Was looking for a video that would show how to package acrylic ornaments and found it! I like the simplicity but very professional looking. Thank you. 😊
These are beautiful! I appreciate you showing how you do these. I've tried to paint minuend I think they look horrible, but you have encouraged me to try again. THANKS!
My hands are small and I’m looking at how big those acrylic blanks are. I love them! These are going to be perfect for my daughter. It’s way easier to put these up since they’re flat.
Love love ❤️ the ornaments ! Simple unique and elegant. I will definitely be making some. Because I’m the only artistic one in the family, I’m going to use them as name tags. I would love to see your shop. Do you have a website for items? Happy Holidays, Georgene
Hi Georgene! Thank you so much! I'm so glad you're going to make some too! They're super easy! My Etsy shop is called Good And Loved Co. ❤️ I also have a website as well. Here is the link! goodandlovedco.com
Thank you so much for the video. I was thinking of making something similar for a Christmas wedding with the couple's name and date on one side, paint the back and possibly add a Christmas themed silhouette to the painted side. Do you think that would work? Would the vinyl stock to the painted side?
Thank you so much for watching! That sounds like such a cute idea! I’m not 100% sure about applying vinyl to the painted side.. I’ve never tried that! Maybe do one to rest and see? Super cute idea!
Hi Cassie, rewatching some of your videos till you post a new one for us ♥️ I did have a question, I’m having a hard time with weeding out my thinner fonts and I purchased the one you recommended before oracla 651 and I even got a rubber Bayer roller and still no luck. Do you think it could be my cricut cut setting?
Hi Miriam! You’re so sweet! I actually just uploaded my office tour!! I would say.. you can also try using the offset tool in cricut design space! You can make the font a little thicker so it would cut better! I’ve been doing that a lot recently! Some fonts are just a headache honestly! I try not to offer any fonts that I know will be hard to cut/weed.
@@MiriamPeaceLove I reverse weed them. Before weeding them as normal, put the transfer tape on it and weed it while it’s on the transfer tape. It helps a whole lot.
No, the polycrylic doesn't leave streak marks! At least I've never had any issues with it! Depending on which finish you choose, it just leaves a clear coat on top of your paint! It's super easy to use.
Of course! I actually haven't ever tried oil paint on acrylic! I do use oil-based paint markers for the writing sometimes though so maybe it would work!
Is it normal to have like bumps after drying? I did an ornament for practice and I don't like how it looks.. Looks too sad lol I bought some brushes at Walmart as well as the Apple Barrel acrylic paint. I don't like how it looks when I pick up the ornament. When I lay it flat, it looks fabulous but when I pick it up it looks ugly!! Please help me
I would say to try different paint! And use a 1 inch foam brush! Folkart paint is really good! You can always do a second coat too! That usually fixes a lot of issues like streakiness and bumps!
Just stumbled upon your channel because I was looking for packaging ideas and I have to say that you are the cutest and I love these! I make baby milestone rounds and they are just so much fun to make! I love the idea of making these into ornaments. Thank you for your videos, they are so helpful and fun! Also -- I am so jealous of how you manage to keep your workspace so clean. No matter how hard I try, my workspace is a disaster when I'm working on projects. Ha!!
Wow, you’re so sweet! Thank you so much! Thank you for watching! I’m so glad you found something helpful here! Oh trust me, my desk is not always clean! It’s a nightmare most of the time haha! ❤️
@@CassieCouncil no thank you ! I want to sell on Etsy or Shopify…. I saw a few shops that use acrylic blanks I just never knew what method was used … I’ve watched other videos but your video was my favorite you explained everything from start to finish … I hope you make more videos thanks again and l hope your channel and business gets bigger and better !! 😊
Hi Jess! I’m my experience you do not ever have to seal the vinyl on the front! I use Oracal 651 vinyl which is a high-quality, permanent vinyl and I’ve never had any issues with vinyl peeling! ❤️
I use Folkart acrylic paint and I apply one generous coat or two coats depending on the color. Lighter colors typically need more than one coat! Thank you for watching!
@@CassieCouncil you’re probably aware but for others who are not....be mindful of licenses when using fonts in your projects. Many fonts on DaFont are for personal use only and you need to contact the creator for commercial use (creating a product to sell). Edit: I’m watching a bunch of your videos and see you buy most of your fonts from Creative Fabrica - love that website!
Yes, it will show, but not much. It is clear so it will not be very noticeable at all, but I do recommend only painting the Polycrylic on the areas that you previously painted! Thank you for watching!
Hi! I used the link to the chiffon ribbon listed, and it sent me to a different type. I'd like to give you (the tiny) amount made with the link. Would you post it again?
I have watched multiple videos but have yet to see anyone show how to mirror these so they can be placed on the back of the clear ornament or putting color on one side and the name on the other. Please answer me on how to do this so shiny side shows.
Hello! Thank you for watching! I do paint the color on one side and then once it dries, I flip it over, peel off the protective layer and put the name on the other side!
Do you put anything over the top of the Vinyl? If not, how do you store multiples by stacking them on top of each other without the vinyl ruining? Thanks for the helpful video :)
I do not put anything on top of the vinyl! I would store them with a piece of wax paper between them so the back of one ornament (painted side) won’t stick to the front of the other (side with the vinyl applied). I hope that makes sense! Thank you for watching, Carmen! ❤️
@@CassieCouncil yes that makes so much sense! I was going to put parchment paper but I was worried that I thought it might ruin it or try and pull them of. Thank you for replying so quickly❤️

Can you use modpodge on the back instead of the polycrylic? I dont have any polycrylic at home.
I think so! I've never tried it myself but I have seen other people use it!
Does the polycrylic leave streak marks? Like can you tell it's there? I only have mod podge glossy and I'm afraid to use it!

Hello! You do not have to mirror when cutting regular vinyl like I’m using here! You only have to mirror when using HTV (heat transfer vinyl) ❤️

Try using a thicker paint and/or painting another coat! ❤️
