With the athleticism we have in the interior of the offensive line, Arthur Smiith shouldn’t divorce the Steelers from gap blocking schemes. Why not run Power O, pin-pull, Counters, crack toss??? The Steelers should avail themselves of both zone and gap schemes rather than adopting an outside zone dogma. Besides, the Steelers, for reasons I don’t understand, have never been great at “outside” zone. Last year, we didn’t start running well until the Steelers started to run more gap.

Always a great show Chris specially when you bring the goat on !!! Smith’s concepts are very QB friendly a lot of triangle windows were your 1 2 and 3 reads are in same window so not a lot of head movement for QBs. We loved to blame Kenny for bailing to soon but Canada ran a lot of mirror concepts so if your 1and 2 ain’t open pretty sure 3and 4 ain’t! Think Smith was really good higher !

DB is the Man, as a Steelers expert myself I don't listen to Steven A Smith Colin Cowherd and the other clowns aka 32 tackle Acho, but I do listen to DB as he is an analytical mastermind!!!
Double teams (TE chip) minimize TJ!’s impact. Do we have the defensive personnel to make them pay for that? A: Maybe it frees up Queen, Benton.

I believe we due for both Defense will be a top 3 D watch and Offense I think Smiths Play calling will 100% have Muthhhhh being a top TE this year and I also believe Mt.Washington will be not only impactful in the run blocking game but he will also have a very BIG PRESENCE in the Passing game this year guarantee it Matt Canada didn't use either TE to the best of their abilities and I believe Arthur Smith will 100% give both of them their fair share of targets but aye only time will tell but watch out NFL all we needed was atop 15 Offense and THE STEELERS ARE BACK I think we get to that easy this year❤Can't wait 1st szn in a few years I'm actually looking forward too going to be FIREWORKS
I am super excited about Arthur Smith as OC this is best talent he’s ever had I think his offense will resemble Haley’s and avg 30 points a game it won’t be predictable and I think both rbs have career years Nahjee will hit that 5 yard avg and get 1400 rushing yards and Jwar will also avg 5 yrds get 1100 yards and 400 -500 receiving gonna be. #1 in nfl and Russ is totally rejuvinated and super focused in great condition I think we suprise everyone win north 13-4 or 12-5 and win #1 seed then win Super Bowl defense has so much speed will avg only allowing 13-17 points game lead in sacks takeaways Minkah back in his role will make huge splash Dontae Jackson and Elliot will be elite along with Sutton and Beanie will be a starter by game 8 and suprise fans I have WVU season passes so have seen alot of Beanie and Zach who reminds me of pouncey blocking his man 10 yards downfield has great hands gets under guys pads! Beanie is only 5”8 but plays big long from waist up and can jump high gets turned facing qb so doesn’t get PI’s was handsy like JPJ but has worked on that and gotten much better! Our secondary will be super fast and elite,then you have speed of Queen and Peyton Wilson both run in 4. 4 gonna have sideline to sideline speed we have been looking for since Shazier! Then to cap it all off the brotherhood is forming like old days both coaches and players have huge sense of urgency Cam is gonna be comeback player of the year

Jones at Left Tackle, Fantanu at right, Frazier at centre and hopefully Mason Mcormick at one of the guards. Get these young guys going, no looking back. Any mistakes these young guys make they will make up for with aggression. Get nasty and pound that ball. Gap, Zone doesn’t really matter as long as we are running it.
People don’t know…Russ can be quite deadly throwing over the middle, and be team he consistently torched over the middle was the Steelers.
And Russ can unload the ball quickly too. He just needs his offense to be precise. Yes, he’s undersized, and his O.C. needs to create the lanes for him to do what he needs to do.
This narrative about Russ not being able to throw over the middle is bull. He just requires a good O-Line and the right blocking and route concepts.
And yes, Russ can create angles.
Russ deadly over the middle? How so? He is reluctant to throw to the deep middle from the pocket because he’s too short. He can’t see that part of the field from the pocket due to his short stature. He’s basically a one read QB, who makes plays off schedule. Of course, he’s an upgrade, but Arthur Smith, who likes to exploit the deep middle, will have to design half field reads for Russ.

If Russ were 6’3, I’d take him over Mahomes 100 times out of 100, and I wouldn’t even blink. I still like him as much as I do Mahomes.
And Russ will be no lower than a top-10 QB this year, and Russ won’t be satisfied with that. Russ never hit any cliff or declined, he got injured and went to the wrong team. That’s different.
Russ had last year’s Broncos averaging 27 PPG with Payton depressing the stats and trying to lose. He was #1 in red zone offense for a good portion of the season.
Your expectations of Russ should be REALLY high!

WIlson doesn't have his SB mobility now.
You’re wrong. People were tricked into thinking he was immobile because in 2022 he had an undisclosed knee injury that required surgery.
Last year, he rushed for 349 yards on mostly non-designed runs, and Payton was suppressing his numbers. He can still give you 500 yards bet season. All he needs is 10 more yards per season. He can do that easily.
