Actually the only “cure” for Carpal Tunnel is surgery.
Although resting it or supporting can ease the pain.
It does require surgery tho.
@@hellodumplings8564 depends on the severity. I've had carpal tunnel before. The whole pain/pinching sensation in the wrist that comes with it. I had to take a week off of basically doing nothing. Eventually the pain did go away. But if it's super bad and that the nerves are being pinched badly, yes you need that surgery.
@@predictivetextisforaunts corticoid injection is also a possible treatment, but I don't know if that cures it.
Yeah doctors did something similar to me when I had a torn bicep. Refused to diagnosis it because it didn't show up on the MRI when the muscle wasn't flexed. I ended up mentioning it to a retired doctor who actually felt my arm when I had the muscle flexed and told me that's torn and there is nothing I can do because it's been to long. I have the rarest muscle tare possible
this episode was aired on March 15, 2005 and the welcome mat in front of that house is still being sold at the bed bath and beyond i work at.

FINAL DIAGNOSIS = Father was in Asia for quite a bit, brought leprosy with him. Also, the dad's carpal tunnel was caused by his watch being too tight.
The dad's "carpal tunnel" was actually the leprosy presenting in him. The character with the too-tight watch was Chase's clinic patient.
I think the dad's panties were probably too tight.
Why hasn't the leprosy attacked the father though?

Anthrax is actually really interesting. It’s a bacteria that has spores (like C diff) and therefore the spores can survive in really harsh conditions for over a century. This was a really interesting episode medically speaking.

That's very odd, but it sounds like it's more a failing of the hospital admin than the doctor. They're the ones who are supposed to flip the beds. Docs just treat people.
@@michaelccozens It's a doctor issue here. I live in eastern part of EU so the only good doctors here are the old guard left from the days of independance who's rapidly dying out. The rest simply goes west to get payed 3 times as much in way better facilities or at least moves to capital city if they feel extra patriotic. So it's just the old, stubborn, incompetent, rude or some combination of the above left.

It's ligitmately terrifying how many of the diseases exhibited on this show have "unknown causes". Like, no one knows how you get sarcoidosis. You just... get it.
Be grateful, 80 years ago diagnostics were "you have ghosts in your blood, you should do cocaine about it"

They're not cool, not for long periods of time, restricting people's oxygen supply, and providing a place for mold to grow. Mold that'll then get into throats and cause irritation and possibly infection.

House did seem to respect Rowan Chase as a doctor quite a bit; unfortunately, as a father? Not so much.

I can only imagine the Karen that would sue a hospital because a doctor slipped their kid a name. What a greedy and petty existence that must be.
Seems like a necessary evil, saying that would incline to the kids that since the patient is in danger they might be as well so telling him information might help them in the future.
@@lewiskazinsky7334 It's not being a Karen to want money cause a doctor broke the law. A Karen is someone who thinks they're entitled to something they aren't and this situation doesn't count as that.

You know if you have kids that are always causing trouble and invading places like weird abandoned homes you should show them this clip, because lots of little fun viruses like to grow inside these places and then a human body is pretty much a motel to them
Then you can also remind them that kids back then not only were smarter, knowing how to read and such, and stronger, but they also had more robust immune systems.

The one thing that's more irritating than House is patients or their family who expect doctors to know everything and to be miracle workers as well.
If doctors were half as brilliant as the expectations put on them then 90% of medical problems could be solved without even needing hospitals, examination rooms, et cetera.
