I too love 49 and Market, I have a few of the rub-ons and really enjoy using them too. I watch Gayle every day. Her videos come up first (since she is only about an hour difference time zone), and then I watch your videos every afternoon. So addictive :). I just love you both, my dream is to travel and meet you both. Of course, I could jump in my car to see her, but I would have to fly many hours to see you. But I would do it for sure. I just bought almost all the collection of this today at a scrapbook event!! I'm so excited, I created along with you! Oh, you are going to enjoy the fabric tape. I bought the "Vintage Bits". It has ledger, postage stamps, script on them. It's lighter than I thought it would be but it's sticky and I really like it!! I'll be following along with you on this since I have all the goodies! Yay!!! I watch your videos all the time and have really enjoyed them! I watch both of the lovely ladies you mentioned, I receive so many wonderful ideas from all of you!!!

I adore botanical ephemera and journals and these products from 49 and Market are fabulous! I hope I can access them in Australia. Your pockets look amazing and now I am itching to make some (amongst the other 10 projects I have ongoing lol 😆). Not enough hours in a day to get through all the creating I want to do. ❤
I think you’d really like the distress paint, especially if you like that gesso colored look. The lighter colors spread on the paper using a scrapper or credit card looks very similar

I love these. For the two you didn’t care for as much, since they are thinner, just cut the folded edges off and use them to collage onto another box, or a masterboard and they’ll look like you intended them to be that way! I’m excited for your botanical journal. 💗

I always love your creations and enthusiasm. I don't know if you have ever tried just applying Distress Oxide with your brushes to white paper and then just splatter it with a little water. Wait a few seconds then just dab the water drops on the paper with a tissue or paper towel. Since you love splatters so much you will see that this will create lovely splatter effects and develop other colors from the inks. Not as messy as splattering actual paint.
I love all your projects, but especially this one because I own the same book and can’t wait to make these pockets! Thanks for taking the time to do it twice. I know it had to be annoying but you persevered! 😊

It amazes me how different the colors of Oxides and Inks are. I have the Ink version of Old Paper, and mine actually looks like old paper. It's much more of a subdued color: yellowish with a tinge of green. And my Ink Brushed Corduroy is actually brown, and not more yellow like yours. I actually *really* like your gessoed ones 😃 (And ya know, that rub-on you want to re-create is gonna be mixed media 😉)

The original is from a Tim Holtz stampset Tiny toadstools .

It’s not my favorite, just found out that the distress ink is more Brown and the oxide more yellow. 🧐
