- In this video, I talk about what I think would have happened if all of the final 3s were to have been final 2s instead. I might as well mention here how I realized that discarding the first jury member actually makes it so that some of these final 2s could have accidentally tied so with certain seasons it would have been smarter to not do that, but it never ended up affecting the result so I guess it doesn't matter.

Yeah but based on his rules Kass would choose who to vote out but the finale would probably stay the same. She did say though that she would bring Tony at one point hoping for a bitter jury.

Like 5 people wanted to vote Michele because Natalie did some pretty sketchy to downright bullying stuff on the Edge but they were so afraid of her winning they voted Tony. Adam, Wendell, Yul, Danni, Nick at least planned to vote for her.
It was confirmed Natalie had 7 locked votes but lost 3 of them to Tony. If there was a final 2 between her and Michele, Natalie would have won. The jury confirmed this in interviews.

I did a zoom call with Kelly Wentworth once and she told me she would never, ever vote for Chris. She didn’t respect that he was already voted out so I think she votes for Julie and I think with that Lauren probably votes Julie as well. But it doesn’t matter because Chris still wins

The issue with this is that strategies change when people play for a final 2 versus a final 3. A lot of the time I think we’d end up with a different final 3 than we got if people think they’re playing for a final 2.

Honestly, if there was a final two of Michelle and Natalie in WaW, it would’ve been sick for Michelle to win. Imagine the narrative of going from one of the most controversial and arguably undeserving winners to winning an all winners season with a similar game.

She didn't really have a similar game in WaW. I know because I used to literally hate Michelle with a burning passion just for beating Tai (Yes, I think Tai should have won) but her game in WaW really won back my respect.

I think it’s possible gabby votes for Angelina, not that she wanted Angelina to win, but if it were a final 2, nick would have it locked up, so she may have thrown a vote for Angelina
with becky it depends on if the jury gives her strategic credit for the yul moves or if they just think of her as a coattail rider
Sort of agree, but I also can't see how she wins. Ozzy would obviously still get the 4 votes he got over Yul and Becky already, and no chance at all Adam votes Becky over Ozzy. He didn't even want to vote Yul over Ozzy, but did due to his deal with Yul. So that is already at worst 5 votes for Ozzy, so he can't lose, unless possibly it goes to a 7 person jury. I do think Becky has a good shot of getting all 4 of Candice, Penner, Sundra, Yul over Ozzy, regardless if they give her credit for the Yul moves or not, since Penner and Candice both hated Ozzy, Sundra was closer to Becky, and Yul is obvious, so even that part doesn't matter much, as she probably gets those 4 whether they give her credit or not.
Todd said on his AMA that he would've voted Courtney in an Amanda/Courtney/Denise FTC so I see no different in an Amanda/Courtney FTC. Also he said that Courtney actually was winning going into FTC and that no one thought she did bad, but that Todd did amazing to steal some votes. So...Courtney beats Amanda.
I really don’t think that this has much truth past him maybe voting Courtney, which I think at the time he wouldn’t have, true. Amanda and Todd had a falling out (not Amanda and Parv scale), and Courtney is still one of his best friends so I imagine he’s going to sing Courtney’s praises as much as he can.

Also Peih Gee said in an interview that she got very close to voting for Courtney just for her ability to explain and own her strategy to make it to the end. So with Todd, Denise, James and Peih Gee, Courtney would have won China

Wendell still wins 36 for it being a 2/2 tie vote, with him and ang. He still wins that and the game.
I'm not sure about 37, but I'm thinking maybe it's a 3-1 on Mike. And nick still wins but not too sure on that. It could still be a 3-1 on kara too but from the edit, it looked a little clear no one wanted to take Mike to the end.
38, Rick gets voted out 3-1, and Chris still wins. No question.
39, I think Lauren gets voted out 3-1 and Tommy still wins, there's a slight possibility there's still a fire making challenge between her and deen but I don't think she gets Tommy's vote to stay.
For season 40, I think this is the most interesting one, where it's most likely a 2-2 vote on Tony and Michele. Tony can get voted out by Sarah in a 3-1 vote and that would be really interesting. Sarah probably wins, not just on post game interviews but pre game, there were a lot of women saying that Sarah was the biggest threat to win. So, she can win, but it could still be up in the air. Now, Would tony win fire against Michele? Maybe not, and he could get voted out still. But if he wins that, he just wins the season.

Might as well do this for the modern seasons:
41: This is a difficult one because the edit made it unclear how a vote like this would have gone. I think it's likely that we get a 2-2 split between Deshawn and one of Erika/Heather. In Deshawn Vs Heather we know the result already, but Erika vs Deshawn would be interesting, although I think Deshawn would still win firemaking here. Either way, if Erika gets voted out here Heather wins the season instead (judging by post-season interviews Heather did have a respected game by the jury as her game was very similar to that of Erika's and they worked together all season), and if not then Erika still wins as usual and nothing changes.
42: A pretty clear 3-1 against Jonathan, in which case he still loses and Maryanne still wins as nothing changes.
43: Jesse gets voted out 3-1. However I think that without the firemaking twist, Cassidy actually wins. The jury blamed Cassidy's loss on her not throwing herself into firemaking. Without that I think Jeanine, Noelle, Ryan and Sami would all vote for Cassidy to win alongside James. Karla was clearly never voting for Cassidy and I think Cody would have voted for his ally Gabler. However the jury's logic regarding firemaking IS flawed and I think it's very likely that Cassidy still loses due to the jury being bitter (although it's worth noting here that Jesse would be less bitter against Cassidy as he would not hold her responsible for his boot so she might gain his vote here and get the win).
I would be 100% okay with Amanda winning China. That would mean we might get Todd back for a future season.

Clearly, you don't pay attention. Todd's not playing again because he's been struggling with alcoholism, not because he doesn't want to play again or that production doesn't want him back. He's to much of a risk factor not only to himself, but to production as well.

I simply said it would mean we would see him because they had Amanda playing 3 times in a period of 5 seasons. He's easily the best 1 time player in my opinion.

Kim said when answering Christina’s jury question that she would’ve taken Sabrina with her to the final 2 if it had been a final 2 instead of a final 3. Yes she may have done that as a way of working the jury because maybe she felt like the jury was cropped with more Sabrina stans than Chelsea stans but Kim was probably telling the truth
The way that Rob in Redemption Island got not only himself but all his entire Ometepe tribe post-merge to the end was truly impressive. And still Ralph could not reward that by giving Rob his vote in either a final 3 or a final 2. No respect for Ralph.
Well if anyone but Phillip or Natalie are at the end, there are a lot more people besides just Ralph who aren't voting him.
You should do a scenario where each final member of the jury wins the final immunity challenge. For example, in Palau, if Ian won immunity and took Katie, meaning Tom would be booted and it would be between Katie and Ian. Or as an example for a final 3, in Edge of Extinction, if Rick won immunity and took Julie, putting Gavin and Chris into a fire challenge which Chris likely wins, meaning the final 3 would be Rick, Julie, and Chris.
21 out of 25 final tribal councils with three finalists have seen at least one finalist get zero votes. This tells me they should go back to final twos as a matter of course, since apparently they hardly ever have three people worthy of consideration.

It never should’ve been a final 3. It’s such a phony way to end the game and it’s clearly a production exploit and not part of the soul of the game. Survivor is a game of numbers where the majority chooses elimination until a majority can no longer be formed. Making it to the final 2 (when a majority can no longer possibly be formed) is truly making it as far as you can go in the game. Going from 3>1 feels like the game is being cheated by production.
If the players knew there would be a Final 2, they would change their gameplay. You wouldn't get the exact same 3 people at the end on each given season.

Honestly I would have liked the final 2 thing happening in winners at war cause one of Tonys biggest moves was convincing woo to take him and it would have been funny, also Michelle played an excellent underdog game and it redeems her not deserving it over Aubry backlash she gets and she would be the only winner on the season to not be voted out and 2 time winner

One thing to consider in Gabon is sugar outright quitting at f3 to give Bob the win because she knew she would never win s jury vote. The other thing to consider is that the onion alliance blamed Susie for flipping on Markus
Even if Corrine blames Susie, she still hated Sugar so much, there is no way she is ever voting her, even over Susie. So adding her to Matty, Ken, Crystal, who already voted Susie over both Sugar and Bob, and Susie wins with atleast 4 locked votes. Even if Charlie and Randy decide to vote Sugar somehow, and Bob does too.
11:21 Ralph said he only voted for Phillip so that Natalie would get 3rd place. Without both of them in the finals, I do think he votes for Rob
I wish you had at least addressed the possibility that someone else wins final 3 immunity, especially for scenarios with multiple physical threats still left in the game.

25:46 I think she takes Dean. Supposedly she took Tommy to the end because Lauren would beat him in fire, and Noura didn’t want to go up against Lauren in FTC. This is the only instance where the final immunity winner takes someone they put in the fire-making challenge

It doesn't matter who he picks. He still wins 9 votes either way. No way they would keep a 8 jury because of the time issue. Dawn votes cochran no matter what, so 9-0. And sherri admits in real life she would have voted cochran over dawn, so 9-0. He had that perfect game in lock

Sandra vs Russell could have had Russell votes. JT and Amanda seemed more anti Parvati. I honestly feel like Amanda voted Sandra just because she had the best shot at beating Parvati. If Parvati isn’t in the running I think she’s more likely to give her vote to Russell, though I think she still leans Sandra.
That is possible, but the other theory is Amanda, JT, Jerri, and to a lesser extent Candice all went into the F3 of Sandra-Parvati- Russell willing to vote Russell but didn't do to his awful FTC. So in that case Sandra would get all their votes still. Against Parvati he probably still picks up Amanda and JT, since they hated Parvati enough, and maybe Candice.

There is no way on gods green earth Alina was ever voting Fabio vs anyone, anyone who followed the season knows that. And Holly went into FTC planning to vote Sash and switched to Chase. And the other is Jane who was always a pretty obvious Chase vote. Really Naonka was always the swing vote to decide which was going to win. And Kelly too since Kelly could have easily voted Sash and if she does, Chase wins, since Sash is the tiebreaking vote now and obivously picks Chase over Fabio.

Natalie and Michele are two of my Top 5 favorite winners ever. Both very strong, interesting players and women. Yet them being the Final 2 would be “the Darkest Timeline.” Interesting.
It would really just be the "darkest timeline" because of the fantastic game Tony played, and the fact that most people don't like the edge, it would make the winner really unsatisfying (with the edit we got), and Tony would be the ultimate fallen angel.
Well i think their winning games are great, but you have to look at how natalie literally skips allllll the tribals and gets to final 2 by winning immunities. Never ever surviving ONE tribal her whole time there. So tbh as much as I would like Michele to win, her game in WaW was not great at all. She never had any agency after OG Sele, and was constantly on the bottom.

Over Ozzy, I think Penner for sure votes for Becky. Sundra is a likely Becky vote. Candice is a bit more up in the air, but I wouldn't be surprised if she voted for Becky over Ozzy. Brad could also vote for Becky if he was on the jury.
If Heroes vs Villains had a final 2, it would have been Parvati and Russell and Parvati would win
Only if Parvati wins final immunity. Russell was not taking Parvati over Sandra. In fact in the scenario it is a Final 2, he probably votes Parvati off at Final 4 over Jerri now, as he only voted Jerri off at 4 with a Final 3, since he thought he had her jury vote.
this changes everything in heroes vs villains because he would not have taken out Jerri in final 4 because he thought it as his vote knowing it was a final 2 Parvati would go first
I don’t think that changes anything. If he decided to keep Jerri, and somehow take her to the final 2 he would still lose. People weren’t huge fans of Jerri but by no means did they dislike her as much as they disliked Russel. He loses against all of the potential people he could take to the final 2. Remember, that jury was PISSED and they had every right to be. There was no way Russel was winning that game. He was the goat in the final 3 and he would’ve been in the final 2.

I think Brad Culpepper is not a guaranteed win. I definitely think him being already being rich would lead toward Troyzan receiving more votes, though admittedly they're probably both fairly well off.
A lot of the jurors hated Brad. I could see it being surprisingly close.

Brad is an asshole, nobody liked him besides Sierra and Debbie who both wanted to vote him, and Troyzan of course. And he also did nothing apart from all his immunity wins, the one huge difference between his game and Troyzan's, but strategically and socially and in any other sense both did nothing.

The person who would have the most influence on JT is Amanda who he had a huge crush on. Amanda hated Parvati so yeah JT probably never votes Parvati. If Amanda had voted Russell over Sandra, JT probably would have too as well.

I love the idea of this video, but the flaw is that we assume the person whom won final 4 immunity would win the final 3 immunity challenge. For example natalie won in WAW where I think her and Michelle vote out Tony, but the next challenge would've been between Sarah, Nat, and Michelle where we dont know what would've happened
except that final four still probably ends in a fire challenge with Michelle and Tony instead of tony and Sarah in fire and I think that takes Michelle out then if Nat wins final three takes out Tony and then I think Sarah wins but if either Tony or Sarah win final Immunity then its both of them in final 2

Interesting. I'm thinking Kelly takes Sue, partly as an olive branch and partly because she's the easiest to beat, and makes Rich and Rudy fight it out. I feel like that would be a toss-up.
If Rudy makes fire he wins the jury vote by a mile.
If Rich wins I think Sue is a zero-vote finalist; she's got all Rich's baggage and none of the ability to claim grudging respect. So it's essentially still a choice between Rich and Kelly, but without Sue voting. Assuming the other jurors all stay the same as before, that means a 3-3 tie, with Sue as a tie breaker. Probably she votes Rich (giving us the exact same result as what really happened), unless she really is that touched by the fact that Kelly took her along to the end and they patch things up on the last day.
However, it's long been suggested that Gervase had planned on voting for Rich but switched to Kelly because he felt bad for her after being so savaged by Sue. If Sue's not a juror then there's no snakes and rats speech, so maybe Gervase votes Rich and Rich wins 4-2. (I've always thought it strange that Gervase voted for Kelly; he seemed to be thinking in strategic terms, but only Joel wanted to play that way on Pagong, and after the merge Rich beat him to the draw. He really should have acknowledged that Rich was a worthy adversary and voted accordingly.)

@@sethbryant5539 I’m not certain Gretchen would have to be on the jury, but if she were, she was shown to be getting pretty close with Rich on the merge episode. In later interviews Rich said he’d hoped she would recognize that his ousting her did not mean that their bond was any less genuine and that he wanted to continue getting to know her later.
I don’t know whether his hopes were realized or not, but she’s the only member of that cast he talked about in that way (not counting his comments where he briefly touched on how much he’d enjoyed keeping in touch with Rudy, comments he made after Rudy died). I would think she leaned toward Rich, if she has to get a vote.

My only critique is for season 35-40 as a final 2 the fire making goes away so person voted out in 4th may change. For example in hhh Ben goes 4th then krissy chooses to take either Devon or Ryan to final 2. In winners there would be fire but it would be Tony vs Michelle and Tony advances. Then Nat cuts him at final 3 and loses to sara in the finals.

I think Troy beats Brad. He’s definitely capable of making a better FTC speech than Brad and Troy came up with the Andrea blindside and made other moves that were edited out because of time constraints. I think he’d win.
I think troy and brad wouldve been a another brian vs clay,Brian who is brad in this case had a terrible ftc while clay who is troyzan had a good ftc.

I think Michelle wins against Natalie. I think the jurors knew how terribly received Chris was for playing 11 days, and this is to special of a season for someone like Natalie who plays 6 days. And didn't a few jurors publicly state they voted for Tony so Natalie wouldn't win.
in my opinion, courtney wins china in a courtney vs amanda final two. even with todd its suspected (confirmed by some) that courtney was winning going into it and todds ftc was just that good he stole votes. in this hypothetical scenario amanda still has a terrible ftc and the ftc ends with courtney having way more respect than amanda and wins.

Nah. The Galus all liked Natalie White. The only vote that was sorta on the bridge was Laura Morett, who said she was probably voting Mick before Mick fumbled his way through final tribal and so she flipped her vote to Natalie, but everyone else probably doesn't.
@@airtempest8945 Yeah, the Galus hated Russell so much that they initially planned to split their votes between Natalie and Mick so that Mick would get second and Russell would get third. They backed out of it when Mick botched the FTC so badly, and because they weren't 100% sure what Shambo/John were doing.
