Denzhoni'go hadotaal!! :) In response to some of the people wondering about the shouting. In our Apache culture that is how we, mostly men show their pride, and honor to our ways. I once heard a well respected medicine man and his wife talk about the shouting and yelling at a sunrise dance. They said "don't just stand there you may be ailing, may be weak, may need a healing, shout it all out!" When they shout they feel the medicine, feel Bik'ehgo'ihi'dan's power. Gozhoo doleel

They sing and that flag waves , makes u think about all the bad that our people endured. But yet now century's later we still singing our elders songs and still standing on this earth that is now called the United states , what once was our home. Makes me proud to be from strong people.

I really like the sound of this music, i jammed it one day at work while writing my letters and thinking about daily obstacles, then out of the blue I felt a heartwarming energy a rise from the sound and rythms, and i found myself thinking with a tear rolling down my cheek. I felt hurt, sadness, and within that instant the feelings of love, happiness and hope flowed within. I really liked that a lot. thank you for the singing the holy people put through you Mr. Tessay

In the traditional ways in which Elder men sang, I recall the heart-felt and spiritual ways in which Nde' men expressed love from the meaning of the words expressed in song. Spirit raises up inside the Singers, who sing in a form that is collective love and pride for their People, land, food, community. This is very much an Nde' way. They show diyih and respect for Ancestors and diyin.

as people we don't seem to have respect for these people who are singing. Alot of these songs are healing songs. As native american we are not out their to take enjoyment in these songs, we take these songs very seriously. It is not like we get wild and do line dancing to these songs. Their is a difference between native american music and country western music. We want our create to listen to us and be thankful off what he has pprovided for us.

I am Navajo. My father's clan is Descheenii. I was told six generations before him, a six yr old Apache girl was raised by the Navajo Tribe in Dineh taah. Only told she was of Descheenii clan of the Apache Bear Clan. Is anyone familiar with this clan thru out Apache ? Would like very much to know which Apache Tribe it belongs to and find my relatives. My dad's family are tall and lean. My son and nephews are 6'4". Taller than most Navajos. Am told I dnt luk Navajo. My cousin mentioned they were left behind by Geronimo and his band. They migrated from the East thru what is now Gallup, along the Little Colorado River North thru Gap, Az. Geronimo and 5 other men continued towards Grand Canyon. He told them he will return for his family. They never saw him again. I do not know how true this story is. When I search thru Apache Tribes. I see resemblance of my dad and grandmother's features in Geronimo and Apache Women.
