Shame on Glocks and every other firearm company that make plastic framed handguns. Canik seems to keep their customers in mind when you buy from them. Including even a freakin' holster in that case.

I love how this gun looks and I’ve heard lots of good things about how it shoots and its trigger. Is it a good conceal weapon though? It seems a little big.
It’s size does not lend for it to be easily concealed, however it’s certainly possible. It’s specifically designed to be in the competition category for Steel Plate Challenge, etc in the Production class or Carry Optics class. Therefore, its features such as flared mag well, weight-reducing cut outs, barrel length, and extended mag release are all suited towards competing and would likely hinder concealment.
You can get Canik SC compact size gun. I also recommend Canik SF both are amazing and good for carried as well. For Rival is more for competition type of gun
Welp my stupid 7 day waiting period starts tomorrow. I can pick up my Canik Rival next Saturday the 8th. That stupid shit went into effect last month on the 15th
I live in Washington State we can't have more than 10 rounds. I found this gun here with 10 round magazines. I was surprised they do make 10 round magazines for this gun.
To be honest, I agree. Lately Canik has been more concerned with releasing their what seems like quarterly releases and unfortunately their quality is quickly declining. If I was a reviewer, this would be a “don’t buy”.
@@GunBoxTherapy interesting, most reviews on the rival are very positive. I own 2 of these and the machining is great with zero issues. The only thing I would say seams cheap is their optic plate but so are glock and a few others. The trigger on these are also very impressive.
The way that Canik applies cerakote is not in the manner it is supposed to be applied. The finish on this Rival is way too thick and heavy which will lead to a "rubbery" kind of feel and it will cause the finish to scratch very easily through normal use. To be honest, every Canik I've handled over the past year has had this exact type of "too thick" finish. As I had mentioned in the video the "fluted barrel" is not really "fluted" in the way most people might want to get a a fluted barrel. You typically would flute a barrel so that you can use a heavy profile barrel and get the same benefits that come with one but the flutes provide weight savings. I believe you may be able to see in the close up video as well of the flutes on the barrel but Canik obviously was not using a sharp enough bit when cutting it which leads to chatter and burrs in those cuts.

Do you know what the irony is? I live in Vermont this gun is made in Vermont, but I can't get this gun because it holds more than 15 rounds so stupid.
