- Early Spring fishing can be very tricky. We have sunny days followed by cold fronts. Sometimes the weather says they are shallow but the bass may be deep. It's a time of transition and it pays to sample the shallow and deep stuff. Here's a few baits that work in this situation.

Love the breakdown in the middle of the video. The on the water action combined with detailed analysis is super helpful...it's the kind of opportunity to hear someone's thought process like I'm sure why it was so helpful being in the boat with the guys you mentioned.
Forward facing radar shows what a valuable tool it can be, instant feedback on what you were throwing to those Stripers, and Finley got up to take notice of them.

Good job of catching largemouth and stripers. I've never caught stripers that large but I don't have forward facing sonar. It would be pure luck if I caught them. Keep up the good work. You're a good teacher. Easter is coming. Jesus is alive evermore!

Thanks Gabe for being a voice of reasons in this crazy debate on FFS. I don't tournament fish so maybe I shouldn't voice my opinion , but I wish everyone would just calm down and let's see where it's going. I have used the devil scop😅 a lot and it is teaching me a lot. The offshore bite is just like any other technique, it has its time and place. I think if the older pros would learn to use it with their strengths we would see a big change in attitudes. As far as boring to watch, I think that's because we are trying to watch too much non stop coverage. Thanks for another great video!
All valid points. The vets have tons of fishing IQ and as/if they integrate FFS into their game they will be back in the mix. I think one thing that is overlooked is how well trained the younger fisherman are. They’ve had access via social media to anything and everything and they are students of the sport. They also share a lot more info amongst their selves. They are stiff competition. They are youth. They can go hard all day long.
Agreed 100 percent! I think it's a shame to disrespect the young guys because someone doesn't personally enjoy their style of fishing. They are competing with the same tools as everyone else. They have the advantage of youth for sure! But that's true in life in general. I saw Scott Martin on bass after dark, and agree with his take. Everyone will adjust, the fish will adjust and we will see the cream rise to the top. You are right though Gabe, these young guys are good and are here to stay regardless of technology!
