"Adhan" "Selene" Michael Manring

Keep an eye out for the new Michael Hedges website. There you will see things like unreleased video from this show with Michael Manring at the Great American Music Hall in 1994. This is from Michael Manring's release "Thonk," apparently somewhat too cerebral for the then Windham Hill Records.

Thonk -LP released -1994

Selene was first released, I believe, on the Windham Hill Guitar Sampler Vol. 2, in 1991, and then Adhan was on Thonk. Selene hadn't been on one of Michael's albums before that time -- it was a standalone track. He eventually included it on Soliloquy in 2005.

Part of me doubts Mr. Michael Manring "got booted" from Windham Hill Records seeing how 'Thonk' was on High Street Records which was a subsidiary label of Windham Hill and he was on plenty of their compilation albums after 'Thonk'. Sorry if it was just a joke that went over my head....
