Re: magnet for the gate, an old speaker magnet would probably work.
Congratulations on finishing your sheep yards. No doubt, despite your pleasure in having them, I think they would be exceeding your father's wildest dreams when he began his farming career. I can remember when Cyclone sheep yards first came out and they were so fantastic compared to the old post and rail yards, but your yards are beyond imagination !

Oh what a great video, good to see you back. The building of the yards really took me back when we did ours on the station, and first time for the sheep was really funny they ere really bushed about were to go.🤠🇦🇺

Wow, awesome. Under shelter and no mud. You can get magnets for welding lead earths, about 100mm round. Usually tilt them off, so might be a bit strong for a gate but you could align half the magnet to the rail I 'spose. Cheers
