Clever! I did something similar, but not on purpose. I registered for an IBJJF tournament through a 10th Planet friend (my gym wasn’t registered or something). All my opponents said they were focused on avoiding my leg game - which is not great, by the way.
It seems like Josh was letting those losses go to his head, my only advice to him is just relax and enjoy the journey, you got so many more of those to experience lol. As do I my friend.

I mean he is a white belt, not a blue or a brown belt making a questionable throw, a bloody white belt. Are any of the haters gonna stand there and claim that white belts in their gym that they have no problem with are making questionable throws. The same reason you have to be careful with a white belt because they don't know how to break a fall, is the same reason that a white belt isn't going to have the technique, awareness to not make questionable throws from time to time. Did his anger have an impact on his judgement perhaps being off on that throw, likely, but tell me how many questionable actions happen at every single ADCC because one or both fighters get angry. I mean half the bloody people from some schools are angry before they even step on the matts. Josh shouldn't be proud of that throw, but he certainly shouldn't dwell on it for longer then it takes to consider how he might do something different next time, and ignore the hate, which half the time has nothing to do with his game on the matt... that is pretty clear as well....
