Im going to do it for the first time ever soon, for spiritual reasons. I started my loc journey about a year and a half ago, and I realized that there’s so much built up trauma and energy that I don’t need/want in my life anymore, and it’s in my locs. I want to shave it all off, and start my loc journey again, clear & clean. I’m 16 years old, thankyou for being a positive influence on me 🙏🏽
My big chop was about 2 years ago after learning that my 11 year old niece Aniyah had a rare cancer. My sister, my best friend and myself all allowed Aniyah to start the process of cutting our hair. We all cried together LOL We all felt more confident, better about ourselves and knew that we could all stick together during the change. Our hair has grown longer and healthier than what it was before the BIG CHOP!!
Aww Quinae I remember when you did that 😢. We thought that was such a beautiful way to show your support for her. Appreciate you sharing your results it gives me more encouragement 🙏🏾
LOOOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEE LOVE LOVE !!! You are amazing inside and out! We love when you drop these bangers and advice! You help many of us more than you know!
your feelings are so valid. I remember feeling all of this when I big chopped after impulsively relaxing my hair. Here's to new beginnings with more wisdom and a better foundation. You got this girl! And more than anything the Lord is with you.
I have throughly enjoyed your content so far😭 this is soo on time for this season of my life🙌🏾 I appreciate you letting God use you and sharing your testimonies! May peace and blessings be upon you sis🙏🏾🥰
This video was everything. Thank you for your vulnerability. I big chipped before and I was so scared to do it because I wanted to hold on to the dead things. Starting over was the best decision ever. You look beautiful.
So so sooo proud of you!! Thank you for your transparency and allowing us in, in this vulnerable, nerve wracking, but happy transition!!! Can’t wait for updates 🫶🏾🫶🏾
Awesome !! ❤ You took the 1st step so be patient with yourself, and with the process, and your hair will thrive. One thing I do for all of my clients is pray for them and their hair as I grease their scalps. I recommended you do the same since this is a spiritual thing for you. Tell God your hair goals as you're stroking that conditioner in your hair.😊 Speak affirmations over your hair and tell God you'll honor Him during your hair journey. I did a 3rd big chop last year for very similar reasons as you. I wear crochet braids too and my hair is healthier underneath. I'm excited for you and your journey and like I tell all of my clients, 'ALWAYS CHOOSE HEALTH over Length.' You got this!! ... P.S. -Every time I wear my natural hair out, people approach me about it. I use that opportunity to tell them I'm on a spiritual hair journey, which leads me to speaking about Christ or even inviting them to church. It still amazes me how God can use HAIR MINISTRY to advance His kingdom! ❤ ... btw...I'm the dancer from the event with DJ network. @Shandreka_monique
Oh wow!!! Hey girrrrllllllll !!! First and foremost thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate that! And you’re right. I’m being super duper intentional with my hair this time, one because It’s apart of my temple and responsibility to do so. But also because it is VERY MUCH SO an spiritual experience!! Thank you for that necessary encouragement ! Blessings sis!!!!
