I learned that technique from a fellow guitarist. Always wrap my guitar cables like that. And other cables/cords, too. Great technique to help makes your cables last
I just discovered your channel by accident today and I’ve been enjoying looking at some of your videos and it makes me wish I was still working with my boys in construction it was such a blast to be able to work with my sons and do it for 25 plus years. I really like your channel keep up the good work boys
We had one that wanted to really learn ( which is hard to find) and he went out and bought himself a new Makita circular saw He was very proud and it goes to cut his first board and the thing is smoking he's pushing He says" man this thing is a piece of shit !" The guy was pretty mad about it So I go over and look I said" if you put the blade in the right way it will cut a lot better " He said " it's in there right I put it in myself " Needless to say flip the blade over and it cuts like a champ Hahahahaha
I like racing with 8's. I'm the foreman so i dont bang a whole lot of wood (layout, stairs, whippinh and caning etc) and when one of the newer guys says something i put em in their place by driving 8 8s in 10 seconds. The day i get beat is the day i pass the torch my friend!!
I've got one for you guys. We play the hatchet hammering game while camping------ each person gets to start a nail into the top of a stump, then we pass around the hatchet, one swing per turn, and the first person to drive their nail home wins. It'll be fun for 3 or 4 carpenters to play together. My desk jockey buddies always kick me out after a couple rounds haha
I lost my Paycheck to my Boss on this. He said 1 Tap to set it, I swing to drive it straight in, into DBL 2/6. I said No Way!! I ate Ramon Noodle for the next week. Lol
I fancy myself pretty good with. Skilsaw, now I want to try this and he hammer event too. Me and a guy had a competition one day, 5 nails in a square pattern and one in the middle. 5 swings and you have to set all 5 to win, it was HARD!
We have a supplier here in Little Rock Arkansas that would have contractors nights They would invite all the contractors to come in and see all the new stuff serve beer hot dogs and they would have competitions like this to win free stuff from DeWalt Milwaukee Makita and other brands It is always a good time
Everyone should have made their cut before measuring because everyone after the first person gets to use the person before them as a guestimation giving everyone that went before the next person an unfair advantage.
Ok, who's the canadian or mexican or french in that competition to call it "Carpentry world championship"??? You better call it Bryson City Carpentry Championship or Perkins Builder carpentry champion, but either way it was fun!!
Build a Wooden Chain Link. 7days The more links- the winner. Start from a single chunk... Or cut the LONGEST SMOOTHEST RADIUS CUT on the JIGSAW WITHOUT STOPPING!!!! Or FOLLOWING A CUT LINE with a SKILSAW WITHOUT A GUIDE THE LONGEST & CLEANEST???? Or POWER PLANE the SMOOTHEST & LONGEST without any "LIFTING" or "CHATTER MARKS" Or WHO can RIP & FOLLOW A LINE THE CLOSEST BY HAND ON TABLESAW????
I split a length in half by holding each index finger at opposite ends of the board and I drag them to the middle at the same rate. Usually gets me very very close to center as an estimate. Of course is limited to my overall reach
Good fun ! Arlow's 45 was amazing.
rain coast thanks! I was very impressed as well
I tried out Jamie's over under cord wrapping technique last week and blew the minds of the guys on our crew. Love all the little tips and tricks
I learned that technique from a fellow guitarist. Always wrap my guitar cables like that. And other cables/cords, too. Great technique to help makes your cables last
Seem like you all enjoy each other's competition, SWEET friendship. Thanks for the videos.
Loved how Jamie was looking for the balancing point using the table on the cut even challenge. That 45 degree challenge was awesome. Nice work.

Gotta say, that was way to entertaining!
Awesome competition!

Cool video guys very entertaining!! You guys would be a blast to work with.
We always do fewest hits to sink a nail. And when the wobbly pops really start flowing wheel barrow races.

Jamie with his eyes closed hahaha
At the end I thought Jason was gonna say “it’s 2020 where’s my participation trophy” 🤣
We are all winners here

Y’alls video timing is great as soon as I get home from church on Sunday and on my lunch break on the week days!
Play time is over. Get to work boys!
I fancy myself pretty good with. Skilsaw, now I want to try this and he hammer event too. Me and a guy had a competition one day, 5 nails in a square pattern and one in the middle. 5 swings and you have to set all 5 to win, it was HARD!
I think this needs to be brought back, surely Jason has gotten better.
Larry Haun would win this competition hands down-the guy is a legend

Connor Klingbeil that’s why I just ran the camera.. didn’t want to get beat by Jaime!

He had his .morning cup of moonshine..hahahahaha
I want to see Jamie's trick for cutting a board in half!
Balance it on your finger first to tell where the center point is
@@PerkinsBuilderBrothers seems too easy! but makes so much sense.
I still believe that work skills (Olympics) is great idea, because it maintains validation across a region, state or country.
I would love to join the passionate men and women of the world of carpentry let me know when I can sign up
Rematch including Arlo, John O, Jason, Jaime, Erik, and Ray please!
As a recent channel fanatic, it's so weird seeing Jamie with that many fingers!
Kings wing it
What brand of hat is Jason wearing
I request more challenges .... who can cut off the cast on Ray's leg with a multi tool blindfolded. 80,807 views Monday August 30, 2021. 325k subs
Great fun, I would do way worse than Jason but I also drink to much at bru’s room on Wednesday nights..
All your followers will be competing tomorrow
Steven Foust I hope so!
Someone got their beer goggles on lol
I’m watching this one year later and can’t believe the wood that’s being waisted!
Back then it was 50 cents worth, now it’s a down payment on a car!
My money is on Arlo you youngbucks need some more Cheerios
Slow month?
After work on Friday night!
@@PerkinsBuilderBrothers - A few beers too?
Lmao, more please!

Thought he'd be earning his numbs this vid.
You guys are out of line with the title but fun video lol
Not 4 to 5 😅😂
Jamie is way too advanced for these challenges lol
Everyone should have made their cut before measuring because everyone after the first person gets to use the person before them as a guestimation giving everyone that went before the next person an unfair advantage.
Be The Board Classic
Those cuts were not straight. Either side could be a difference of 1/4 lol. Unless you used a new board every time
1/16 i said that's perfect even if you marked with the square it's never perfect so It should be perfect
Jay jad so square reference line
Dead nuts

Old man said I Don't appreciate you saying dead nuts mine have been dead for 30 years
Isn't this trade fun?
I split a length in half by holding each index finger at opposite ends of the board and I drag them to the middle at the same rate. Usually gets me very very close to center as an estimate. Of course is limited to my overall reach
Next who can build on site talbe free hand
Ain't no piano
😂
This metric system trully kills me as a european.
How is THIS measuring SKILL?
(ITS NOT)
ITS EYEBALLING..
Which takes some skill, usually gained through experience. Have you tried to do these things?
