The gentleman who represented Earthroamer nailed it, answered every question Jay through at him, awesome job representing your brand. In addition, well done video and content from Jay Leno's Garage team, i'm so glad I watched from beginning to end.
he's quite knowledgeable , but man crack a smile or a joke once in a while!...;-)
I agree he would not be my brand ambassador, Jay had to constantly keep asking questions when this guy should have been putting on an infomercial. That's selling the product. If you're not smiling and laughing with Jay Leno there's something seriously wrong. This was the biggest exposure this company will probably ever have and I feel like they blew it not finding a better person to represent.
I've been in the RV business before and this is one of the first RVs I've seen that seems to be designed by actual engineers and not drape salesmen.
you need to get out more.....there are lots of these things on the market.
@@christopher480 You're welcome to post the others, But even within the space of custom overland shops this seems like a step above.
Which are your most recommended Class C RVs? I've been looking for one on the sprinter chassis. Thanks.
I love when jay does off road vehicles. I have been lucky enough to see 3 earth roamers over the years and I must say they are very impressive vehicles. Definitely on the lottery list.
Though our lives are light-years apart I appreciate Jay more than most of the famous guys, he knows the value of a snap front shirt.

I lived in Frederick Colorado just a few miles from EarthRoamer’s facility at I-25 and Highway 52 and remember when they first got started there. They’ve come a long way since I first saw them get started. Having their LTI featured on Jay’s show certainly isn’t going to be bad for business. They’ll probably sell a few more just because of this video.
Sad how Colorado has turned into San Fransisco. The entire 225 corridor is overun with homeless camps, Denver is a crime ridden shithole, Boulder is psychiatrically drugged sociopaths, andCo Springs turned into a gang haven.
Haven't been there in 3-4 years, can't imagine how far worse it got NOW 😯

12:29 - The silverware, and all the dishes are compactly stored so they don't rattle inside the cabinets. This significantly reduces interior noise while driving. You have road noise from outside, metal panels vibrating, and interior rattles from screen door, utensils, etc. By using this sandwiched foam core, they have insulated and reduced outdoor noise significantly, no metal panels to rattle, and everything is wedged in tight to prevent clinking sounds from inside. Very well done.
An awesome build, this is not just a house but a survival camp. I am impressed with the mileage at 10 - 12 mpg. This is what my Class C Ford E350 V10 gets with much less weight on it. A very heavy duty but agile RV, beautifully crafted.
If they’ve managed to fly under the radar since 1998, well, that’s not the case anymore! The world will soon know about these amazing machines thanks to Jay.
This was an exceptional episode, my guy knows his stuff.
Complete non-traditional car guy/gal subject matter. Absolutely fascinating! Thank you Jay for once again expanding the horizons of mechanical and engineering ingenuity!!!
Jay asked every single question anyone can possibly have . much love and respect..
I think an obvious question would have been...HOW MUCH $$$...I didn't hear that question...
@@historicalplayground Hmmm, 🤔 one would really have to love off-roading; it seems funky and boxy with a super high center of gravity. I think I'd prefer a more comfy traditional camper/airstream type vehicle, and tow a Bronco or Jeep behind for more serious off-road adventures, but to each his own.
I live in Alaska and have seen quite a few come through over the years. A friend of mine got to mount new tires on one....these things are amazing!
I have waited over a year to see a video of an earthroamer longer than 10 minutes while it's in motion. It was worth the wait.
Yeah lots of glitzy promo videos from manufacturers just show glamour shots, super-brief clips, and bullet points from the brochure, set to annoying high impact music. A few have professional presenters who make it all about themselves so you can't learn about the vehicle. I know they think they're impressing their bosses, or maybe just catering to some imagined average viewer who only clicked for the eye/ear candy, but the impression I come away with is A) I wasted my time, and maybe also B) what, does their product suck so much that it won't survive a deep dive? Jay and this guy did a great job. I feel like I actually learned something.
Leave it to Jay Leno's Garage to finally put an ER trough its paces in the back-country! Until now, you could search UA-cam forever and not find any videos of an ER hitting the trails. I enjoyed the extended conversation between Jay and Zack during their drive. We've all seen the inside/outside walk-around videos, so I'm glad they kinda skipped through those things. As others have said, it's a dream vehicle for them and while I also can't afford one, I still like seeing them featured in these kinds of videos.
at the start of the video when the ER guy stressed 'manager' in his title i rolled my eyes and thought this is going to be a disaster. but wow, dude turned it around and knew his stuff. he also didnt interrupt or try and lead jay like lots of vehicle reps do. nice job!
... occasionally the ER guy looked a little bit concerned when Jay was unable to open something for example the ladder to the bunk. but I have to give Jay credit for just going ahead and opening things before asking.
So cool to see my Hydrodipping work being in front of Jay Leno! Something I never thought was possible
Jay is just a master at probing and asking questions that give you the answers you want to hear.
Man. Leno is moving and talking and acting like an old old man… so different from his talk show days. Stay strong and healthy sir for many many more years!
I've noticed as well. Think he'd benefit from some yoga, regain some flexibility.
Yes this, and i guess at that ripe age to me he didn't seem to impressed, like I said I guess at that age you have seen it all , great video, great earthromer, great questions, great answers
Let's just feel blessed that he's doing ANY of this at all.. cuz he doesn't have to, he has enough money to fade into retirement and enjoy his toys all to himself...
shoutout to the employee of Earthroamer he seems to know ever aspect of this rig! Great job brother
Mr. Leno you have rewoken my love for all cars with your enthusiasm and knowledge. Great videos and great guests, your passion shines through.
Mr. Bearded guy is impressive as a salesman, he knows his product. Perhaps he should add the word "bespoke" to help describe how special each unit truly is.
Once i met a german couple in their early sixties, who had this huge 4x4 truck camper. He was a physician, she a high school chemistry teacher. Both retired.
They said they still owned a house in Germany, probably some huge villa, but that they lived there only three months annually. Mostly to spend time with their children and grandkids.
The truck was made by Orangework. And this vid reminded me of the build quality and engineering that goes into these Globetrotter RV's. That couple were great, friendly people, living a great life. And that's what these vehicles are about.
That guy is an amazing person for this business. Definitely the right guy for this show and to work with customers.
They don't advertise, but now they're gonna have to expand. Best advertisement...Jay Leno's Garage!😃
Actually, many luxury/exclusive companies don't advertise. It's more of a "if you know, you know" and you're in the club kind of thing.

One of my buddies asked me if I ever go camping and I told him when the weather was nice I slept with the windows open. I still think this is pretty cool.
The kid is a great representative for the company.
Well spoken and knowledgeable.
Fantastic show, thanks Jay to take so much time for this and all your questions were so spot on and going into details not everybody does.
Very cool to see EarthRoamer on the channel Jay...what a success story for a very niche market.
That market isn’t niche what so ever. Hundreds of millions of people on instagram alone enjoy overlanding. Same here on UA-cam. It’s not niche and it’s never been niche. You boomers are stupid.
I think Jay really started to get the awesomeness when he saw the grill. :-) Also, 25:05, NIW THAT'S A BADASS HYBRID! 🙂
Nice to see the EarthRoamer on the road with an expert. Great Job MR Leno for doing this.
What a cool vehicle! For those with the spirit to camp and explore I can't imagine how you could not like all the EarthRoamer has to offer. Jay seems to be impressed with the quality and workmanship and that everything is so well thought out. The guy selling the vehicle really knows his product ,Jay didn't have any questions that stumped him and it was always a positive response as to what the vehicle could/would do if a certain situation should arise. Wonderful! And Jay you were a mighty fine driver!
An oversized camper truck. Jay really will review anything that rolls, makes noise, or explodes. LOL. Love it. Jay reviews an RV!

I have been drooling over this vehicle for years. This is my dream vehicle 😍
Very well built. No desire whatsoever to go camping, but a very well built vehicle.
A very well produced program and a fantastic piece of equipment.
Several years ago we stopped at the factory and saw first hand on how well built these units are made.
The off-road version of Airstream? This is one crazy good truck.
Just saw one of their units last week in Ontario... looked well built and up to task.
Amazing, I just saw one of these in the national park near my house a couple months ago and had that same "What the heck" reaction and had to check it out... from a respectable distance of course
BEAUTIFUL TRUCK and they detail to space is amazing, everything on there is for a reason and looks well made and thought out from they wine glass holders to they bathroom. amazing
Saw an Earthroamer LTi in person a few days back. Absolutely amazing.
What a piece of engineering! This rig is so solid, so well laid out, not a single space wasted, and it seems to ride like it's carved out of a solid piece of steel. Great, compliant, quiet ride.
I am a 70 year old widow who loves to drive and travel. I now have a new bucket list item. Love this!
I was thinking this thing would cost between $200-300k but its priced at $800K which sounds unbelievable expensive for what you're getting.
Economy of scale … the first few of any really innovative new thing are always more expensive … be patient and the price will go down some. Right now, this vehicle is worth $500K, at least it is for the people who really want it and have the money available.
More importantly, they are setting a higher bar for RV manufacturers.
(I want mine built on a Cybertruck body.)
Fascinating blend of high function, security & true comfort! (But I'm going to add the washer/dryer option to mine! 🥳)
One thing great about having a product for 1%ers is that the economy never affects your market.

Excellent review Mr. Leno great work thank you for all your hard work sir!!! Top SHELF truck
I build industrial vacuum trucks. I imagine the level of craftsmanship that goes into these earthroamers is similar to what goes into a vac unit. Lots of people play a role, sometimes only building a single piece, but everyone knows his role, and builds something he can be proud of when it goes down the road next to you, or you see an operator in the field using it . All the fine details down to the cabinet latches exhibit a well thought out, quality design that works
I grew up doing lots of family time in a 1976 Chevy Blazer Chalet. We went everywhere in it and this really reminds me of a new version of that. I would LOVE for Jay to do a video on the rare Chevy Blazer Chalet! Please Jay!! Sincerely,Matt in Ohio
@@kyrujames Lol indeed but the idea of Jay doing a vid on the Blazer has comedic possibilities. A bit like Clarkson and caravans (trailers)
@@michaelball4683 That's just a standard Blazer. The Blazer Chalet had a camper built in it from the factory. The top popped up and it had even bunks that rolled out in the top. You could walk from the cab into the back. Heater, stove and water system. For the engine it had a 400 small block in a few of them. They are super rare with only 1800 made in a 2 year span.

My dad bought one of these and we drove from Nebraska to Canada to go fishing... it was awesome
For that money you could have flown in a private plane and still have change for beer
Funny thing is... We have a Citation plane, but had purchased fishing lodge that my dad went to when he was younger with his dad... It was a better way to spend time together.. Had conversations we have never had nor did I ever think we would have, joked around, hit a few steak houses.. We had to fly a beaver float plane from La Ronge Saskatchewan, to a very secluded lake in far northern SASK to Lake Deception. really funny thing is... this lake was beyond remote and HUGE with many fingers and coves, and islands, but later on when Dad and Mom went with 2 other couples about a year later, it was very still out. (no wind), and beautiful day so they went to explore on boats, and hours later came around this point to see another fishing camp, but what was really funny is that the lodge they stumbled on was called Cornhusker fishing camp, or maybe just Husker fishing camp, I cant remember, but they stopped and it turns out that the owners of the place were from Omaha!!!! What are the chances??! Us being from Nebraska it was INSANE!!!!

They’re pretty rare and there of course was no pass through, but Ford did have a quad bucket seat option on crew cabs, on the previous generation steel body super duty trucks. Early 2000’s it was available in the Lariat LE trim package, and the Harley Davidson super duty’s also had it available.
