  • Let's unbox and review a HUGE pile of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (1st and 2nd Edition) rulebooks, supplements, and a variety of miscellaneous.
Do you love miniature board games, dice games, card games, wargames/skirmish games/tabletop RPGs/gaming in general? You're in the right place. Whether you enjoy Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), Pathfinder from Paizo, Warhammer Fantasy, Age of Sigmar, 40k, etc. from Games Workshop, Magic: the Gathering (MtG) from Wizards of the Coast (WotC), Pokémon, Nintendo, PlayStation, miniature terrain from WizKids such as WarLock Tiles, Dwarven Forge, Miniature Building Authority, Eslo, etc. there's probably something for you on my channel! Including reviews of mostly fantasy ttrpg/board game content, check out my hauls and game room tours!

Those large binders were filled with a large number of monster packs from different settings. (I was downsizing and I recently sold off my old collections of those.) Those loose cards were from other Decks collections, they just no longer had the boxes to hold them. A lot of that stuff looks to be 2nd edition or later. As for selling, there are a few websites that buy this kind of stuff. Condition matters a lot and while a lot of the items are in good to excellent condition, most have been used. So while valuable, not going to make you rich. Nice haul from a friend. You might find that the non-D&D items are the most valuable since many of those had much smaller print runs and are hard to find for collectors.

Nice collection! AD&D 1e and 2e are compatible with each other. You wont find any better D&D than AD&D. It is so much better than 5e. You should definitely try it sometimes. It can mix perfectly with your Dicey Depths.
The binders were a collection of monsters. Several supplements were released later that could be added.
The brown books are a series of 15 player handbooks for 2e with new races, classes, kits etc,. The Skills & Powers is an optional book for players, some call this AD&D 2.5 version because it was a sort of blueprint for 3e. The player screen you have to fold, so you get all the tables on all 3 sides. There are 2 decks with encounters, 1 deck for wizard spells, 1 deck for priest spells, 1 deck for psionic powers and 1 deck with magical items. D20 is D&D 3e.
21:31 I think it is Beast Rider, a Fighter Kit described in the brown book The Complete Fighter's Handbook.

Dude, I had all of this man. I also donated all my stuff. I got back into RPGs after a 20 years break and miss all my books and dnd stuff dearly. I'm having a blast lookin at all of this again. I bought a whole bunch of new books again, but those rarities, that I won't see again

See, that is really why I feel better about my friend allowing me to be the steward of this stuff. Not only am I able to enjoy it, but they know where it is, so if in 20 years they even decide they want it back, it is all theirs!

You want For Gold & Glory a simplified OSR version of 2e AD&D. It will be a good starting point to break into 2e.

Superb and touching that your friend gave you that gift.
And holy crap that room full of walls of games.
Inspires me to repurpose my own AD&D 2nd Ed stuff for those who could make better use of them

I still have a stack of the brown, green and blue 2E books, and the MC folders. BUt I sold most core books.

None of it is first edition. It looks like it’s mostly second edition may be a little third.. I had most of that stuff. Still have a good chunk of it.. and yes, the binders came with a portion of monster stats. And you put other packs to fill in the binders. If you want to give dungeons and dragons a try, I see use that stuff.. in my opinion, second edition is far superior to the convoluted fifth edition
