Haha the looks are a little marmite. I like it. The battery didn't seem to care about the water and weight wise it's quiet clever. Time will tell I guess
When push starting a big four stroke, first roll it backwards in gear until you go up against compression, then pull the clutch in and start pushing forward etc.
So how does that hold up ? I mean design an adventure bike and then hang the battery on the bottom of the bike in the wettest, muddiest, most unprotected part. 🤔 I wonder why nobody else is doing this ?
It certainly held up fine. Battery was no issues other than me leaving the blood thing in it transit. Proper fail on my part. The battery low is great for the weight feeling 👌
Great 👍 review, I wouldn’t own one ☝️ BUT I do like the adoptive ride height 👍. I loved your Iceland tour by the way it was “ mega “ . Unfortunately all I can do is watch Utube at present broke my wrist out dirt bike riding last Saturday, in a cast for 6 weeks. It’s pretty hot 🔥 riding in Australia at the moment ( our summer) in February most days between 32 - 35 we’re I live . It’s actually a very wet summer this year . We have only had one ☝️ day over 40 ( normally would have had 5-6 by now and lots of mid 30,s . So we leave for riding about 6 and get back by 12, when it hits around 30.
Oh no. Sorry to hear that. I hope it heals smoothly. Gosh that hot! I like the early morning tactic. Thanks for watching and taking the time to say hi!
The only real problem i find is the radiator placement. It gets filled up with mud way to quick even with a fender extender. For the rest, brilliant bike. "Source: My pan am in the garage"
@@TheGirlOnABike I got myself a Pyramid fender extender. That doesnt do to much. Maybe the Altrider radiator guard helps better from clogging it up, or an entirely different fender.
Kind of seems like the only thing people really like about the PA is the engine. Lots of problem drama from anyone I know who's really taken them off road.
😂 HD’s have had an issue with being towed since they came out with Key Fobs. You need to tow them with the key in it. When it’s in the tow vehicle, the security stuff freaks out because of how close the fob is and the bike is moving. Nice to see they still haven’t fixed it.
They have fixed it as you can simply use two buttons on the controls to out it in transport mode, same as my DYNA Street Bob, but that only works if the user remembers to do it 🤦♀️🤣
Wales in winter looks a bit like Iceland. Temperature-wise also quite similar ;-) Great riding. Looking forward to the start of the new season, once the salt and grime and snow are gone. Cheers, Günte from Nürnberg/Bavaria PS: That Harley seems to be quite good for the class. And more affordable than a BMW, KTM oder Ducati.
I ride a Explorer 1200 and looking to start doing some green laning. I don’t live too far from North Wales either, have you got any maps of where you went or were you find out about them or was it all local knowledge
The best bet is to grab an OS map and look for the byways and council roads. There are lots of them. That's how I found them. I unfortunately don't have a route planned 🤔
Awesome video but yes you need to do more bike adventure bikes on trails like that even though BMW,Honda and Triumph have there own little planning areas 🏍🏍🏍🏍🏴🏴🏴🏴
@@TheGirlOnABike had to bump start the GSXR K1 1OOO at every stop in France over 5 days, the starter clutch had completely gone lol fully loaded, wasn't fun, I guess the big HOG PanAm is a little heavier haha
I enjoyed that. Mind you If I can get my Royal Enfield Bullet up that trail overlooking Barmouth Bridge I should hope the HD would cope admirably 😂 I had better weather than you guys though. It’s a stunning view on a nice day👍👍😀😀😎
Brilliant laning ride review lady v, love your enthusiasm. Kinda makes you think, yeah I could do a harley 😉 Geraint Jones and his Yamaha offroad centre are just there in Llandidloes, been a few times, lovely lanes in Wales. Would love to do them on a big bike like you have. Amazing, loved this raw video. ❤
I like Wales but the police are far to keen with the tickets and its always raining. Its one those places if you want to keep points off your license you just give it a miss. Nice movie enjoyed watching
Out of interest what ear plugs did you use before they got nibbled by the mouse? Have tried ultimate ear ones which were fine for working in the garage with the bike but when you put your helmet on the seal seems to break between them and your ear and defeats the point as the reduction in DBs is lost.
Hey David, oh that doesn't sound ideal. I use Custom fit Guards which are made to fit and I have the ones with filters so you can talk / use intercoms. I have a friend code for a discount if you're looking to get some "GIRLONABIKE" gives 10% off
Oooo bold question. Honestly I love them both but I'd probably, due to my strength as a small girl, go AT. Purely based on the weight I'm not confident I have the strength to recover the Pan solo in all positions
oh this question gets me as I genuinely can't find it online. It's Dainese but it's like they have stopped doing them. It's so good which makes it more annoying!
Class, look forward to watching, how did you find it? I crashed on a down hill before cp1 and nakered my ligaments in my knee so only got to cp3 with 10minutes to go. Finished the lap but Hard work 😓
What an ugly tractor. Who thought that was a great position for a battery 😱
Haha the looks are a little marmite. I like it. The battery didn't seem to care about the water and weight wise it's quiet clever. Time will tell I guess
♥️♥️
From that theme music i can tell you're an 80s music girl.
Good taste.
Haha I sure am lol
When push starting a big four stroke, first roll it backwards in gear until you go up against compression, then pull the clutch in and start pushing forward etc.
Yeah sadly we just didn't have enough downhill terrain to make it feasible
@@TheGirlOnABike You should be able to do it on the flat as long as you pull it back first.
Also use a higher gear . Also stand up and really bounce down on the seat while releasing the clutch

Yeah Ive noticed that actually. I'm thinking of trying to work out a small mod to stop the mud going down 🤔
Although it didn't have the issue in Wales as it was wet so kind washed itself

Never use the kill switch. You forget to turn the key off.

Haha user error
Leave the unit out of transport mode and blame HD
256 Kilos? Half an MGA! Blimey, that's hefty. You don't want that to fall on your ankle… 😵💫 That might be a smashing success!
Yeah its a beast. Holds it weight well thankfully but a pick up is 💪💪💪

2nd or 3rd gear get the guys to push and bump start her, probably less hassle than getting to the battery...
