    1. Focus on where you’re at (and where you want to go).
    2. Focus on what you have.
    3. Focus on yourself.
    4. Focus on what you can control.
    5. Feel the fear and do it anyway.
    6. Remove your (3-4) Distractions.
    7. Focus when you win. Greed is growth.
    8. You belong in your Dreams.

Ed, I listened to this video 3 times. I have tears in my eyes right now cause I was self-sabotaging, I knew I was but this video opened my eyes so much. I appreciate you so much man. I’m currently pursuing a private pilot license and it’s the hardest thing I’ve done. My last flight really took a hit at my confidence and I haven’t stopped reliving that and telling myself how much I suck. 😢 but starting now. I won’t focus on the past anymore. 🙏

Thank you Mr. Mylett. Powerful message. And actually a difficult one to listen to as well:
I sabotage myself daily. I Workout, I try to do my best at my job, and at the end of the day-I give myself permission to be lazy, reckless, irresponsible.
I had to force myself to listen to this, prevent myself from running from a difficult message; I even journaled on this. And I NEVER journal. I’m 46 years “young”, and I wrote about how I still feel a desperate need to do better things in my life; I had to be ruthlessly honest with myself and my tendency to fail. I’ve often tasted small successes over the years and then I completely sabotaged it. All the time. I hope to turn things around from the inside out. Maybe in five years I’ll be able to do something with remembering, and I’ll be on your show. Hahaha
By the way-I loved your interview with David goggins. He’s also a hero to me (since 2017). I hope to meet both of you great men in the future. Hopefully the near future.
God bless. Stay hard, in the words of goggins. Happy holidays.

I've listened to it a couple of times. I want to ensure this lesson always stays with me. I've found that out of the 7 symptoms mentioned, I catch myself sabotaging my efforts in 6 of them. The only way I avoid sabotaging myself is by not celebrating for too long. However, I've come to realize that not internalizing the wins could also be a form of self-sabotage. I used to believe I didn't deserve the win, so I'd keep moving forward without ensuring I acknowledged and internalized the success to boost my confidence. It's a very valuable lesson that I'll need to revisit in the future. Thank you, Ed.

One of the best things you said in this is to surround yourself in people who expect the best from you. I tell my students often if you're the best one in your friend group you need new friends, you need people who "bring you up" not give you the illusion of being great, by association.

Hi Ed, almost every part of this wonderful lesson is screaming my name cos I'm quilty of a whole lot of them.
Especially focusing on lack of things and Celebrating for too long. I close a good deal and i get complacent till i run low on cash before going haywire again.
Ans during this time, i over worry on lack and get fixated on things I can't control.
My love life is another area where thermostat keep getting low as though i deserve less probably thr programming came from my upbringing cos it was quite harsh parenting and dry toxic love that i was raised in.
Thanks for all you do, ED❤️

This is the single most important self help video on UA-cam, thank you, I am such a believer in this, my child that the UK education system gave up on at age 7, I home educated him and got this into his head that he now subconsciously keeps moving forward and is now at University studying IT, he is so progressive bless him, my friends stood by me but thought I was crazy but we did it and they are so proud of us as a mother and son and what can be achieved if you never give up x

Yes, I've experienced this before, with not knowing how to handle success, so you dial it back down to being what you know.

All of this is great advice, providing you dont suffer with a constant mental illness . Its like having a beautiful kit car with an engine thats 50 years old.

I like this video but I think there is also a deeper lack of self-esteem and self-love that leads to self-sabotage, which could have been the aftermath of events earlier in life. You will need to have compassion and practice loving kindness towards yourself.

For decades I felt controlled by the memories of my past. I also was living a life of lack and comparison because I believed that I was a weird person and felt that I was born that way. I am guilty of living a life of the 7 Symptoms of Sabotage.
