  • Hi Everyone!
While I was Out Trainspotting at Watford Junction, While I was going home, I caught some more of the Ex-London Overground 317/7's. I found this interesting as they have the triangle style lights. (some of them though)
Here is some history on the class 317.
the class 317 has been in service since 1983 and is a BR Second Generation (mark 3) and were constructed by BREL or British Rail Engineering limited at Holgate Road Carriage Works and Derby Litchurch Lane. A total of 72 train sets were built. These trains replaced The Class 127,Class 302, class 310 and the Class 312. Refurbishment would not occur until 2013 to 2015 (Greater Anglia) and 2015 to 2018 (London Overground). The trains weigh 137.3 Tonnes or 138.18 Tonnes and have a max power output of 746Kw or 1,000 hp. They have a top speed of 100mph.
    Thanks for Watching!

@@UKTransport232 Also bearing in mind this unit was Refurbished to replace the 322's on the Stansted Express Service between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street. As for the 322's some were transferred to First North Western to operate their short lived Express service out of London Euston to Manchester I believe. Class 309's also worked this service as well. Also, at least I caught it before it went for scrap. Also I caught 732 at Brentwood with 321307.
