- In this episode I share a life update explaining my absence on this channel. My mother passed away on the 21/10/22 after a long battle with breast cancer.
Eight years ago, I decided to build my dream life, to work for myself, live in a tiny home and spend more time doing things I enjoy with those I love.
Downsizing into a recycled caravan Tiny House reduced my financial obligations and accelerated my career as a family & wedding portrait photographer.
I’ve lived this lifestyle for the past 5 years on the east coast of Australia, living alone on private land with my two dogs Edge & Luna.

That was a beautiful tribute to your mum. My mom also passed away from cancer 15 years ago. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her. It’s not something you ever get over, you simply learn over time to live with it. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I understand how hard it is. Keep making your videos, and remember that your mum would never want you to slow your progress over grief. None of us are here long, and life is for living to the fullest. Your channel has come a long way these last couple years. She must have been very proud. 🙏🏼

Hello Amie ,
Fantastic tribute to your mum. As you know my mum passed last year on Valentine's day. Now almost a year later, I think about her daily and know that she is still watching over me. Everytime I cook one of her recipes for me and my dad or for friends I remember the love she had for cooking and the lessons she taught me. Everytime I get sad and the tears start to fall I remember that my mum no longer suffers and feels no pain and I share a memory of my Mom with my dad or a friend or even my cat and I always end up getting a smile. No it hasn't gotten easier, it just got a little easier to live with. You are a great person and are showing the world a way of a different lifestyle and have made it thru a lot of hard times. Fight on, keep smiling and stay that beautiful you. Your mum will always be a simple thought away.
