I've also been on USA's AmTrak from Boston to New York City, with an average speed of 80kph (it had to slow down at many turns ... top speed at 120kph ... but only for short runs). There is no comparison. China's HSR Trainports are like International Airports. USA had dirty, poorly lit train stations, and the AmTrak was clackerty-clack all the way (HSR, you could not feel any vibration at all).
