitus reports Christians derived their name from a historical person called Christus (from the Latin), or Christ. He is said to have "suffered the extreme penalty," obviously alluding to the Roman method of execution known as crucifixion. Josephus, a first century historian had a couple of writings, “About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he ... wrought surprising feats.... He was the Christ. When Pilate ...condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared ... restored to life.... And the tribe of Christians ... has ... not disappeared.” The Babylonian Talmud, “a collection of Jewish rabbinical writings;
On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged.

Ul always be my bigger brother nabeel ! hope to see u in the next life !
@@1961casey '' he never wrote a word because the people he wanted to reach could not read " ? Well then who were the scribes writing for ?

The Gospels also don't qualify as evidence because they are not contemporaneous -- the earliest being mark, 70 a.d.
There are copious records for all prominent historical figures including ceasar ( have you tried google ) ?... and to think jesus is nowhere to be found in the historical record ?
Face it, your jesus has no more evidence than all the other numerous man\god saviors who preceded him.
@@jerrylanglois7892 Obvioiusly the scribes were not writing for Jesus, and if you had done any basic research you would know that they were the official record keepers of the time.
And I never said Tacitus was an eye witness, What Tacitus said was that he checked the meticulous official Roman records to verify that Jesus was killed under Pontius Pilate. Again I apologize for the Roman's lack of foresight to prevent all their records from decaying over time.
Oh, and by the way, just for reference sake, we don't have any eye witness accounts for Alexander the Great either. Just a rehash of his life 500 years after the fact.

So Roman historians are in the bible??? Guess I should take my degree in theology back
Oh my word! I never knew this man passed away… so sad :(
None of them are written during the first century.
Chris is right go look it up and you will be surprise
look it up where?
Lots of stories about Paul Bunyan too.
I don't believe Josephus, Tacitus, and The Jewish Talmud wrote about Paul Bunyan though, a lot of stories about Caesar and Alexander the Great, and even Evolution too.
D_fend R Josephus was proven to be a false document.
_"I don't believe Josephus, Tacitus, and The Jewish Talmud wrote about Paul Bunyan though"_
- *Neither did they write about Jesus. They wrote about what Christians believed and claimed.*
_"Numerous historians and others both pro and con, wrote about Christ, Christians, and Christianity. None of this would have happened had there been no Jesus Christ to begin with."_
- *Numerous historians and others, wrote/write about Harry Potter, Hogwarts and Magic. None of this would have happened had there been no Harry Potter to begin with.*
- *Your argument is illogical. People write about Jesus because Christians believe in Jesus and because the character appears in the bible. It is not evidence of actual existence.*
_"Those who try to say that Jesus Christ never existed do as much for Atheism as Christians do for Christianity who try to say the world is between six and ten thousand years old."_
- *False, and for the record I don't say that Jesus never existed, I say that he hasn't been demonstrated to have ever existed.*
_"The difference is, in the case of Atheists who say Christ never existed are a minority within a minority."_
- *That's false too. There is even a name for people who think Jesus was just a myth, mythicists.*
_"Academics who want to maintain their credibility in the community of archeological and historical authorities won't sacrifice their reputations on such claims."_
- *I've never actually seen an academic archaeologist talking about Jesus as if he existed, they tend to just not bother talking about it at all. They will talk about places in biblical stories, but not Jesus... I wonder why.*
_"Trying to defend an indefensible position by sheer stubborn denial of evidence just make themselves look ridiculous."_
- *So where is the evidence we supposedly deny? The closest anyone has come is pointing to the bible, or to people who didn't live at the right time and talk about what Christians believe... not about what is or was.*
It amazes me that people, like you, will write something like this talking about evidence and what people believe without giving a shred of evidence. Your first premise is laughably wrong and could be used as evidence that any literary character existed, and the rest of it is just assertions and a half-hearted appeal to authority. Are you trying to convince me, or yourself?
_"I've been posting evidence and links to it for quite a while here and I don't recall hearing from you until now."_
- *You didn't "hear from me" at all. You sought me out in a post.*
- *Also, why didn't you post any evidence this time either?*
_"If you know the difference between someone like Julius Caesar and Harry the Jew Potter, then you ought to be able to tell the difference between Jesus Christ and Harry Potter."_
- *If you can't realize that I was just showing that your premise was pointless when I inserted Harry Potter in, then there is no reason to continue with you. Frankly, the statement about Harry Potter has exactly the same weight as when you said it about Jesus.*
Wow... a quote mine and arguments from authority... woo... hoo... how will I ever counter any of that... lol
See, the thing is, there is extra-biblical evidence for the other people you mention... but not for Jesus, it would seem due to your seeming inability to present any. In this post you decided to again claim to have evidence, and claim to have posted evidence elsewhere, but somehow forgot to post any here. Till someone demonstrates that Jesus existed, I will continue to not believe the claim that he existed.
Is there any proof anywhere that the Bible story of the resurrection of Jesus actually happened?

Hey Jeffrey :) I don't think you understand what a Christian means when they say "faith". You don't have faith based on what you don't know you have faith based on what you DO know. For example, I have faith that my wife will not have an affair because she has shown to me her love and her commitment to the relationship. We don't have faith IN, we have faith "that". A very different distinction :D I pray you'll continue asking questions and seeking the truth!

ua-cam.com/video/-hMDyC02-3Y/v-deo.html
the bible is made up of 66 books. the bible is the claim.... not the proof for it. those who reference suetonious, tacitus, pliny or josephus... those have all been refuted time and time again. never mind that they post-date the life of jesus. easier to tell you happened well after the establishment has gained traction. and never mind that the people who are purportedly "witnesses" or give accounts of jesus are some of the most poor, uneducated people of the time. sheep-herders mostly. there is no corroborating evidence to suggest that they meet jesus. again, jesus arose from a time when story-telling was prevalent.
if someone told you they met bigfoot, would you believe them? what if 20 people told you they met bigfoot, would that do it? that's not a pathway to truths or fact. it is however one avenue... but people lie. that's why evidence to support the claim is key.
look at it this way... why don't we write books about newly formed gods today? im not talking about scientology or anything like that. im taking something substantial like celetial jesus, muhammad, vishnu, etc... its because we have a better grasp of universal understanding. those sorts of ideology are likely untrue and unsubstantiated. in 2016 you couldn't possibly walk into a courtroom and expect to prove an ideologue by purely referencing old scribes from a Babylonian era which fabled story-telling was prevalent and the norm.
Jeff Connors All of human history would have to be thrown out according to your theory....You must be a historical scholar...smh...
nope... most history is inconclusive and unknown. also, and most importantly, history is shared and interpreted, not asserted.
and I am not a historical scholar nor am I a historian, but I understand the job and title of a historian. most people have a flawed idea or misrepresentation of the title 'historian'. historians are not the arbiters of truth concerning history. they do not 'yay or nay' anything in history. that is not their job. they research and place things in their proper context. they do not tell you this happened or this didn't happen.
and lastly, just as contrast... in 2016, we don't even have all the information concerning Abraham Lincoln fully error-free ... and that was only 150 years. now how accurate do you think Babylonian scribes and ancient historical records hold up in today's society when its proven that those ancient historians were also prevalent story-tellers. and most of the accounts came from christian sources well after the purported death of jesus?

Rest in peace, Nabeel.
History is littered with characters that are considered factual that have less evidence supporting their existence.
what proof you have that the bible is changed?
im sure you dont even wanna know what the jewish historian wrote about the early christian because you already made up your mind that you cant even trust the early historian. im a former Atheist and just recently on last year dec 2014 I bcame a believer after having supernatural dream about Jesus that make me do research about Jesus and I found out the evidence for Jesus was just far more stronger than any other man in history. and if Jesus didnt existed then, all the other much less famous people also didnt existed like Alexandra the great, Leonardo Davinci just a fairytale and the painting wasnt even his painting but someone else and so on :)

andy what about a book written by a roman 20 years after christs death. Look up Cetus.
Is there any proof of Jesus perfoming miracles or proof of him being risen from the dead?
