The first 22 seconds I had to pause the video my mind was blown. I never of thought self sabotage as a form of self control, giving yourself the illusion to predict the future. Hit home

I needed this. This was made for me I literally just did exactly everything you said word for word. I got some success and celebrated to long. I’m increasing my thermostat I started this week. It’s just crazy that I wake up today. See this telling me exactly what I did word for word and gives me the solution. The universe provided this information to me at the exact time I needed it. Let’s go 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿

Thank you Mr. Mylett. Powerful message. And actually a difficult one to listen to as well:
I sabotage myself daily. I Workout, I try to do my best at my job, and at the end of the day-I give myself permission to be lazy, reckless, irresponsible.
I had to force myself to listen to this, prevent myself from running from a difficult message; I even journaled on this. And I NEVER journal. I’m 46 years “young”, and I wrote about how I still feel a desperate need to do better things in my life; I had to be ruthlessly honest with myself and my tendency to fail. I’ve often tasted small successes over the years and then I completely sabotaged it. All the time. I hope to turn things around from the inside out. Maybe in five years I’ll be able to do something with remembering, and I’ll be on your show. Hahaha
By the way-I loved your interview with David goggins. He’s also a hero to me (since 2017). I hope to meet both of you great men in the future. Hopefully the near future.
God bless. Stay hard, in the words of goggins. Happy holidays.

Im having a gard time going through this video and not get emotional about my self-sabotages of the past. Then I notice myself getting emotional and thinking about the past and it is like I am back in sabotaging of myself. Learning to let go is hard and having courage at the right moments in my life have been the toughest. But now I see my subconscious clearer than ever. Taking my life back on purpose track.

All of the 7 symptoms are very valid but it struck a nerve in me the fact that anchoring in the past is so damaging as well as let things out of my control get the best of me.
Great video to start the year

So I learned my internal setting needs to be turned up. I need to stop making my life the way that negative people in my life said it should be. God didn't say I was a failure. He said I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Thank you for this gem sir. I'm in school at 38 trying not to live up to negative expectations. I'm tired of not believing that I don't deserve a more prosperous life.

This is really great. How do you deal with being married to a workaholic though? We’re definitely different in that aspect of our drives, his being much more than mine but it’s definitely a struggle because it feels like it’s an all encompassing thing in his life. Of course this is just my perspective and I appreciate his efforts. I guess my real question is where does drive become obsession?

We self-sabotage because it gives us the illusion of control - we can control what’s within our limitations
Don’t do something and when it starts working, instead of doing more of it, you are doing less of it
Are your conversations based on the past?
7 Things We Do to Sabotage Our Success:
Personal Identity - Who we believe we are and what we feel we are worth. It’s our thermostat.
What temperature am I at? Am I higher than my thermostat setting?
Hang out with people with higher thermostat settings than you!
    Progress and Proximity is Influence!!!!
Faith, Intention and Association - the triangle that elevates us
We like to be in control - when we self-sabotage, we can predict what’s going to happen and that gives us the illusion of self-growth
    1. Focus on the past - look in the rear-view window (NOT the Windshield) - if you look back in the past, you will repeat it - stop bringing the past with you
    2. Focus on what you don’t have - you get more of what you don’t have. That’s you cooling yourself down
    3. Compare yourself to others - but to the most filtered and highlighted version of someone else’s life! Don’t compare the mature relationship with the new one - it steals your joy
    4. Focus on what you can’t control - the media is a great example of something that takes your focus away - people, things or events you can’t control
    5. They get discouraged - the enemy, the Shaitan (LA) wants us to get a couple of let-downs and then we will self-sabotage the rest. Dis-couraged - replace that with more courage
    6. The get distracted - by social media, media, others, habits that don’t serve you - reduce your distractions or remove them
    7. They get a little bit of success and then they cool it - get some success and then stop it! A little bit of progress stops us progressing!
You want to get it back to where you were, as you have more control there.
YOU BELONG IN THE LIFE OF YOUR DREAMS!
You are not your thoughts - challenge your own thinking.
    PROGRESS IS POWER!
Focus on the Expansion of You!

I've listened to it a couple of times. I want to ensure this lesson always stays with me. I've found that out of the 7 symptoms mentioned, I catch myself sabotaging my efforts in 6 of them. The only way I avoid sabotaging myself is by not celebrating for too long. However, I've come to realize that not internalizing the wins could also be a form of self-sabotage. I used to believe I didn't deserve the win, so I'd keep moving forward without ensuring I acknowledged and internalized the success to boost my confidence. It's a very valuable lesson that I'll need to revisit in the future. Thank you, Ed.

And this platform that you have inspired and created and built is very, very loved and honored. And I thank you so much and to all of your fans out there. I'm giving you high five too. Because let's all stand up for each other and hold space another.

25:33 about the past was exactly what I needed today. Someone got me to talk about the past and share stories about the past today. I need to monitor my inner circle. Thank you.

For decades I felt controlled by the memories of my past. I also was living a life of lack and comparison because I believed that I was a weird person and felt that I was born that way. I am guilty of living a life of the 7 Symptoms of Sabotage.

"Fear not the things you don't know, improve your recognition of the ill-winds that blow, people of hate will discuss mistrust! you improving yourself will provoke their disgust, discomfort is a privilege for being on the right path! now lean into it if you want your future to last."

Terrific talk. I've been working on myself for 2 decades but I wouldn't have understood your talk until a few years ago. Now I am living it.👍❤️
