#volca #deeptechno #deephouse
nice dub techno in my opinion. I wish i knew somebody to share my passion for music with. These people are hard to find.
100% true :/
Thank you! And I agree: it's a rare thing.
I agree, so many people just listen to what is force-fed to them without questioning why they are listening to such garbage.
What's the difference between dun techno and deep house? I thought this was deep house
Patrick Monkman : Look up some dub techno videos. It had this typical bass sound with a dark and long delay. Check out Vøsne, he has very good dub techno jams.
This is not a production, this is setup. Deep respect for this deep vibes....
Thank you so much!! :)
I’ve listened to this too many times to count. It’s truly amazing to watch you two squeeze such amazing sounds out of just some Korg Volcas and some FX. Further reinforces that it isn’t really the gear you use that matters as much as the musician behind it all. Overall two big thumbs up!
Jasper Gray : Thank you so much!! :)
Where do they sell two additional arms ? 😁
Love the clean, well-defined mix you're able to achieve with this gear. Sound selection is very very smart and it's clear you both know these machines inside and out. Awesome.
Thank you for the kind words!! We practiced a lot (as you can see from the number of videos on our channel) to get to this sound and kept looking for ways to improve it. :)
Their work looks like flying on a spaceship. Incredible. Great set.
wisknicksor : It often also feels like that while playing. Thanks for listening!! :)
nombreeeeeeeee pa, SETSON!!!! saludos desde Mazatlán, Sin., México!!!!
Not only a cool Track.... This setup is a perfect Workout for you body 😎👍
Haha, thank you so much!! :)
I'm sorry... Can I listen this and play Elite:Dangerous space sim game on my stream ? I am ready to mention you and give a link to your page . Thanks for You soundworks!
Sure, go ahead! :)
Love 💘 jamming with volcas TOO..
I do MINIMAL TECHNO & HOUSE
❤❤❤💛💛💛💚💚💚🤩🤩🤩
Keep on jamming positive vibes...
That RNC Compressor really makes everything sound "really nice" where is that kick coming from? (I tend to ask alot of questions 😁) nevermind I see it clearly coming from the volca sample because the volca drum you just simply cannot make a drum kick that sounds like that if you can prove me wrong please great video sounds perfect
This is a great set! I am playing it while getting dinner ready. It reminds me of DEEP SPACE HOUSE, one of my favorite channels on UA-cam, now ruined by commercials.
You did a great job throughout the set bringing in new elements to keep it fresh. I imagine that you will be getting more gigs if you keep this up.
It was so good that I had to listen to it twice in a row.
Joseph Wright : Wow, thank you so much for the kind words!! We really enjoyed this jam as well. It’s interesting, we really had to focus and listen carefully to keep things minimal, but still progressing at the same time. :)
Slenterende Beer I don’t know if you have the Premium version of UA-cam with no commercials. If so, check this out: ua-cam.com/video/eA2UZsUd6rM/v-deo.html
Did someone say deep space house!!?? Lose those guys!
Clyde Brown Yes. It is so sad UA-cam is killing that channel with commercials
This is wonderful! Such a groove, such a flow. I love it
How much electric sockets did you need? Tried at home the 5-way-power-connector for the volcas but it makes some noise...
Like it.
I’ll say like Russian “Zaebis’”
Юрий Курков : Thanks!! :)
Great stuff. I have just gone down the Volka rabbit hole!! What mixer is that? That looks likely exactly what I need!
Thanks, great to hear we inspire you! The mixer is the Behringer UFX1204, not sure whether it's still sold. Full list of gear in the video description!
Just stumbled into this gem, subscribed in an instant.
How is this not acknowledged by Korg is a mystery to me.
Excellent setup and awesome jam. Many thanks for sharing it with us! 🔥💯
many machines but, it leaves me with more flavor, simple and classic sound. regards
29:00 it goes hyperspace mode
Which volca's do you have in stereo panned hard left/right, drum and sample?
nice
I'm into music creation but respect that's a lot of hardware!🔊🎶🎛
rgr music germany : Thanks for listening!! :)

Thank you so much man!! :)
Sounds great...
Amazing set
Thank you so much!! :)
What a good friend, *I hope my videos have that sound one day* . Thanks for sharing
Very nice session friends! Any recommendation how to approach building a setup like that yourself? Meaning - what to go first, what makes sense to buy later?
This is me, but I'd go for volca keys or volca sample...if you can afford both, go for it!
wow... insane stuff. as a DUO too ! sheesh ... killin it
how do you even learn this? i’ve been wanting to do this for a long time but i just don’t know where to start to be honest
Maximiliano Castellanos : Start with one, then build from there, step by step. I started with the Volca Sample because I wanted to make beats. Then I got the Keys and FM for synths. Next came effects, and after that came MIDI controllers. The important thing is to take it slow and take your time to get to know these machines. And it always helps to have musical knowledge / experience - they’re machines for making music after all. If you know how to build a basic beat or how to play a chord, that will make it easier and more fun to play with them. Let me know if you have specific questions. :)
Slenterende Beer Thank you so much for replying means the world to me! i absolutely love your work and seeing this video really inspired me to start trying. I’ll probably start off by getting a volca sample since my main interest is to make beats and i’ll move up from there. Again, thank you, you made my day!
Maximiliano Castellanos : Thanks for the kind words!! Have fun on this new adventure. :)
Go buy one piece of analog gear and you'll fall down a rabbit hole within a year.
What’s the name of the mixing board?
Like from Russia! ЗАЕБИСЬ!
Wow - so smooth! Talented guys
Thanks man!! :)
You deserve a like just for wiring that shit together 😉
This is actually very impressive, loving it!
Thank you so much!! :)
Nice dynamics....impressed with mix. Subscribed.
Thank you & welcome! :)
How is controlled the volca drum ? good job
the xenyx has a built in soundcard??
last 10 minutes were fire, rest of set sadly not quite my type but you really do know how to get that vibe going
Thanks for listening :)

recently discovered your channel and im really impressed with everything, quality sounds and grooves, in a 40 min mix is really impessive. Im very curious as of how much do you prepare before a long JAM like this? and what are the essentials for being able to make a long jam/mix like this? :) ive read elsewhere that the oktatrack is quite hndy if you wanna make a liveset.
cheers from sweden
always awesome session bros, well done & cheers :-)
Digithalis : Thanks man, we appreciate it!! :)
Small machines, big sound ! Nice jam. Thanks for sharing.
ïookem : Thank you for listening!! :)
I am following your channel and enjoy your work very much. I looked at your how-to video but you are using the ufx1204 (different mixer/interface) in this video and I wonder how you are getting the effects mixed into the final track while live recording. My ufx1204 doesn't allow me to record anything via the effects send and return. Your help is greatly appreciated. Head on over to my channel if you are interested in what I do.
Plates In The Sky : We don’t use the send-return for effects in this setup: (almost) every Volca has its own effect (see description), so we’re only recording the wet sound.
@@SlenterendeBeer Understood. Thanks for the quick reply. I believe the master mix outs may produce an "effected" version when using the sends and returns. I haven't tested it yet. Each person has their own workflow. I do not have a lot of pedals so I like the convenience of using the send/return.
I tend to avoid Volca jams on UA-cam because I never seem to enjoy the tone of Volcas. This jam, however, caught my eye by being 40 minutes long! And I wouldn't even call this a jam, this is a live set.
How much of this is improvised? As in, starting from blank sequences and forming them as time goes on? Your progressions are tight and on point.
This is insane. I wish I were you!👍💓
deep like the mariana trench
Just came across this - Great Work - L :: I :: K :: E
Thank you! :)
Во бля кора бы была если бы они на трамблерах бы переключались или пакетниками и выключателями.
I don't understand what you're saying...
beautiful
Dont get too much time on the same loop , you guys have a lot of equipment to at least not repeat that much sometimes the beats
Gabriel Montero : Thanks for the feedback!
Do you use the standard sample pack on the volca sample? Or did you guys create a custom one? great performance btw :)
Douwe van der Heijden : Dank je!! We’re using a custom sample pack.
@@SlenterendeBeer Tof! Zou je die heel toevallig kunnen delen? Klinkt heel lekker. Zoniet dan niet hoor :)
@@douwevanderheijden9126 (ik reageer even in het Engels) I'm sorry, I can't share the sample pack, because it contains licensed samples that we've bought.
That's the good stuff
Zwakke chit man pfff 😡😬
if you build it they will come
Awesome stuff guys
I cringe when I see volcas
Love it, perfect for a lazy sunday after a mad one 👍😀👏
Scenic Sky Views : Thanks!! :)
Very entertaining. Well done!
Blutut? Mixsebor med mottaking for mange dingsebomser?
Fredric Jacobsen : Say what?
Love it! Subscribe
Can't help but noticing you guys have effects almost worth of $2000 on the table. :D Good set nevertheless.
And of course this is a good demonstration how much good effects and effect chains can bring on the table. I personally think they can be as important as the sound source itself.
jarkokoo : Yep, the effects make all the difference, definitely worth the money. :)
@@SlenterendeBeer That's why I'm planning on buying an eventide H9 soon. Don't have a lot of money and pedals are exspensive (so is the h9), so i reckon its best to get one thats versatile. Do you guys have any experience with the H9?
@@thames21 No experience with the H9, but from what I've seen, it looks and sounds really good.
impresionante😮
Very nice!!!!😎😎😎💪💪💪 BASIC CHANNEL DEEPCHORD etc.and you!!!
Enjoyed this! You guys ought to invest in a multi-channel compressor to give everything more punch and phatboyness 👊🤠
Cable management supremacy..im looking into buy some of these and I tripped out seeing this insanity...superb trancy beat bro.amazing what you created here
Veel gekleurde lampjes, het maakt een geluid maar dat is dan ook alles !
Jan Visser : Vertel, Jan, wat vind je er van?
Definitely my favorite so far with the volcas I still don't know why you have head phones though is it for recording?
Clean sound, cool Arrangements, really impressive and fun session.
fano72 : Thank you!! :)
No way that’s a fantastic job guys… i don’t even figure out how much time did you spent to create something like this, pure art
this is so chill... lovin it.. middle of winter in stage 4 lockdown in Melbourne Australia with 8 pm curfew!! all ya need is a moogs and I will not sleep for days lol.
Nice to hear somebody digs GFI
King Shango Sound : Yep, the Speculars sound great. :)
I'm gonna have to buy a second Zoom CDR, also.
MisterGrooves : We have the MS-70CDR (used with the VSample here), and the MS-50G (used with the compressor). The latter has distortion/overdrive and amp modeling effects as well, but it doesn’t have all of the effects that the CDR has.
Welp time to get my own volca
Why did you guys stop posting new videos ? :( You guys are awesome at playing these volcas !
WOW oh WOW!
????????????????wtf
Excellent session! 👍👍👍
SyncdAlien : Thanks man!! :)
Excellent!
This is beautiful, Hello from Russia*
Ronald McDonald : Thank you!! :)
Please help me, i need track - 15:00 - 25:00

I don't know if you already done that but I would love to see a video where you explain all the details about the way you plug all these things together !
Great !!

QKLa Music : Thank you!! :)

Wowww love this

Wow. . . very nice session and what a great setup. . . I'm thrilled 😀 🎶
Thank you so much!! :)
👍
thank you, that was superb. I am just (re)starting a hardware jam setup, starting cheaply with Pocket Operators, but eyeing the volcas as a next step. I'm weighing between the FM, Keys, or Modular, but I'm not sure which one is going to be the most flexible. Do you have any advice?
same here i want a volca for dub chords but i dont know which
Hi Mates. do you using still the EQ in Sidechain of RNC (like first time of using RNC) ? Or without and adjusting Attack Time instead?
Eber Ling : Yes, we’re still using the sidechain EQ to emphasize the kick, as explained in the video about the RNC. But our compressor settings have also been refined. :)
Nice!!
In my dreams - sometimes - i will have such a huge Setup 😍😍😍
great jam to be back, almost 43 min of entertainment !!!
Wim Wijnhoven : Thanks Wim!! :)
I LOVE ! 💙
:)
This is immense. Amazing work from Volcas.
Koss Billingham : Thank you so much!! :)

I love this!!!
