So here we have My Disney Kitchen, a sort of edutainment game for ps1 and PC.
There's no goal to speak of and the game doesn't give you objectives per se, it just let's you do whatever you feel like while giving you some hints as to what you could do next.
That is actually really smart cause kids won't run into a wall trying to have fun, nothing is gated by some still tutorial.
As edutainment it's adequate, you can learn recepties and every once in a while the game will remind you of safety rules, which still won't stop you from serving whole raw chicken in a banana smoothie and that's the important part.
@@stevenkurtz2730 True, it basically is exactly that.
I played this game on my PC back in the day, and while this game has a nice concept going for it, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The main problem with is that it doesn’t offer much to do for most players beyond its target audience of very young children. Much of the things it does offer to do is very short lived and doesn’t keep the player’s interest for very long. I remember thinking that it’s much easier to do the cooking activities in this game in real life. The graphics, music, and the voice acting are nice and serve their purpose well. Overall, a very simple, straightforward game that’s fitting for very young children, but boring for everyone else.
Yeah pretty much i actually had hard time making this video not exactly because it was boring but because I felt like I was doing something wrong not getting stuff to advance or unlock events and such, but then I realized i was expecting too much and these things just weren't there.
Would have been funny if there was some really obscure and stupid reward only triggered with a specific combination of ingredients.
don't hate on this game just remember when we WERE those younger kids and had endless hours of fun making cakes and flipping bacon and changing table cloths man. remember the time we were happiest and didn't even know it man
ah childhood how i miss you so
I have this game for the original PlayStation.
Dude the memories you brought me back with this. Thank you. Used to play this while growing up and I must say this is one of the most nostalgic things I've ever witnessed.
Just imagine the chef who finally opened their dream kitchen only for two mouses to roll up into his kitchen and demand service.
And as a professional, he does it.
Anyway it look cute but everyone older than like, 4 should play something else.
This game… is very simple! For toddlers, you will like this game! For older people… it’s a game you should skip!
as a 16 year old myself, i declare you as incorrect
What dose it mean if You're Kitchen Was A Disney Kitchen
As a kid, played this way more than I had business doing. On a computer with no speakers. Good times. 🔇
2:05 Who keeps bread in their drawers? 🍞🗄
8:22 Burning bacon on a roll-out griddle. 🔥🥓
13:53 Roll-out cake oven. Sure. 🎂
21:31 Just add tomato sauce directly into the pasta water. 🍝
41:45 Will it blend? 🍗(51:30)
59:30 A good potato soup requires grape jelly. 🥔🍇
I feel like they really dodged the bullet there with what mickey and minie would eat, which was cake and breakfast things. Imagine if you could feed mickey a whole raw chicken mixed into a smoothie with a burned steak on side.
They were actually surprisingly careful making this, like if you try to microwave a can the game won't let you do that.
I had the pc version of this game. I didn't really do anything with it though. Just clicked on a couple of ingredients and then closed it to play the toy Story animated storybook
Even though I'm an adult and this game is more for younger players and all, I actually still have this game for PS1 and I still like it myself too since it seems like a really neat and educational way of cooking for fun even though it's been a while since the last time I played this game.
I played quite a few Disney games when I was kid buy i've never heard of this one until today. I think it's so adorable. 😄🥚🧀🍗
