Thank God Christianity is not a works based thing but a relationship. It would have been super tiring and endless...what a miserable life it would have been. We do good things because we love Him. This is a powerful video.
A works based salvation would be not too tiring and endless, but too easy and finite. What would relieve me more, than for God to say, "Go to Church on sundays, pray the rosary every day, and give a tenth of your earnings to the Church." But Jesus did not say as much, He only said "be ye perfect, as your Father in Heaven is perfect." We will never achieve that perfection in this earthly life, though we have been commanded to strive for it. The degree to which we do, is achieved only by surrender to His will, not by desire to be rid of works like we rid ourselves of chores.
@@Digganob590 You are right actually. For some people, they excel at works and thus self righteouseness. For some, they end up torturing themselves and seeing themselves as failures if they somehow couldn't match up to the endless laws. We know the old testament had endless rules and laws to be followed in layers. Majority couldn't keep up because God's standard of honour and purity can never be matched by man in his imperfect state. What if each day it wasn't just to go to church and pray your rosary? what if in the day you needed to 'pray ceaslessly', wash yourself ten times, fast for half the day, avoid touching x,y,z, eating, x,y,z, saying a,b,c, must preach the gospel to at least 10 people, and etc all in 24 hours? Only the most skilled 'at laws and work' can manage. I won't manage for sure...that is why works based Christianity is a vicious cycle cos you can't do enough and at the same time you feel you can and are guaranteed heaven proudly. Thank God for Jesus...I would have been miserable.
@ Even those laws would be a pittance compared to the demands placed on us by our Lord. Love my enemy? I can hardly love my own family, or even myself. But we are demanded to be perfect, and so must try. But it is not by the standard of success in that regard by which we are judged. But the degree to which submit ourselves instead to our Father, which results in those fruits, in a manner which cannot be judged by man. Theoretically, man who really does accomplish this faith, hope, and love in the Lord would achieve a life comparable to that of Christ. And there have been a graceful few who, by God, have, though still infinitely far from Him. But it is not that accomplishment which saved them, but that which works in that accomplishment. What they have given to God, merely in trying, with faith, to pursue those accomplishments. Whether God gives us the grace time succeed in our works is up to Him. For our sakes, He has left many of the saved impotent, thwarted, and wretched to their last day. All to keep alive what is at the root of their efforts. Faith in Him. To kill the pride that is tempted by success, God can and has thwarted the most well-intending champions. Yet, He commands us press on, and die to serve Him, even if He does not permit us to succeed in that effort. My point in all this isn't to correct you, or to teach you definitive doctrine, though I do believe it as a Catholic. But to share my thoughts on works, as they have come to me. That works are not a tool to gain God's favor, and thus purchase salvation. But a serious effort to do those works commanded is necessary, as impotent and unlikely to succeed as we are. So to separate works from faith is like to separating sacrifice from marriage. It is a separation between the Holy Spirit, from Christ, for it is a rejection of the Spirit, who would work in us, if we would but keep faith in Christ.

People often get scared by this verse but it should give us either reassurance or reflection, it says a frw verses later that only those who do the will of my Father can enter heaven, John 6:40 tells us what the will of the Father is, and that is to believe on the Son, Jesus Christ, believing on Him means to accept the GIFT that Jesus grants us by Him shedding His blood on the cross for us, so stoked i get to see you in Heaven Joe!! @@joerauth_ this video is entertaining but totally misses the mark as @stevenserna2429 politely points out. To you JOE, what does "Surrender yourself" mean? @@JoinUsInVR Matthew 7:21-23 is referring to self-righteous people who believe they are good enough to enter heaven based on their good works. They haven’t believed in Jesus and so they are still in their sins and are condemned.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” -Ephesians 2:8-9
Verse 10 does not negate verse 8-9. Works play no part in salvation, only discipleship after we are born again, by grace through faith. Salvation cannot be lost. This is the truth Jesus would want us all to know today 🎉🙏 Trust the Gospel (good news), 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins, past, present, and future. He died, was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures. Today is the day of salvation, trust Jesus finished work alone today. We are born again and saved the moment we believe and salvation cannot be lost, you cannot be unborn. We never trust works of discipleship to save us. God bless you ❤️
@ the Bible only says faith alone in one verse. Let's see that verse 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder. 20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[a]? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”[b] and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. 25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. Ergo, if you do not have works, your faith cannot save you, and thus works DO have a role in salvation. We cannot work our way to Heaven (which is the heresy of pelagianism), but to say works has 0 role in salvation is the heresy of sola fide. Also, if salvation cannot be lost, yet we are saved by grace, what does it mean to be fallen from grace? What about those who apostasize and become Muslim? Would you say that they're saved too? I'll tell you one thing, your position certainly was not held by the early Church. Do you want to know what St Ignatius of Antioch (a student of John the disciple) said? “Be pleasing to him whose soldiers you are, and whose pay you receive. May none of you be found to be a deserter. Let your baptism be your armament, your faith your helmet, your love your spear, your endurance your full suit of armor. Let your works be as your deposited withholdings, so that you may receive the back-pay which has accrued to you” (Letter to Polycarp 6:2 [A.D. 110]). The idea that salvation cannot (OSAS/eternal security) be lost is a completely novel idea that only began in the mid 17th century with the Baptist schism. The other form of belief that salvation cannot be lost is called "perseverance of the saints", and it makes much more theological sense than OSAS/eternal security does, however it's still not exactly right, and John Calvin formulatized it in the 15/16th century, though it has earlier thought/inspiration from St Augustine of Hippo, who taught something similar, but did not teach that salvation was universally unlosable for all. Augustine only taught that salvation was unlosable for the elect (those that God predestines for Heaven).
We also have to accept it, one cannot be saved against one’s will. We also have to “go and sin no more.” At the end of the day I’m with you though. Lord Jesus Christ Have Mercy on Me a Sinner!
@@sclg560 go and sin no more because sin has consequences and there will be chastisement for believers who sin, yet, they’ll still go to heaven regardless.

Absolutely loved this one Joe, and the fact that you’re becoming more intentional about using your influence to share the gospel. You have carefully built up a following of especially young men that feel represented by you, and this is such an awesome way to share with them the hope we have!
Honestly, faith or no faith, one thing everybody should do-even as a common courtesy-is stand by their fellow person. If someone needs help, do what you can. If you’re unsure of what to do, ask what helps. Don’t make enemies out of people for being different from you; those who help in good faith regardless of difference are the real heroes in society. That’s how we’re going to truly be great again; that’s where strength comes from. Hate has no place in the hearts of those that matter, and everyone matters. All of YOU matter.

@@thefilmwatcher1302 super good my man. The point i'm trying to get across is just to do those things for the glory of God and for the good of others, not to be good enough to get saved by being good, cause we can never be good enough to be perfect, cause we all sin/have sinned. So the only way to get saved is to ultimately trust (for salvation) in Jesus' finished work on the cross, where He paid 100% of every sin ever. Once you are saved, you can never lose you salvation, as stated in John 10:28 and John 4:13-14. Read Romans 3:23-25 for any doubts. Love you man, hope you accept God's gift of salvation by trusting Jesus' sacrifice as what gets you into heaven only, and not trust in you relationship with Him or your own works. Sorry if i repeat myself too much, but this is too important. God bless, see ya up there🙏✝️❤️
@axxel9626 It’s alright that you repeat yourself; I admire that you only preach instead of enforcing your views. I do believe in the afterlife, so I can tell you I’ll definitely see you over there. ❤️

As a Muslim who clicked on this video in the recommendations, I totally love the message and vibe of the video. Believing in God, doing good deeds, being kind to all regardless of anything and spreading love and peace everywhere are absolutely the way to go. Thank you for uploading such a meaningful video. Hope y'all have a great week. Much love to my Christian brothers ❤
Believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God who should come into the world and that he gives you eternal life. Once you believe that you are saved and cannot lose salvation; God loves you unconditionally and made salvation a free gift all by his grace❤
To be saved from eternal separation from God, u have to have a personal relationship with Jesus & understanding that because He paid the sin debt on the cross we only have to believe in Him to receive eternal life & be with Him forever. Good works do not pay our sin debt, Jesus already did & believing in Him is the only way to Heaven!
amen. works will come naturally as the fruit of salvation, but are not what saves you. salvation is a free gift of grace, not of works, but by Christs love for us💓💓
Amen. Gospel can't be added or subtracted, it simply stands alone as it is. That's why it is the GOOD NEWS. Too many people are led astray due to work salvation, ESPECIALLY Calvinism, where it is double-minded.
Thank you for this Video Joe, It found me at the right time. I was a bit hard on myself that I couldn’t make it to church today but no matter how good I am, or how many times I go to church, it will never save, the only thing that saves me, Is The Lord Jesus Christ and his Work on the cross, I don’t deserve heaven but I am going there because Of Christ Jesus our lord and it’s only because of him. I am redeemed by his blood on the cross, He is my strength, my song and My salvation. The way to heaven is narrow not cause of all the stuff you have to do but it’s because there’s one way and That One way, Is Jesus Christ. Amen
Bro I literally used to pay attention to my works and look for that evidence after being saved. I surrendered myself to Christ again after I truly realized and understood the gospel. I am filthy no matter how good I can be. The gift of salvation is free and now I’m seen as righteous in Gods eyes. What a great day.
It’s not the easiest thing being open about faith in today’s society because everything regarding sin and temporary pleasures have been normalized, but that’s exactly why we have to do it. Loved this, in Jesus name 🙏🏼❤️
Damn this really spoke to me man, literally saw the bible verse and it sent chills down my spine, like imagine Jesus saying to you on the last day “depart from me for i never knew you” damn! well gotta build an intimate relationship with God
Yes, you should work more to have a more intimate relationship with God, but remember that that's not saving you. What saves you is trusting that Jesus paid for your sins. Not having a relationship with God is not the reason they got rejected.
@@HSA954 True, but remember that the one you are trusting is God. If one can trust loved ones, one can trust God. He has kept every promise he has made, and he will keep the one to save those who trust in him. I guess what I mean is if someone prays a lot, or reads the bible a lot, but never actually begins to trust in Jesus, then all they did was worthless, meanwhile one can not know God much at all, or even know about stuff like the trinity, but if they still trust in Jesus to take the punishment, they will go to heaven. "But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness." Romans 4:5 There are many examples of people in the bible not per say having a relationship with God and still being saved.
Read the context in the Bible; how He’s talking about false prophets. I found a lot of people like to disregard the context and use the verse to claim that works are what you need to be saved. No amount of good you do will save you. Ephesians 2:8 But yes, seeking a relationship with Him is great! Read the Word and pray 🫶
God bless Joe! This is on point, I myself am not a devout Christian, heck I wouldn't even call myself a Christian because I have been skipping church for years, but I do see some Christians always boast about them doing "good things" even though in reality it doesn't come from their heart, they also act like they are the ones that is most worthy of salvation amongst their peers. This is wrong and I think genuinely good people that preach God's greatness from heart doesn't boast or think about how good they themselves are, that is called narcissism and is far from the "doing God's work". Real Christians know that no matter how many "good things" they do, humans are too far gone to be worthy of salvation by themselves. Salvation is God's grace towards humanity. Real Christians only do good things in a way to be grateful for the gift that God has given them.
Amen bro! This is the scripture that truly woke me up. Thanks be to God! Jesus is the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through him!
It so inspiring to see people use their platforms for Christ, as you have done and I pray will continue to do. I know we all have felt some hesitation or even fear in deciding to be outspoken about our faith. We are cheering you on and are so proud of what you're doing for the Kingdom!
His righteousness is Our Righteousness…only from our father are we given these blessings, without Him we our nothing but filthy rags. Praise God for what he’s done on that cross. Amen
Yessir, All Glory to God. This is great. John 15 says that apart from Jesus, we cant produce good fruit. Any of our works or actions from ourselves have no value, but when we are in Christ, we are connected to the source of life who vitalizes us and what we do. Keep living for Christ, seek His kingdom and righteousness, and all else will follow. It all starts with Jesus at the center and surrendering our life to Him and receiving His grace
0:51 you should keep your Good works to yourself, and check your heart to see if they are selfless or selfish Good works, because if they are selfish you have got to Repent and go back to Jesus!
"For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." The verse right after that, Ephesians 2:10 Context is important. Ephesians 2:8 is a verse often used to mislead people into believing that faith alone will save them. No! You must act upon your faith. Acting upon it won't save you; that's still the grace of God, but as Christ says, we will be judged according to our deeds/works.
@@orlmagicfan4life528 Verse 10 does not go against faith alone. That is simply saying that God prepared for us Good deeds to do, which we believers will do out of love, not out of need.

Spiritual growth and trusting God more doesn’t lead to wealth. In fact, Jesus himself told people to sell all they had and give to the poor. Gloryyyyy to God!❤
BINGO! You got it!!
Someone who finally got it right. Damn it is tiring to write a whole paragraph in every vid about this😂❤
@@joerauth_ this video is entertaining but totally misses the mark as @stevenserna2429 politely points out. To you JOE, what does "Surrender yourself" mean? Matthew 7:21 says "You who practice lawlessness" And in the video, the guy isn't demonstrating sin. Or did I miss it? Please enlighten me!
And if I may, let me challenge you. If you die tonight, what would you say to God if He said "Why should I let you into heaven?"
After you answer that, tell me where in the video it mentions that. Maybe I missed it. God gave you valuable talent and a large audience. He's going to expect more from you! A better title like "Matthew 7:21 vs 26:28" would have at least gotten folks closer.
I apologize for putting you in the spot, but I want to make sure I meet YOU in heaven, and hopefully more of your viewers too. God bless 💜✝️💜
@@JoinUsInVR Matthew 7:21-23 is referring to self-righteous people who believe they are good enough to enter heaven based on their good works. They haven’t believed in Jesus and so they are still in their sins and are condemned.
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
-Ephesians 2:8-9
Facts
Always include verse 10
@@ArashiNoSeito yes good one as well
Verse 10 does not negate verse 8-9.
Let's see that verse
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.

Pls listen! Read John 6:40, it says that the will of the Father is believing in His son and whosoever does that will be saved forever!

@axxel9626 I’m not Catholic myself, friend; I just believe in doing good things for others because I know it’s right.

Matthew 5:48:
“Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” A tall order indeed!

amen. works will come naturally as the fruit of salvation, but are not what saves you. salvation is a free gift of grace, not of works, but by Christs love for us💓💓
Not all saved people will produce works and some don’t but they’re still saved. Works should be done after a person gets saved but it’s optional.
“Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.”
James 2:17
@kraftyval2162 Faith without works is dead.

This is coinciding with me starting to go to church again. Very encouraging.

Amen

You can only trust someone that you know well and not as a stranger. To know someone well you have to have a close relationship.
Joe, can't even tell you how much I appreciate this type of content from you. Keep working for the Lord and keep being virtuous enough to post these

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,”
Ephesians 2:8
"For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." The verse right after that, Ephesians 2:10
Context is important.
@RussellW-i8r it may not in entirety, but simply adding on James 2 does. Anyhow, many of these "ideologies" really require you to read the ENTIRE bible. Everything isn't as clear cut as John 3:16 is

Spiritual growth and trusting God more doesn’t lead to wealth. In fact, Jesus himself told people to sell all they had and give to the poor.
