I'm constantly checking with my daughters. I was shocked when my, all in black, pierced, emo girl, came out of her room with natural hair color and all her jewelry out, a few weeks ago. She said, she just wanted to be her, not what everyone else's version of her. I wish I could get her to listen to Ren. She won't because how dramatically I changed over night. I know she can hear the music. Lol, I play it constantly. I think it freaks her out, Dadders can almost keep up with Ren's double time. He's a bit different than my usual Tool lol! Wicked reaction girlie! Try "Fire" by Ren. It's some John Frusciante guitar playing with a Michael Jackson flow on a Ren beat!
Thanks for this reaction! This song makes me cry every time. I've known and grieved for too many 'Mariahs' in my five and a half decades on this planet -hell, my mum went through it in the 1950s and 60s with insecurity, bulimia and amphetamine pills, and she still always under-ate and denied herself most 'treats' until she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, two months before she died at 72 years old. My sister went through it in the 1980s, and who knows how many (mostly) women that bullsh*t has claimed over the centuries? The killer is: it seems to be getting worse, not better right now...
Pro Tio... once you think you have Ren figured out.... the very next song will prove you dont know! Ren has more layers than an onion, more bars than a prison!
You do wonderful reactions! This is my favorite "messaging" song by Ren and having raised 2 girls and a boy it's a message that needs to be repeated too often.
Sneaky but effective. I've noticed that in Hi Ren, when many reactors start bobbing their head to the "left Ren" parts, because of the rhythm and flow, until they start listening to the lyrics...
He puts things in such a poetic meaningful way… I don’t know exactly what it is about Ren but he has brought me back to music in such a big way.. I had lost a lot of faith in the art of music as it had all gone stale and meaningless for the most part but he has brought back the feeling of being excited by music again. Keep up the great content.
I noticed from your reactions to this and specially to Chalk Outlines that the references to hiding your hurt behind a smile is something you are very familiar with. So i just wanted to send some love your way. And I hope you find ways to open up your heart to the right people in your life.
I get it! Our guy Ren has a way of grabbing our attention with his beat then sucker punching us with his thought provoking lyrics. He’s changing perspective’s with his artistic music messages…truly a gift that keeps on giving💝 Speaking of…keep your eyes and ears open! New release tomorrow 7pm UK time👍🏻
Such a great song. Ren has a way of singing about serious things with a catchy beat. It catches us a little off guard, and that's a good thing. I went through a lot of what he talked about, and it was long before social media or even the internet. It's society's expectations, largely based on gender roles. For women and girls, it's physical beauty and blaming ourselves if someone isn't happy or pleased with us. I think you can probably relate. 💚
You are so insightful and thoughtful. I never thought about the sound, sounding like setting up Dominoes and now that you mentioned it I hear it everytime
Really enjoyed this reaction and how it so accurately resonated with you personally. This track showing off of Ren's Pop side, Pop vibe but embedded with deeper message and striking that chord in it's message. Another great Pop vibe track, but one very upbeat and lighter, you might want to check out "Satellite Girl" from Ren's Freckled Angels Album.
Thanks for this one, I feel like its one of Ren's more polished songs, that for some reason doesn't get as much attention from the reaction community. As for your"rambling" at the end of the song... ramble on! Its what we came for!
Thanks Jessie, I’ve loved this song from the first time I heard it. Like you said it’s got a really good beat then hits you with quite a heavy message. Loved your reaction to it and looking forward to the next one 😊
the only thing you can expect from Ren is that hes going to take you somewhere you didnt expect but are glad you went there. id like to see you react to the official music video to "its allright' its been suggested by others and really think its one you'll love. just stumbled upon your channel and enjoying your reactions, thanks for sharing with us :)
Oh yes, one of Rens older songs. If you like happy beats check out more from his older stuff. Here are some suggestions from his album Freckled Angels: "Ocean," "Humble" "It's alright", "Fire", "Love music pt.1" and "Love music pt.2". They are all great with a happy beat even if the lyrics sometimes can be a little sad. And just as you know - you have a very nice smile😁
I love watching your reactions! You're just sooo cute, and put a smile on my face! Not sure if that is professional, being from one reactor to another, but...hey, it's the truth at least! lol
Freckled Angels will almost certainly make you cry but it's a beautiful song in tribute to a friend he lost to erm.... self forever sleep (don't know how sensitive UA-cam is to the "S" word). I've copied Ren's words from his community post as you'll probably get more than a few people mention his friend Joe. "On Christmas Eve 2010 I was sitting in a pub with Joe, he'd been feeling low after a couple of consecutive break ups. He tried to check himself into a mental health outpatient facility a few weeks earlier but they turned him away because he didn't have an appointment. He turned to me and said that sometimes he wished he could just walk into the sea and keep walking. He said it in a kind of half joking throw away comment type of way, then took a sip of his drink, walked over to the juke box and put Dig by Incubus on. If I knew that was the last time I'd see Joe id have hugged him, told him how much I loved him, how much I looked up to him, how much we all loved him, and I wouldn't have left that pub. I didn't know that, so I finished my drink, said happy Christmas and left. Two nights after Christmas I got woken up by a phone call at 3am, it was my friend Ella. She told me Joe was on the Menai Bridge, a large suspension bridge connecting the main land to the isle of Anglesey where we lived. He'd been on the phone to her in tears saying goodbye. He told her to tell everyone he loved them. I pulled on my clothes as fast as I could and started running toward the bridge. It was up a hill. I lived about a ten minute walk away, I could run it in five. As I ran I started dialling then redialing his number. The line was busy, which was a good sign, it meant he was still on the phone to someone. As I got about halfway, the busy tone changed. It told me the line was out of service. I got a sinking feeling and picked up my speed. I arrived to the bridge minutes after I left my house. It was deafeningly quiet. I was the first person to arrive. I got there probably about 2 minutes too late. Joe's body was never found. Initially we refused to believe he was gone. The coastguard came out that night, with boats, and helicopters. Me and my friends spent the next 10 days putting up missing posters everywhere we could, walking up and down beaches with flashlights, getting about 3 hours sleep a night When you're walking up and down a beach with a torch when its dark everything looks like a body. We still haven't found Joe. As his birthday came around, I wrote a song. Freckled Angels, a song I dedicated to Joe which I sang in front of his friends and family. A charity football match was put on for him, raising money for the RNLI where I won two bottles of wine in a raffle, I drank them both as quickly as I could naturally, turned to my friend and probably slurred something along the lines of "This is the last time I ever drink" That was 12 years ago,l haven't touched a drop of alcohol since. My first ever album I named Freckled Angels in tribute of one of the best people I ever knew."
Gezz i love you're reactions, they seen so different to other reactions i can't put my finger on it yet, but keep doing what your doing. ❤from the UK 🇬🇧
Thank you for the reaction and happy Valentines Day! Ren can hit hard at times but he has really fun stuff too. Love Music Pt. 1 - 4 for example. Hope you'll check out more 👍
@@flowersafterrainfall I bet your list is Growing much faster than you're prepared for! Lol Just do whatcha can, when you feel like it! Do Not get overly excited about doing More and More because of us asking for so much!!! Take care of you first n foremost!!! We'll be here for ya, when ya have time!!! 😊
I agree, it's good to hear a man talking about these things. Ren doesn't shy away from difficult topics. There seem to be quite a few of his songs that end somewhat suddenly. There's a live version here if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/xM0INbGDOyc/v-deo.html
REN. One way or another he hits you in the solar plexus? My problem with you Jessie, is that i/we don't know enough about YOU to know what Ren or other artists songs to recommend? Because I don't want to make you feel something too deep too bad. You want tough listening? I would say that Ren For Joe is up there? But then you need to listen to Freckled angels first? And then Suicide? That's a spoiler alert.
oh, you don't have to know anything about me to suggest songs, I'll check out all of them! and don't worry about me feeling things too deeply or anything. I'm not worried about it, anyway 😊
For me, it's one of his best songs!
And for me!
Oh yes. There are so many listening to Money Game and the tales and Hi Ren...
But this should be included in to that list of "first listen"
I'm constantly checking with my daughters. I was shocked when my, all in black, pierced, emo girl, came out of her room with natural hair color and all her jewelry out, a few weeks ago. You do wonderful reactions! This is my favorite "messaging" song by Ren and having raised 2 girls and a boy it's a message that needs to be repeated too often.
Agreed with the “yes you WILL reflect on this!” - the message becomes the primary driver for the music, not the hook. Happens in a few of his songs.
Ren has a real knack of playing an upbeat beat/melody over a deeper message - kind of pulls you in, then he hits you.
Sneaky but effective. I've noticed that in Hi Ren, when many reactors start bobbing their head to the "left Ren" parts, because of the rhythm and flow, until they start listening to the lyrics...
You’re probably the one of the most perceptive reactors I’ve seen. Oh, and you don’t ramble!!
i ramble sometimes 😂
The power of music,Ren made you move to the rhythm of your own tears ❤
You need to check out his song 'Suicide', it's about his best friend Joe. He actually wrote the final segment after speaking to the reactor Knox Hill
He puts things in such a poetic meaningful way… I don’t know exactly what it is about Ren but he has brought me back to music in such a big way.. I had lost a lot of faith in the art of music as it had all gone stale and meaningless for the most part but he has brought back the feeling of being excited by music again. That's what Aurora did for me :)
Food for thought Jessie. REN always brings us back down to earth ❤🏴🇬🇧
Ren and his bounce beats with heart breaking lyrics 🔥🔥🔥

Having a daughter myself, it’s probably my biggest fear for her. Ren is great at having an upbeat matched to sad lyrics lol
WOW!! What a song Ren! I've never heard such a sadder truth, I hope all young ladies everywhere get to hear this.
I get it! Our guy Ren has a way of grabbing our attention with his beat then sucker punching us with his thought provoking lyrics. He’s changing perspective’s with his artistic music messages…truly a gift that keeps on giving💝

You've got a lovely warming smile and lovely teeth. Glad you're enjoying Ren. He's one in a billion and he's got a new mashup/remix dropping tomorrow!

Another great track by Ren.
It's some song. What you said was spot on.
I hate to compare any musician with anything even vaguely religious because both are so personal but, wow
I Knew youd enjoy this one! This and his videos "Power", and "Ready for You", are Bangers!!!
As the kids call them! Lol

Another Gem and another Great reaction.
This one hits hard 🫡!🇬🇧!
This song calls out Simon Cowell, mocking the feeble.
You definitely need to do the full jenny and screech, it will blow your mind x

You got confidence 😊

This is a beautiful song, but it's one of the hardest listens. I lose it every time.
Enjoyed!
You can try out Uninvited for a lighter Ren.
😊
I don’t know if you are religious in any way but I would recommend ’Dear God’ by Ren also I hope you get around to ‘Ready For You’ soon.
