In Spain squatting is called “Okupa”, it can take several years to resolve. There is a whole industry around it, including businesses that convince squatters to move out. All at enormous cost to property owners. It is pretty insane.

Sounds like a business opportunity...in south Africa a team called ..the termites..will go to your property and encourage squatters to move on .
