I'm doing my motovlog journey in reverse, haha. Action 4 seems to offer the best bang for the buck, and I haven't noticed any distortion of that kind. Honestly, I can't tell any difference in image quality at 4k. So, after thinking it over, I made the switch and so far, no complaints. Still working out the mic game though. Glad to pick up some tips from you 👍 And it's a shame there's no Scotty in this episode 🤣
Long term GoPro user and recently switched to dji action 3. Purely due to GoPro file corruption, battery issues, audio glitches and djis new quick mount. Image quality impossible to tell the difference. But had no confidence in the GoPro actually capturing the video I want. Video on my channel
Hi Dave how you doing? There is another setting on the DJI called Narrow which is below the standard (dewarp) setting. It is cracking footage from the GoPro though although I do notice a lot of judder at the sides from the GoPros. Same fuel cap on the Z900, I have a video of Givi tank ring fitting for these (they are a bit bigger than normal) Hope to see you soon. Tracey and Ian 😘
looks perfect and the audio is great as well. Don't change a thing. I can't even see much difference between the gopro 7 in the rear and the 12 in the front. Have fun with your subs ride-out!
@@nicoswesterop8800 If the camera doesn't freeze or turn on or overheat or corrupt the card or resets itself to 240 res or I forget to hit record on the Mic. As long as not of that happens
That footage is worlds apart, which is annoying as I was looking at moving away from GoPro but it hurts to admit it is the best image quality on the market 😡 no motion blurr when you move your head, distance in front is equally focused. Honestly I was hoping it wouldn’t be so noticeable but GoPro have done it again as far as image quality goes. I hope the reliability holds up, I’ve got my head around my GoPro problems and know how to remedy them quickly. I was recently given a hero 4 and I was blown away still how good the quality is from that. I hope in the future DJI sort the lensing issues as their reliability would be a game changer if their image quality matched it. I have found out the Osmo action 4 sensor is the one from the Mavic 3 pro drone, which kind of makes sense as drones mainly are far enough from its subject that the sensor doesn’t have to worry about FOV. Agree with quality of footage over reliability, your issue is not the viewers issue and yes maybe most watch on a phone or in 1080p but that’s no excuse, imagine Steve Spielberg saying my latest film was shot on a Sony VHS cam corner as it was more reliable than the camera that offers the best footage 😂😂 obviously Steven is your competitor. Good vid mate
Thanks for your understanding pal. I tried to get my thoughts over in the vid and thought it was a balanced - factual view with good evidence. The results are plain to see in both vids. I expect and accept the lensing issues at the very edge of the Frame on the GoPro as I have it on 'Wide' but the Osmo has warping across the whole frame even in dewarp mode. Makes sense now you've said the lens is from a drone. I think if the Osmo was half the price, it would be a great camera and worth the money, but they've put it on the same stage as the GoPro. I put the blame firmly at other UA-camrs doors hyping the Osmo up to the Max. No-one seems to want to say a bad word about it. Obviously to hurt GoPro sales and justify their own purchase but if it forces GoPro to do better, then all good. I know what's good and what's not as good, some people will still say black is white no matter what!
Looks ok and sounds good too. I dont like single lane roads because of that very thing. I dont like tractors you can ask me why on the ride out lol them tractors of death gave my the twitches lol
I really hope that DJI taking a lot of their business makes Gopro get their act together. Far too many reliability problems for me. The mounting system is neanderthal, and the mic adapters and media mods are ridiculous money. I really hope the 12 behaves for you. 🤞

GoPro are so unreliable best of luck with it. I use the Dji Action 3 and the Dji wireless mic system it's been awesome.
