WOW. Never knew that either. It looks like he may have had a bottom retainer for some reason there. That'd do it. You can kind of see something and his tongue posture. It's way too absent now for it to have just been a natural occurring speech impediment. You can't work those kinds of wonders surely.
Watching this last night got me thinking; have all those grandstands at this circuit ever been remotely-full for any event? especially curious about the ones around turns 12 and 13.
It was a major flop though. Both the Americans and Chinese showed very little interest. I have to say not being any street circuits like we have here made the races fairly boring. We all know V8 supercars was most exciting on the street circuits. Also when they changed the regs to transaxles with sequential boxes and independent suspension over live rear axles the excitement dropped dramatically. The best racing was from 92-06 for V8SC IMO
Oh my God! Hitting a drain cover is painful but I remember watching Juan Pablo Montoya damage his McLaren Mercedes during the Grande Finale of the 2005 F1 campaign.
Whincup has worked hard fixing that lisp up over the years that is for sure.
Glad I’m not the only one that noticed that 😆

The sound settings don't help. The frequencies of the lisp are boosted by UA-cam/Supercars.
Parecen pequeños los coches en este circuito tan amplio. 👍👍🇪🇦🇦🇷
I remember this race. It's a shame it was only held once.
That Frosty incident was spooky: if I recall rightly, it was millimetres away from taking his left leg off.
Give it take but yea.
Race starts at 7:57

Grate Disaster For Frosty
That grate sent Mark Larkham's team broke. Winterbottom was so lucky.
Reckon China would let us there now? 😆
The good old days, when the V8's toured to Texas & Shanghai!
what the one and done races after signing 5 year deals. Doesn’t sound good at all
@@Preso_ I dont know about the politics, but it was awesome showcasing our racing cars to the world, at international Formula1 circuits!!

@Kamel Safar Zitoun
Which of the millions of imaginary magic skymen is yours?
