    That is so pretty!
    TV's have come a long ways since I was a little girl. I remember my parents getting a console tv and they would have us kids turn the chanel for them. That was the old time remote control. 😂 My boys laugh at me when I tell them about it. 😂
    Your tv is beautiful!

    It looks absolutely perfect. Elegant. Discreet. Toned down. Classic. Well done. So interesting to hear the prices. Still have a box television in South Africa. Not sure if that counts as vintage or retro! Lol!

    Talk about timing! I purchased one of those overpriced frames for my Frame TV and don’t care for the finish (too yellow). I had decided just this morning to return it and either get a different style or see if my husband could make one, and then you posted your video! I am definitely going to return it and DIY a frame. And I love your finish! I also like the trim you added to the inside of your frame, it really takes it to the next level.
    Regarding the sensor, the frame I purchased is routered out on the bottom piece to accommodate it. I noticed someone else suggested that solution, as well.
    Thank you for all your wonderful ideas and your “can-do” attitude. You’ve given me confidence to tackle many DIY projects in my home.

    I just bought the 2022 model, there’s a setting that automatically turns down the brightness in low/ambient light, not sure if that is with other models. Also when there is pitch black, as if tv is the only source and it’s in art mode it will turn off automatically which is another setting. I mean you can’t see a painting anyway in pitch black. The 2022 is the way to go if you really want the TV to be a piece of art, thinner, and the screen is matte, no reflection at all.

    How could you possibly feel insecure about this diy?! 😍😍 This looks absolutely gorgeous!!! You guys did a beautiful job! I just bought a frame tv and couldn’t bear the idea of purchasing a $400 frame after already spending so much on the tv! So thank you so much for the inspo Sarah!

    Beautiful! I think it was a good idea to add the extra piece of trim. It made the box frame look like a fancy, picture frame instead. 👏

    I’m so glad you made this video! I’m getting ready to buy a frame tv. I was surprised at how expensive the frames were and was wondering if it would be possible to make one. Yours look awesome! So now I’m gonna go for it! Thanks again😊

    Love this I'm so glad to see this done I forgot to mention I'm new to your channel so I've been binging your videos but in one of your videos on the things that our husbands want to keep that we sometimes dislike like they're recliners and they're huge TVs I mentioned that I wanted to get one of these TVs and I felt that when I purchased one there's no reason why I cannot build a frame and seeing you do this just upsets my confidence level of knowing that I can do this so it looks beautiful and that is the exact kind of finish that I'm wanting to do I love that finish on frames for artwork well done thanks for sharing love your channel by the way👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💛

    Would love to see a few videos on CottageCore decorating. It seems everyone in UA-cam land that promoted farmhouse styles is now throwing a few pieces of color in and calling it CottageCore. I feel cheated. I remember an episode of yours that seemed to truly give a few examples of what I'm looking for in CottageCore.

      Laura, we have kind of the same problem. We have plaster and lath downstairs and directly behind it is the brick chimney over the mantle. That is one of the reasons we have been so hesitant to hang a frame TV up over the mantle. My husband suggested building a bump out over it to hide the electronics. We will see!

    Do you have a router that can carve a little hole into the inside of the frame to slide the sensor into? I like the idea of the frame art TV too.

  • @tls0501
    @tls0501 3 роки тому

    I’m curious, doesn’t the frame cover the sensor? Love your videos!

    • @SheHoldsDearly
      @SheHoldsDearly  3 роки тому +2

      The sensor hangs down below the TV and picks up signals in 360 degrees, so the frame is only blocking the front edge of the sensor. It hasn’t caused us any problems.

  • @DIY_Dad_83

    Just curious if a frame like the one you made could work on a standard flat-screen TV. I won't be spending even $800 on another TV, especially since it has to be on all the time.

    Do you change the picture at all so that it won't burn onto the plasma TV? How have you overcome that? My husband would not allow me to do that unless I can assure him it wouldn't burn onto the screen 😂

    • @SheHoldsDearly
      @SheHoldsDearly  3 роки тому +2

      My husband said the same thing! Here is what Samsung has to say about that-
      "The Frame is designed to withstand prolong display of art and photos. Therefore the panels used in The Frame are not prone to screen burn out issues as other TVs”
      We haven’t had any trouble with it, also when no one is in the room, they art goes away.

    • @bobnims6708
      @bobnims6708 3 роки тому +1

      It has a single cord that passes through the wall to a controller. It's nice because all your wires connect to the single controller.

    • @SheHoldsDearly
      @SheHoldsDearly  3 роки тому +3

      We drilled a little hole in the wall behind the tv and then another one down behind the dresser. Then, we threaded it into the wall and back out at the bottom to plug it in!👏👏👏
