Nah, that logo was good for its time from 1966-2002. I call it the Boring Bird lol The current one best fits the MODERN Falcons, granted the old logo is iconic for our teams history, but you have to represent what the team is NOW.
Hi Jayden - Thanks for the comment and you're right, these fun little 2 minute videos are a snapshot in time going back to 2013. It would be great to update them, but the primary purpose was to explain about each team's uniform color history and the history doesn't change. Thx again for the comment - Scott
I am not a Falcons' fan, but I have always liked their color scheme and their designs. from their classic red helmets (still love those) to their black helmets now, the Falcons have always been among the nicest uniforms in the league
I remember all the Atlanta Falcons uniforms and liked both the original and rebooted falcon emblem. The original uniform was black with the white falcon on the sides. Nuf said.
chrisbacos Chris - Not quite sure what would have possessed me to say the Falcons were the only team with black jerseys in the NFL in the mid 1960's. The only thing in my defence is that we recorded all 32 videos in a single day and one's brain becomes somewhat numb with trivia/facts by the end of the day. But to forget the Steelers, I'm not sure what I was thinking. And in case someone else asks about the Raiders and their black jerseys, they were in the AFL at that time. Thanks - Scott
***** You are welcome. Old school fans like us know about the AFL. Don't forget the Cincinnati Bengals also in the AFL wore black. The New Orleans Saints debuted one year after the Falcons and they wore and still wear black jerseys. The Falcons and Saints of course have had a natural rivalry due to both history and geography.
Thanks for asking. NFL Films had a large video crew and had rented a house near their NJ office for one day, so ultimately it was costing a lot of money to do the shoot, so one day is all the time we had.
A black logo on a black helmet is a PROFOUNDLY stupid and ill-advised design decision. I have heard that the fanbase is overwhelmingly in favor of a return to red helmets, but the team inexplicably won't listen.
Rob - At least the Falcons made it to the big game that year. Yes it's tough losing a big lead but that's why we love sports - almost anything can happen. The Falcons will have their day... Scott
Hi Lewis - I know it may be hard to believe, but the Bears actually wear what is called "Midnight Blue" - it almost looks lie black but it's actually deep, deep blue. Crazy! Thanks for commenting - Scott
+Scott Sillcox Can you guys do one for my favorite team, the Ravens? Even though their original uniforms and helmets were embarrassingly bad from 96-98
Hi Lewis - You may not have found it, but we did one for the Ravens: ua-cam.com/video/Wl975sqmVEg/v-deo.html As you probably know, the 96-98 team used a uniform that was part of a major lawsuit and thus the history of those uniforms is often downplayed by most official sources. Not a big conspiracy, just a case of not wanting to dredge up the past. Thanks! Scott
Love the red uniform. Go back to it!
Would love to see the return of the red helmets and red home jerseys.
And the old Falcon logo!!!

@@brents.8972 Nah, the new logo is more cartoonish - it actually looks like the old "Space Ghost" spaceship.
I'd like to see the Falcons get back to the Red Helmets and Classic Jersey.
I agree the red helmet with the black uniform yes I love it specifically with there away jersey
needs to be updated

1990 back in black is goated, the current is kinda eh

Come on...take a Zen moment and become a Falcon fan!!!
Interesting, the connection with UGA and Georgia Tech.
their modern kit with the black helmet and red shirts look superb. my second favorite uniform
What is your favorite uniform?
eon14873 its just copying cardinals, the black ones is what they are known of and are the best
Robert Mastroianni packers home probably, timeless
My favorite nfl and I am from California
Go falcons
I like the 1990 uniforms.
Black and Red, they're not just colors:
They're inexplicably blowing a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl

Funny I felt like they got their own identity when they switched to the black helmets. The previous felt like Georgia Bulldog ripoffs.
Falcons should put gold in at least one of their uniform that you can really see
Nahh. Let the Saints wear gold.
I never knew Atlanta had some gold originally on the helmet...look for that again on the new helmet I betcha!
The Pittsburgh Steelers were in the NFL in the 60s and wore black jerseys.

Scott Sillcox I think it would’ve cool to do a whole documentary about this topic, and include all 32 teams in it. But not film it all in one day
Wouldn't be easier they've would have wear their white jerseys at home like the cowboys?

+Scott Sillcox Thanks Scott. Love the channel
Didn't pay attention to the length and was hoping for a full length documentary. Then I realized how fast paced it was.
I am disappointed.
Go back to wearing the black.
28-3 😉
40-11
The team that blew a 25 point lead in super bowl 51
It's because their defense gave up towards the end of regulation and into overtime.
SuperAV21 sounds like you're making an excuse
I'm not.
SuperAV21 the Falcons made some not so smart plays near the end of the game that cost them
SuperAV21 I think it’s more that the Patriots figured things out
