Such a lovely moment when your own daughter popped in for a cwtch (Welsh for hug) 🥰. I often go back to listen to this track. The lyrics and rhythm are genius. I really like the way the beat comes in at 2m 18s to intensify the message. His voice rises at 2m 40 to add to the effect. The music texture thins at 3m only for it to recommence at 3m 12s. Such a clever device to compel the listener and give a sense of momentum towards a finale. I liked the way you picked up the timing of the lyric on ‘unity’. We probably all would use it where he says ‘hate’ but a kind of staccato then propels the rapping rhythm again. Amazing artist. Your reactions are great to watch 🙏

How I WISH that I had this song decades ago. I was bullied mercilessly in elementary and middle school. And it didn't stop once I got home as my mother was quite the bully herself. This all lead to cutting myself, heavy drug use, etc. Anything to quiet the pain...

Ren has a Huge HEART. Once again he uses his platform and reach for important social commentary. He's determined to tell it like it IS - and Make a DIFFERENCE!
I want ALL Schools ( and Shopping Malls! ) to play this on continuous loop! Kids HAVE to learn, and then to to apply, some critical analysis and have peer groups who spread these messages. Not to be just open 'Social Media Sponges'. To build the understanding that these Social Media images of the so called 'Ideal' are manufactured - Not REAL. That NOBODY is groomed within an inch of their lives, and always 'up and happy'. That so many of these are photoshopped or otherwise 'filtered'. NOONE is perfect or has a perfect life!
We need a targeted "GET REAL!" campaign. Starting in the last couple of years of Primary school - at least! We also need to educate ALL our kids - and our girls in particular -but also our boys - about what 'Objectification' is, and what being 'Sexualised' is about. How this has come out of the porn industry and has nothing to do with the inner person. nor real respectful caring reciprocal relationships. How damaging and distorted these images are.
How TOXIC to relationships- to self esteem. Toxic to individuals and to society.

Excelent reaction on a serious subject. As a father of 3 girls I have been constantly fighting the indoctrination that starts from newborn with pink vs blue to attribute roles to gender.... Is it me or is the background sound at the start a photocopier clunking out duplicates like the fasion/beauty industry does with models?
