Very close, but John did the bluesy note “bends” in the beginning. George Martin didn’t like the 2 guitars “fighting” each other during Paul’s lead vocal parts, so he “pulled” George’s guitar out of the 1st half of the song (you can still hear the ‘bleed through’ on the right channel) and boosted John’s guitar in the left channel. After John’s guitar solo is done, he “pulled” John’s guitar out of the mix and boosted George’s guitar in the left channel (bleedthrough on John’s guitar is heard on right channel). On The Beatles’ “Rock ‘n’ Roll album, you can hear John at the end of the song whisper, “I screwed it up!”, indicative of the way he “slid” into the ninth chord, further up on the guitar neck.
I know this video is a bit old, but please, some hero answer me with the tabs that johnn lennon makes (that is, the top guitar that has rickenbacker written on the top or the one that plays the first guitar) in it time 0:33 until 0:50 that is when he finishes his mini solo
Wow. Every note is there and played very well. But COME ON GUYS!!! Pour your guts out with rock and roll energy!!! Those soloes (especially the second one!!!) those octave notes must pierce one’s ears, and make us want to dance rock and roll and feel elated and !!! And come on!!! Please .... That ending !!! The last chord ! Play it as if you mean it !!! Please don’t get me wrong. Your are a very good band and I appreciate your videos a great deal., and I thank you.
I love John Lennon's lead guitar solo from 0:33 to 0:50.

I'm 61, and I dig it, but this was more my dad's thang. He was nuts about anything boogie-woogie. Great licks! Thanks! :)
Gotta love that lo-fi thwackety-thwack guitar sound. Love your vids, guys . . keep it up.
Fantastic, Andrew. Many thanks for this.

John plays the first guitar solo?
Lucas Diaz yea he does
Yes, he does. Just to show how excellent lead guitarist John Lennon is.
Ye
Yes
Live he does. But if you listen to the stereo mix the same guitar plays both solos. George has to have played both solos in the studio then
You are great!
I used to believe that both solos were done by George
Jürgen Kraise yea on the record. although john does the first solo live
I tried playing this song and let me say stretching your pointer and pinky is tough..
