Hi to everyone here after Monaco 2021
youtube algorithm lol
Hello
lollll they know
UA-cam is one cruel son of a bitch ahah
A bit late but beter late then never....
UA-cam algorithm rubbing salt on Bottas's wound.
LOL
i was thinking the same thing... damn youtube why so savage?
🤣🤣
Mercedes-AMG wheel guns are made of exceptional tool steel. There is no equal when you want to machine the wheel nut smooth in a split second.
the moment we realise YT algorithm is smarter than we think O_O
Who else had this recommended after Monaco 2021 grand prix
Bruh I was about to comment the same thing 😂😂
Yes
What timing 😂
Yeah good thing he's not the right front wheel gun man lmao.
Yeah this video didn't age well
i got this recommendation right after when valtteri's front right wheel stuck at pit stop in Monaco GP 2021
same
The irony of this video
lol
Same 🤣
didn’t age too well
George Russel has left the chat...
Lmao
Pedro Mimoso hahaha but that was a miss communication
Lmfao!
And that was the other car...
@@Fury_Knights I mean he did say, "We get the call whether Lewis or Valtteri is coming in." So...
🤷
God tier algorithm brought me here after that DNF in Monaco.
"get a call over the radio to say either Valtteri or lewis is coming in"
*george crying*
George was only substituting for Hamilton, he will possibly be in Mercedes full time in the future.
@@skeleguns10oooooo10 nah the joke is that the radios failed during georges race so the crew didn't know who was coming in
@@tflLoTuS and a good joke too. But not for George!
George crying again
crying george is no more
Post Monaco 2021, the UA-cam algorithm strikes again.
Ferrari: so that’s how how they work...
Ferrari has 5 lugnuts on their wheel so it a little slower for them
@@robertjusic9097 do they have to get the locking wheel nut from the glove compartment too?
@@robertjusic9097 But why tho? Thats common in Nascar but not in F1
@@leo-yf9rw it was a yoke mate
Monaco 2021 lol
Someone send this to Ferrari
The new Master 🅱️ Plan
I was about to comment something among this, why did you have to put this before me :/
oh they are watching
Actually rumours say that Ferrari’s gun run slower to prevent damage to bolts (softer material), do they need a small bit more to spin
@@AlexanderPanzeri Sort of. The thread on the nut is not strong enough so it strips often. Also their pit crew is pretty new and filled with younger guys.
Anyone else have this recommended after today's events?
I received it today!
This was in my recommended the day of Monaco 2021...
RIP Bottas
Maybe Mercedes could make another video explaining how to put the correct tyres on the correct car?
Ouch, burn
@@MercedesAMGF1 LMAOOOOOOOOOO
Lol.
Everybody make mistakes, but c'mon this was embarassing
@@MercedesAMGF1 figures Verstappen would have something smart to say ☹️🙁
Thanks Mercedes for these insights. This brings F1 closer to us!
Our pleasure!
@@MercedesAMGF1 you guys rock....best team management right from garage to trolling and roasting in social media ....great job guys keep it up
@@MercedesAMGF1 Hey Mercedes
So true dude! I actually want a job in the f1 as a mechanic! And this helped a lot!
@@MercedesAMGF1 do you practice failure scenarios too? From the 50 practices mentioned during the video, how many are fails? Are they setup totally blind for the engineer or they know when it's coming?
Thanks!
Always wondering how they ended up to that job. Like MB scouts going every tire shop with stopwatch until "Toto.. we found the fastest tire gun guy in Germany"
you have to go through college/university as either mechanic or engineer after that still loads of steps to go to even get a chance
They say you are the fastest wheelgun in the west
*harmonica starts playing*
@@GmHomer right? they dont only do the pitstops. between races/practices they work on the car
I know someone that went to training camp to do this for NASCAR. He was recruited from a D3 football team. I cant imagine the qualifications needed for F1!
The algorithm showed this to me today... After that ludicrous display in Monaco.
What was Wenger thinking sending Walcott on that early?
The thing about Arsenal is, they always try to walk it in
why no vroom vroom sound from the gun😢
Tbh it would probably break the mechanics hand, that wheel gun is so powerful (3000Nm) that it can break someone's hand if its not torque'd on anything as far as I understand lol
@@sollar5188 yeah they are insanely powerful. They are also crazy loud so they probably didn't want to ruin the mic
@@sollar5188 wouldn’t less twisting force be exerted on the mechanics hands when the gun is free revving with no resistance rather than when its encountering resistance from tightening a nut?
@@quixotic6871 no, because there is nothing to take that force from the gun
@@sollar5188 No this is absolutely not the case.
I imagine the pressure in this job, you do a slight mistake and the whole race is ruled out , it can make a huge difference in the championship too. Hats off guys 👍
Yeah ofc I respect them that mistake in sakhir was a one off fo sho
Last race was a hugeee example
@@peppamintyy 100%
Aged like milk
and their arm strength those wheel guns aren't light at all
So you do 50 practice changes and still you screw Valtteris wheel change? Well done sir! Really well done! 👏
The engineers behind this tool are the ones who truly deserve praise. An absolutely beautiful and incredible feat by the men and women involved in the evolution of this project. Bravo!
Mercedes: How To Use A Wheel Gun
Red Bull: Has Entered The Chat
George Russel has left the chat.
I think red bull have the pitstops all figured out...
Edit:maybe that's what you meant
@@squeakybunny2776 The only team that can finish under two seconds? They’re crazy over there lol.
@@MoveTowardsTheLight Its all part of the Max Master Plan
@@felito21 Will love to see how that plan works out. Especially after Lewis hangs them up. Then it’s him (Max), George, Danny, Lando, and Leclerc (hopefully) fighting for chips with dip.
Love that you guys make these videos! It lets all of us at home see the nuances that go behind the scenes and appreciate the unsung heroes of the team as well!
Thanks for the kind words 😊
This is recomendded after monaco gp 2021...
I'm here after Monaco 2021. Wow, youtube, you know what's up!
congratulations Mercedes team this year was excellent 🤩🇧🇷
😊
Funny how i got this recommended after bottas' pitstop at monaco gp😂
UA-cam being so sneaky lol. Exactly after the machined nut episode.
Look what showed up as recommended. Perfect timing! Someone cross treaded that wheel nut when initially mounting the wheel.
Make more videos showing more of the cars technology!! Thanks!
Also explaining aerodynamics, engine, etc
We did do some explainers earlier in the year called Simple Science, explaining aero, engines, set-up etc! In case you haven't seen those! 😊
It’s just funny that the when Mercedes comment on these comments it gets more likes than the comments 😆🥶
@@MercedesAMGF1 could you do a Video on how you actually start the car?
@@SladesShitboxGarage I think theirs is the only engine that doesn't need external help. They were talking about exactly this during the last race.
@@nickgregory4617 it's so nice that someone from such a great F1 team spent some time to write back to the fans. We really appreciate it a lot, sir. We wish you fröhlich Weihnachten and a Happy New Year.
seb : ferrari wheel guns and nuts needs to be re engineered
Toto : lets help them shall we?
Woah! This is so cool and it’s nice to know more in depth information like this! I like the fact that you guys let us know pretty much how the team functions. It’s amazing how much effort you guys put in to be one with your community. Keep up the good work!
UA-cam's algorithm is so funny sometimes LOL
Always impressed by the coordination, efficiency and speed of the pit crew. Thanks for sharing this video. Best of luck in 2021.
This dude behind this channel seems really kind, answering a lot of comments❤️
So now the real question:
The guy in the video said, that he is the weel Mechanik of bottas (I forgot the name of the job he is doing lol) does he change the weeks for Hamilton too? Or does Hamilton have a other team?
Yep the crew are the same for both cars, the pit crew are made up of both VB and Lewis' side of the garage
@@MercedesAMGF1 thanks man.
@@MercedesAMGF1 thanx...i had the same question,
Why is this recommended to me after what happened to bottas at Monaco 2021😂🤭
I find it a bit suspicious for UA-cam algorithm to recommend this video today
Please do the radio system! like how do the drivers activate it, where is their mic, how does it work on the pit side?
Push button on wheel. They talk the mic in the helmet pics up the feed and relay's it to the race engineer and pit wall. Use common sense.
Nice try Ferrari
But apparently It doesn’t work thoigh

Why dont you give some new wheel guns to Ferrari.
That joke didn't work out
Amazing Christmas present
@@funkyburns3606 even mclaren gifted them:- Carlos Sainz Jr.
They got spares to spare the poor red team

It is very fascinating to see these types of videos. thanks guys 😍
Informational video, Mercedes should see this!!
Anyone after MONACO race where they didn't get off BOTTAS'S tyre.
Hey Mercedes, now DAS is banned can we get an EXPLAINED for that?
Show me your mechanism!
Love these videos, thanks!
Thanks for your good work and entertainment in these days. Hard work pays off 🤝 congratulations to your 7th title🥳

Awesome video Mercedes thank you from all the F1 community I’m sure... I’d love to hear/see more about the gun itself. I love building cars myself and have some pretty cool tools but damn 😳 that thing looks IMPRESSIVE 🖤
Aaron after he's done be like "peet stop"
Anyone here after bottas’ pit-stop in Monaco?
I love your channel. Easily the best of the F1 teams because you're actually showing some pretty cool engineering instead of just a sleek ad.
Always wondered what type of guns you use!!! Thanks for the vid!
On my recommendations after the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix, UA-cam is wild!!!
Ironic that this appeared at recommendations after Bottas’s tyre at monaco 2021
Mercedes always provides the insights and information we need
I wonder how many other teams watch these insights about Mercedes and take notes. Loved the steering wheel segment!!!
Hey Mercedes please keep the livery black for next season! 🙏🏾
We love you guys🙏🔥
Wow, just when I commented about pit stops on FB when you asked for questions!
Guys, you're doing an AMAZING job, but I've been thinking for couple of weeks that you could improve on pit stops, since I believe you and myself are perfectionists...
Just saying, had this thought for some time now, even before Sakhir GP.
By that, I mean speeeeeeed 😁
I initially thought they made this video after Monaco 2021 and I wondered why they filmed the left mechanical engineer and not the one doing the right side. I also thought how brave they were for putting such a video after Monaco, but then I saw Mercedes’ comment. 😩😂 Hi Mercedes! 🙋🏽♀️ Hope the wheel’s off now. 😅
UA-cam recommended this to me. Savage UA-cam...
Very interesting!
Longer format please. I find pit crews very interesting. They're stars too. I would like to learn more details about a F1 pit stop and the crew. Thanks congratulations on a great season. Be safe and OneLove
Funny this popped up in my feed today after Mercedes pit stop fail at Monaco this morning
"Super gun 3" sounds like a vibrator name
Hilarious timing on this recommendation
This is one of the exciting parts of a race... so much pressure and so fast, you only have to look at other forms of motorsport to see how good this is :)
'the gun operates by pulling the trigger'... This just made my day :)
Mercedes Is trying to teach Ferrari how to improve, awesome. ( Yes as a Ferrari fan i'm crying )
Admin, when will we get the Toto content AKA race debrief xd
Race Debrief will be tomorrow!
@@MercedesAMGF1 Okayyy thank you!
@@MercedesAMGF1 what about the year debrief with toto and the drivera
Well explain it to your pit crew operators how to set it on the correct torque moment. Could come in handy in a pitstop during the Monaco '21 race perhaps.
One thing I love about F1 is how everything is just engineered or thought-out to a (seemingly) ridiculous level. In this case, the impact wrench - they've taken something so basically simple, and made it into something that looks like NASA designed it to work on spaceships. I love that. =) I can't stop talking to guys at work about all the teensy little things in F1 that get tons of thought and attention, like I'll mention, "Do you know, at this point they are literally concerned about the aerodynamics of the damn WHEEL NUTS", and everyone just kind of wanders off, shaking their heads....
I love how this video got recommended to me the day after Bottas's DNF in Monaco
God tier engineers at google engineer this amazing algorithm that brings all F1 fans this video after Monaco this past weekend, amazing😂
Always wondered how many screws are there, and how the gun works , like is it removing 2+ screws simeltaniously. This made me clear 🤗☺️♥️
Great video. Is there any video on how the gun works, a more in-depth explanation of the tech stuff?
Ferrari: WRITE THAT DOWN, WRITE THAT DOWN!!!
well that explains the wheel gun man's job, now a nice technical breakdown of the actual wheel gun and it's components would be nice.
I actually thought that when not racing the wheels get torqued manually, but it does make a ton of sense to engineer parts outright that just work perfectly together each and every time, so you can just use them whenever you want; if racing or not and thereby if it has to work quickly and not..
Mercedes is going way ahead in F1 world, a great combination of science and sophistication 🥇
I'm a RBR fan but I'm subbed to you'll cuz great content and no one deservs hate
The amount of hard work and dedication... 👏🏻
This video was in my recommended list after Monaco 2021 :D
I love it that Mercedes does these 👍
Who’s here after botas’s wheel went nuts !!! Literally nuts 🔩
suggested after pitstop fail in Monaco :3 haha
Good timing by the algorithm in recommending us this video now👍🏽
My dream is to work with these guys! they're so talented and smart people!
Who else got recommended this after Monaco 2021?
Who’s here trying to figure out what happened to Bottas’s wheel gun in the ‘21 Monaco GP?
nice, reminds me of your last double pitstop strategy.
Soooooo all the teams have the electronic switch for the lights and yet they are complaining about Red Bulls pit stops lmfao what a joke
The only area where you need to improve from Redbull
The one thing about Formula 1 I'll never fully understand, but still thanks for the video, great season by the way 👍🏽👍🏽
I love that this came up after the Monaco gp
Hahaha Mercedes team need to look this back
weird timing for this recommendation
This only makes a difference in the double stacking of Mercedes and Ferrari totally different
Hats off to you guys
You should have a pokayoke system or visual reference (ie wheel rims in diferent colours from one car and other) so you could easily avoid the problem you had with GR63 and VB77.
yeah im on the podium in views
