I don’t understand why professional pianists make this mistake of playing a piece way too fast. He clearly understands the emotional flow of the song and knows how to play expressively, and yet he plays it too fast for anyone else to go on that journey with him.
I'm currently learning this piece I'm on page 4 of 6 and the tempo this guy is playing this piece at, with all the dynamics, and control is super impressive. Furthermore I personally like playing this piece at faster speeds and personally think it sounds better
Puede que la interpretación sea más rápida de lo normal para mi gusto , pero viendo la interpretación del tema por parte del pianista, es una verdadera joya , el sentimiento y la intención que le da a la pieza me pone los pelos de punta .
Speed didn't bother me I thought it was fantastic. I also thought he looks amazing and I beleive that he was feeling it and not faking those ludicrous movements that young pianists seem do that makes me hate the modern world of classical music. Anyways, bravo mate, i thought you made it your own.
Ha ... y’all griping about “too fast” should get a grip. Incredible performance. It’s like saying Gould played Bach too fast. It’s freaking awesome ... that’s what this is.
uhmmm this almost sounds like someone has speed it up digitally. I don't mean it as a compliment, I really think the uploader has digitally altered this.
i don't know, seriously. I hear a ton of audio-artifacts, and either it's due to compression from acceleration, or because source-upload conflicts: youtube has a quality cap of 192 Kbps audiotracks after all.
Como ejecutor de una pieza de piano eres genia! Pero te has olvidado de los silencios... Para Mozart y Beethoven quizás debás pensar en competir, pero para debussy, no es necesario...
2:25 That emotions...! fantastique !!!
He plays with equal parts power and grace. Love this interpretation, it is an adventure for my ears :)
So expressive and awesome, bravo!!
perfect. beautiful. bravo!!
Thx🙏🏻
i just LOVE that wrist flick at 2:22
Amazing, love your interpretation!
Absolutely wonderful! I like how he can often make the piano sound something like a harpsichord -- exactly right for this music.
first time i've actually laughed at a comment lol
@@crashandburn2267 same lol
Love it cuz it is fast
I actually love the somewhat faster tempo, as well as the enthralling dynamics... just awesome
Me too
reminds me of a toccata
Superb! I wish I could play the same, even once...

why so fast?
As a tribute to Alexis Weissenberg
Giuseppe Albanese but just a bit faster than Weisenberg, yes? I agree Alexis Weissenberg merits a tribute when it comes to his Debussy!
And why not ?
Right? Allegretto ma NON troppo!
Maybe: befassen he can
And ist fun?
Wonderfull! Like a toccata!
Except it's not.
Play it at .75 speed. If it wasn't for the playback slur, that's a better sound.
Very impressive playing, but aesthetically too fast just IMHO.

I now know this piece of by heart. Will post to my Instagram account soon. @Soundsound365
bravooooooooooooo
Florin Matasaru grazieeeeeeee 😁

very good interpretation
It is fast and more bright than I knew other versions but I like his way that cheering himself...😣I think!
wooooooooooooooooooww
If Debussy could have played as well, he would have played it like this!
😁
way to fast in opinion
*my
*too
Too fast! Why???
Speed didn't bother me I thought it was fantastic. I also thought he looks amazing and I beleive that he was feeling it and not faking those ludicrous movements that young pianists seem do that makes me hate the modern world of classical music. Anyways, bravo mate, i thought you made it your own.
I Love😍😍
I think the left hand is to loud, caused by the high speed. If the left hand's volume is proper, I think the speed is also good.
I think this piece should be played even faster. It heightens the drama and brings out the epic nature of the piece.
Good Tempo!
This is Usain Bolt going past
Breakneck speed but pretty great
1:15 to 1:19 🤤
Ascoltate Arrau, quella è poesia
Too fast !!!
Agreed, the tempo, along with the harsher articulation, ruins the intended mood for me
allegretto ma non troppo is in my score
Much much too fast. What a pity!

Too fast

It’s not accelerated
Thank you for making such a beautiful piece into piece of shit!
Jacques Leleu La vitesse a ete augmentée... La video je parle
Sprint that kills the piece.... Only for performance...
Bello, ma secondo me troppo veloce...
Grande tecnica, ma pezzo inascoltabile! Troppo veloce l.
È scritto "allegretto ma non troppo"
Questo non è Debussy, ma Albanesy
Way too fast.
