I truly like the review on this. The other reviews I’ve heard they are all very negative. You at least gave it a chance to feel the vibes in every song! Solid rating! What many people don’t get about this band is that every album is different, every song is different. Some people just like repetitive music and that’s fine too. I’m into repetitive sound bands like Blink-182, Paramore (younger days), ACDC, Metallica. But Kings of Leon started with a southern rock sound (the UK crowd loved it), then transitioned into this U2 era sound (where they peaked) and got USA and worldwide recognition, and since then they haven’t really gone back to that. But the ones who really appreciate their work really understand that this band is always experimenting and some might not be great but there are so many songs they have made that there’s always something for someone. I’ve heard them play southern rock, country rock, hard rock, arena rock, haunting rock, chill beachy rock, they are truly masters of not sticking to one genre.
AWW thank you so much!!! I love that they aren't afraid to do whatever they want, shows that they're constantly growing, experimenting and just having FUN with music, which is what it's really meant to be about, expression! ❤️
Another great KOL record. Walls is the only one of theirs I do not like much. But on this, my favorites are Don't Stop the Bleeding, Nothing to Do, Nowhere to Run and Rainbow Ball.
THANK YOU!! Great review, love to see someone enjoy a Kings album! I’d be very interested to see you dive in to them more to see their very amazing sound changes throughout their career! NICE work looking forward to more!
Mustang is the car on a shirt Caleb’s son was wearing and the kitty was on a cartoon his daughter was watching. Jumping jacks in the basement and this house isn’t for children refers to the house they rented when working on the album was full of antiques and his son was raising hell and Caleb was worrying he would break something. 😊
Very nice video. One of my favorite albums of them! Commenting on the meaning of some stuff: "Can We Please Have Fun" is about them trying to enjoy the process of recording the album. The albums before this one they felt like a pure job. Now they wanted to just enjoy making the music. Ballerina Radio is kind of an apocalipse. And the Ballerina Radio is the one thing that gives hope to the person in the song Nowhere to Run i guess it's someone afraid of planes or actually in a situation of emergency and they are letting their mind goes wild lol Mustang is meaningless. His daugther was watching cats videos and the son was wearing a Mustang T-shirt. So... he made a song about it There is a video for Radio X that they explains each song.
hi benn, please react to 'take a bite' by beabadoobee (there's also a music video & it's the lead single from her upcoming 3rd album 'this is how tomorrow moves', which will be out on august 16th) 🤍
