Pro tip. If you place a strip of masking tape across the top and the bottom before painting the disk, you can let it dry then remove the tape for a nice crisp edge. Bonus pro tip: Use your cricut to cut a shape in the tape before placing it and you can make festive shaped backgrounds!
This was so satisfying to watch 😻 I'm wanting to pick up the cricut explore air 2 but I had no idea how or what to use it for! This will make for a fun first project - thanks!
I love how easy your instructions are to follow and the final result is so cute! I’ve had my Cricut machine for a while now but I’ve only used the HTV vinyl for making shirts. I’m excited to try this project!
New subscriber. Thanks for a great tutorial. I’ve had a Cricut Explore Air for four years and I haven’t cut anything but paper. My husband bought me an Easy Press for my birthday and but Id like to experiment with “Press on” vinyl before I give iron on a try. Any tips for my first attempt at transferring vinyl ? Which mat would you suggest ? (I don’t have the option of smart vinyl at this point). Your ornaments turned out wonderful !
I had no idea the shimmer Vinyl came with the strong grip transfer tape. I just checked mine and what do you know, there it is. I was having the hardest time and was using painters tape but that made it hard to layer Vinyl. I love your channel!
I was surprised to see it!! lol! Normally I do not like the strong grip transfer tape but it was the only thing that worked really well with the shimmer Smart Vinyl so I was glad they included it! :) Thank you!!
For first starting out with a machine the Cricut Explore Air 2 or 3 would be an excellent option! If you want more options for cutting several different materials then then Cricut maker would be a better option.
Hi Jayla. I never saw the paper guider before. Do you recommend it? I bought the maker and haven’t used it yet (it’s in my home I’m moving to). Love your videos.
Hi! Are you talking about the Cricut Roll holder that the vinyl goes into? I love it!! However, it is only compatible with the Explore Air 3 or Maker 3 and only works with Smart Vinyl . Thank you!!

I love the "● circle trick" that's what I call it lol. That has helped me SO MUCH with making the ornaments for my craft show yesterday!
Yes!! It definitely helps! How fun! Thank you so much. 💗💗
This is amazing, thank you! I'm a nail tech and wanted to make some ornaments for my salon tree - these will be perfect 😊

Would the Cricut Joy work for this project? Great video thank you!

Which Cricut would you recommend? I've been looking at the Explore Air 2.
I have the 2 and I just LOVE it. You cant cut some of the things that Maker and the new air 3 can... but it really does well for me!

do you add the vinyl on the side that you painted or the other side?
Do you seal the paint at all??
Very pretty, did you put the vinyl on the painted side or the clear side?tfs
Thank you!! I put the vinyl on the unpainted side.
i wish we had Michaels in Germany! :(
What Etsy shop did you buy the design in? Or what should I search for?
Great tutorial!! 😍
Here's the link to the SVG's on Etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/887506843/christmas-ornament-svg-bundle-1-hand?ref=yr_purchases Thank you!!
Did you put the acrylic on the painted side or the other side?
Where do you get your paint brush? The bristle always comes off for mine.

Sorry spelled Kayla wrong 🤐

I love all of these,Kayla! Your instructions are great! Do you have an Etsy link for these svg files? Thanks!
Can you use the air 2 machine to do this project? @Kayla’s Cricut Creations
Where can I find the vinyl cuts that you used here?
Can I do this with the explore air 2 machine
Why do you change the color before printing?
How much is it to do stuff like this? Always fancied it
Do you add the words to the side you painted or unpainted side?
I add the words to the unpainted side. 😀
@@KaylasCricutCreations dang!!! I just made some and added it to the painted side! ugh!
👍👍
Do you have a link for the paint brush you are using? Thanks!

@@KaylasCricutCreations thank you!
Question about the paint. Do you paint both sides? If not do you put the vinyl on the painted or unpainted side?
Not asking me ...but I can answer🙊! Just need to paint one side...and the vinyl goes in the unpainted side.
Yes! Paint on one side and vinyl on the other! :)
This is what I wanted to know too, thanks for asking.
This is what I also wanted to know thanks for asking
what fonts did you use?
How do you seal the paint to ensure it won’t peel off?
I've been putting a thin coat of mod podge over my paint and it works really well!
Would you be able to tell us where exactly you purchased these images please?
Yes! :) I purchased the SVG's off Etsy. Here's the link: bit.ly/3mW8wBV
Thank you very much😁
What size is the acrylic circle?
3 inch circles!
New machine not in the budget
I understand that, especially if you already have a machine! You can use any of the Cricut machines for this project which is awesome though! :)
