I've had mine hooked up for a little over a month without any problems until 8/24/24 when it disconnected from my WiFi and refuses to reconnect. I have tried reaching out to customer service, in fact I'm on hold with them going on an hour now. I would like my product to work as advertised.
I purchased the Sensi lite for my client and looking back now, it was a bad decision. First off, this was installed in a 2 wire setup (older) home without the use of a c-wire. I've read from various sources that c-wire is not necessary with this model but, my experience with it proves otherwise. The display will not remain lit and in order to see current temperature, you need to touch the screen. The Sensi app constantly complains about not having c-wire installed. Finally the most annoying issue is that the thermostat will not maintain a constant connection to wifi. Will the addition of a c-wire connection fix the dropped wifi or is it to far from the router. Who knows.
do not buy. Spend $10 more and get the regular sensi smart thermostat!!!! They show the one you want at 1:38 . Get that one and thank me later. I have tried 3 of these so far and every time I get "provisional error" when I tried to set it up on wifi. 3 different routers, 2 different phones (android and apple), all of them I get an error. The apple does not say provisional error but it fails to set it up and I forget the exact error. Could I open ports in the router and stand on my head to get these to work? Might these work right out of the box for some depending on your phone and router combo? Maybe.... but time is money and the regular sensi smart thermostats work every time. A 80 year old customer is not going to go through hoops to get thermostat connected, they need to just work out of the box or its a no go. I ended up just throwing the 3 I got into the trash. I got them for free as a trial anyway and I wont be using any more of them. If anybody from emserson is listening..... there is some kind of software issue with these you need to sort out.

UPDATE: I eventually added a 3rd wire (c-wire) to the system, and the Sensi lite has been operating without issue. No app errors and no wifi drops.
How does one remove the back panel from this device? Mine is stuck on and I can't get it off.
Can you turn off the "auto dim" of the current temperature?

No instructions. Not compatible with most systems once you do the research online!
