A2A Aviation - Preparing the Aerostar

- We at A2A want to try something a little different by sharing more of our aviation experiences by way of some casual, off-the-cuff videos. This first video is about the Aerostar that has been stuck on the ground after discovering metal in our left engine's oil filter. We pulled the engine and things got delayed, so the airplane has been sitting, trapped inside of a hangar with a door that was not tall enough for it to pass under. We got it in by putting sand bags on the tail, lowering it, and moving the tail under. We have finally solved this issue and can now run up the engine for the first time in about a year.

You know whats sucks is that once you fly A2A aircraft its hard to go back and fly other flight sim aircraft even payware. Addicted now Take my Money and give me an Aerostar with Lycomings. I'LL WAIT 😤
Very cool video, thanks for the update on this beauty. All the best in your endeavors to getting her back in the air...
Super-cool! Will we ever see an A2A Aerostar for P3D?
Brian L. More likely the new Microsoft sim
Just read the update from you guys regarding MS FS2020 and to learn that the A2A Aerostar is on the plan of record is just awesome news. As a Twin engine and next step from the A2A Comanche, an A2A Aerostar 600 will be an awesome hanger addition. Hope all at A2A are safe and well.
Great video Scott, thanks for sharing. I feel quite queasy after watching a video shot mostly hand-held, but it was worth it (I get very motion sick in light aircraft too, sadly).
The engine starting sequence reminded me of my first time trying to fire up the Stratocruiser's engines in your first Accu-Sim product... good memories :)
Ooooh is a master! Nice job, congrat!!
finally a twin from a2a
I really hope sooner or later we can buy a twin engine by A2A! I really enjoy the A2A single engines ... Now I am ready for a twin engine.
Sounds great, I was lucky enough to work a few fires from the right seat of an Aerostar. I’m looking forward to building a simulator of the aircraft when the A2A version is released : )
Love your videos. You should do more. Or set Jake up with some cameras.
Thanks, Scott for another great video. It looks like I'm going back to view the videos in order and not the way Google sends them too me.
sounds exactly like the Beech Baron from FSX, realy nice
Fabulous - when do we get to see and purchase an A2A Aerostar?
I would love to see more A2A GA twin aircraft.
It would be great if you add this to the A2A fleet !!
3:22 at least its not in Australia. I left a ute parked under my house for three months and the next time i drove it found that it was infested with huntsman spiders the size of my hand. That created a bit of excitement.
My love A2A :)
nice video will we be seeing this plane A2A accusim ?
hope so the effort this man goes to,closest i will ever get to real flying makes me a happy old retired man.
cool project, is it flying?
Why did you hand the prop?
Cool, Have planning to add new aircrafts to Steam?
I will wait for the release on DCS World or X-Plane 11.
How long till left engine is complete and back on the wing?
That's the question. The mechanic on the field is awesome at fixing airplanes, not so awesome at keeping on schedule
Did you have your comanche at nashua airport the other day? I saw one with the exact paint
Nice spot, yes, Jake Gentile flew it up there
Thats insane! where do you usually fly from?

Is this your next project for the sim? 😃
so
Is it expected for Dash 7+Beech 1900C Series+Let 410 Turbolet+EMB 110 bandeirate+Beech 99 airliner A2A Accu-sim turboprop new aircraft?
0:45 Jeikssssss…..:-)
You might want to chain up that spare acetylene cylinder on the left at 6:39 or thereabouts!
Yes thank you for that heads up, I'll do that. All of the stuff on the edges is from my mechanic and I need motivate him to get his stuff out of my hangar...
@@ShockwaveProd no problem. Loved the video btw.
how much does it cost to own this plane?
Hi Dra, it can cost as low as low as several thousand a year on inspections once the airplane is at a point where it can be maintained. The Aerostar 600 is one of the most solidly built airplanes ever made.
@@ShockwaveProd 700?
14:44 HAHAHA
Need to buy a power trolley
There is an old power trolley in the hangar, this was my mechanic's old hangar and his stuff is still all over the place. After this vid I asked him about this, but the thing is the Aerostar will rarely be at this airport since the runway is so short. It's based elsewhere. So I may just need to get this in and out 1-2x a year for annual or other repairs.
@@ShockwaveProd Gotcha, and a little work out is not bad either. lol
It would be great if you add this to the A2A fleet !!
