  • Islamorada scuba diving - why do we do it? Because it is never anything less than exceptional. The coral reefs just off the coast of Islamorada are home to a magnificent array of tropical fish which are always ready to pose for the camera. And what better way to find your way offshore to a variety of exceptional dive sites than to catch a ride with Islamorada Dive Center - one of the premier dive operations in the Florida Keys!
On this trip, Peter and I took a tour of two very popular Islamorada dive sites: "Roller Coaster" and "Hammer Head". Each of these sites is known for providing refuge for hogfish, groupers, queen angel fish, parrot fish, and the occasional reef or nurse shark.
One of the things I love most about Islamorada diving is the frequency of excellent visibility. It's common to find 40 to 60 feet of visibility on an "average" day of diving, and if you're lucky enough - you'll catch a few days where the conditions are even better than that. Do yourself a favor this fall - make time to go diving and enjoy the very best of Islamorada's home reefs in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.
Islamorada Dive Center is located on the grounds of the Post Card Inn - offering two trips daily to some of the best dive sites that Islamorada has to offer. Their full service shop is one of the best places in the Florida Keys to get your PADI Open Water Certification, or to pursue higher levels of training to improve your diving skillset. Check out all the shop has to offer on their website:

Thank you! If i'm diving shallower than 60ft, I use a GoPro Hero 10 with 6,000 lumen SUP LED lights on a custom tray. Hard to beat 4K 60 W on a Hero 10.

Footage looks really good. What camera, filters and lights are you using?

Most of my underwater footage is shot on a GoPro Hero 10 mounted on a frame with two SUPE 3000 lumen lights. We're fortunate to have very clear water here in the keys - so the more light - the better the colors!

@@BonaFideWorldGuide Do you have any problems with the 10 in terms of it shutting off while filming or any quality loss?

I'm not sure what you call a reef where you're from, but the reef footage starts at 5:25. Thanks for the constructive feedback?
