    Thank you Brian. Had 3 estimates on my 24x24 floor to be epoxied . Between $4500-$5000. Been trying to find another means. Living in Buffalo NY my floor is similar to how your concrete was. Thanks for the video.

      You are welcome. I love mine and you would save quit a bit. Be less than $1500 for a 24x24 floor. Going on 3 years love mine every time i see it!

    VERY WELL DONE. I am putting my down today and agree with you about the noise the plastic makes bouncing off the cement. I started two rows without the fabric ( since there were no directions !!) and stopped. I have the fabric here and will do that now and see how much difference there is in the noise. I am doing blue and black checker board and think it looks cool as hell. I am tired of the epoxy mix speckle that lasts for 2 years and then falls off.

      That Blue and Black will look awesome! The landscape fabric makes a big difference in noise. Thanks and enjoy your new floor. I just started year 3 on mine and am loving it!

    I have my order in the cart; your vid just let me press the BUY button. Many thanks. I'm in CT so we'll see what happens in the winter.

      I think you will be very happy with it for the price. Mine is still going strong, and I am in Upstate NY, so I have the same conditions as you. I do try to kick the big hunks of snow off the car before pulling into the garage, but other than that, I wet mop it and try not to let it build up. The last couple of winters have been mild, though, so it has been minimal. Good luck!

    Great job, you have given me more information to consider as I plan my project. I knew you were squared away when I saw that you are a Ram owner and your color choice, as I am a Red and Black color scheme guy also.

    Hi Brian, I have all my tiles and supplies ready to go and then saw your video. Thanks for the tips. About the groundcloth to help with noise, did you tack it down in some way or just lay the groundcloth down and let the weight of the tiles hold it in place. Thanks for the tips.

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  8 місяців тому

      Glad it helped! Just lay the ground cloth down and the tiles hold it in place. It moves a little as your placing the tiles down so you may want to weight it a bit on one end as you install the tiles. Good luck on your project!

    How has it been with jack stands and working on stuff?
    Do u pull it out to clean ever?
    How do chairs and items on wheels roll over the diamond shape. How was it with the snow? I’m leaning tward grated for the vehicles and solid in the sop section

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  Рік тому +1

      I don't use jack stands on it, but for anything like that, you do want to place some plywood underneath them to spread out the weight, and you will be fine. This is needed for any of these style tiles. I never pull it out. I just use the leaf blower and blow it out, and for the winter snow, I just mop it up. My garage does stay above 45 all year long, so any snow that drops on it melts. The grated is very popular but my garage floor was very dusty and I wanted to be able to blow it out so I went with the solid. Things toll over it perfectly with no issue.

  • @juggernautreptiles

    How is this with moisture or water build up? My garage has a slight dip in the middle that water from snow or rain builds at.

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  2 роки тому

      Hi there. This is the solid tile so the water sits pretty much on top and since my garage is mostly underground it stays above freezing so it mostly evaporates. The winter crud does stay on top but I just vacuum it up and wet mop it and it's good to go. If you have a dip it will pool there.

    Hey Brian, great job. Did you put the landscape fabric down because the manufacturer recommended, or to quiet the floor, cushion? I'm looking at the coin pattern. How do the cabinets roll on the diamonds?

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  Рік тому +1

      Thank you! I put the fabric down as other customers said it quieted the floor and also as a layer to limit dust transfer from the current floor. It was a good move and achieved both objectives. The cabinets roll with zero issue on the diamond patterns. I still love the floor as much as the day I installed it!

      @BriansSpace im in texas and i keep hearing about mold could be an issue. Would that be an issue using the fabric? Especially if anything gets wet in the garage?

    I see you've gone through a winter since you first installed these. Did you experience any gaps between or shrinking of the tiles when it got colder?

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  2 роки тому +1

      No issues at all with gaps in the cold or the heat. You need to leave that 1/2 to 1" gap between the tiles and the wall all the way around. As long as you do that shouldn't be any issues. Thanks!

    Ive got a section of my garage floor that honestly should be ground down, but weighing my options with various garage tiles. Would you think these tiles would be noisy or deforest with minor subfloor imperfections?

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  10 місяців тому

      Hey there. My garage floor had some major imperfections and I haven't had any issues with these going on 3 years now. If you watch the video from about the 10:00 minute mark you can see my floor. I filled in all the imperfections and such with some Sakrete Top and Bond, let it dry, then put landscaping fabric down, and have no regrets and they are not noisy at all. It's not as nice as Jay Leno's garage lol but everybody that sees it loves it! Good luck with your project.

    Nice job looks great! I am also in the northeast and wondering how it is with snowmelt. Does the water get under it? does it drain?

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  2 роки тому

      So far it doesn't seem like much water gets under it. This garage does stay above 45 degress though so any ice or snow melts overnight. It seems to sit on top and just evaporate and then I vacuum up the dirt and mop it with a wet mop. I haven't had any large ice collections on the vehicles behind the wheels so will let you know more when I do. It cleans up pretty easily.

      @@BriansSpace Thank you. I see they have a pro product now, not sure what the difference is other than thickness, but I think the base tile is fine for my garage.

      For me, these are good enough! They are imported and some of the tabs did break but all in all, for what I use it for these look like they will be just fine. The premium brands would be good if someone was really hard on the floor but for how I use it I don't think I would need anything heavier duty. These passed the initial 6 months just fine!

    Brian, how did they do in the winter?

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  2 роки тому

      1 st winter in upstate NY and they did great. You do have to clean them regularly so a bit of work. Also, my garage is always above 45 degress due to being mostly underground and all the snow and ice gunk melts overnight off the vehicles.

    How does it wash? Does water sit under it or on top, easy to wipe up

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  2 роки тому

      The water pretty much sits on top though I am sure some snow melt gets underneath. My concrete was in poor shape though so it will just soak into the concrete if it gets underneath. I am going to be doing a year follow-up video here soon. It's been about a year since I installed it and it's gone through an Upstate NY winter and is in great shape! I just wet mopped all the junk that came off the vehicles regularly throughout the winter and no issues. My garage doesn't drop below 45 degrees though so nothing in it freezes. So far really easy to maintain and I love it!

    The customer support from this company is absolutely awful. If they get something wrong in shipping (for me they did not send 90 white tiles, which held up the whole job), you will have a hard time getting some 3rd party representing them, from India, to even call you back. That person will know nothing about flooring and will hold the company line that they shipped the correct order. They are a complete mess, if something goes wrong. I will also add A LOT must go wrong because it will take them many days to even acknowledge your problem on email. The message will say, because of high volume of customer care ..... I would NEVER buy from these people again.

    • @BriansSpace
      @BriansSpace  Рік тому +2

      So sorry to hear you had an issue with them. Fortunately, my order arrived timely and as ordered without any issues. Nothing is more frustrating than poor customer service.
      I think I mentioned in the video that Race Deck is a premium option and I think is made in the USA. It's almost twice as expensive, but if you call them they will send you a quote, and I think it came in at about $1.00 a Sqft more than this company. Also, people have mentioned they have great experiences with them so for any future purchasers something to consider.
      Thanks for sharing your experience.
