Well Chris that 2016 wide receiving core didn't need a number 2 because we had Le'Veon Bell who was widely considered as the best RB in the NFL. Najee is no Bell respectfully and our OLine is still unproven vs a top 3 veteran oline in 2016. These situations are not the same

As impressive as Le'Veon rushing was that season the AFC Championship game showed that the depth off the bench wasnt there. I'd rather have 2 backs make it through the whole season then 1 "bell cow" fall ill at the finish line.

Congrats to Mike and Jenna! I like the take on WR2 being a WR2 by committee. Like the LB coach was saying, use their superpowers. If we need a tall deep threat, then you go with Quez, if you need more from the slot, Calvin and Wilson and that is all not taking into account Muth or the RBs out of the backfield. I'd still like to see Roman Wilson/Calvin Austin develop into a true WR2 but having such depth (maybe not as high quality of depth) can buy us a year to get another playmaker in the passing game.

8 years to go through this dynasty of the best Steelers team that Mike Tomlin had in his coaching tenure with the team. This is what is going to shut up all the Haters who have been trying desperately to get every single fan that he is a terrible coach and I don't have any idea what the hell that they were thinking about how much they were hating on him. He didn't have any say on the final decision on the roster or the important things that would have helped him get a few more Lombardi trophies. But I have alott of faith that the man Khan Artist with Andy as the Assistant who picks the players in the draft and free agency ,is going to get Tomlin what he needs to properly do his job . And then you finally get a offensive coordinator for the type of offense that he has been wanting since they beat the Cardinals on the Arm of Big Ben. I was just hoping this was gonna happen for him and it finally came to fruition. I think Russell Wilson was in the same type of situation and he is going to get the Haters to shut up and feel pretty bad knowing how wrong they were about both Tomlin and Himself. Can't wait to hear the new excuse of why Tomlin and Russell Wilson didn't have any thing to do with the Steelers winning the 7th Lombardi trophy ❤

That 2016 steelers team had prime ben, we have an older russell wilson and inconsistent justin fields…they need help to boost the offense
That 2016 team had no defense. Teams usually win scoring 42 points. I think this year they’re gonna use the TE more with a lot of running.
Also check SB year 2005. Hines had fewer than 1000 yards. Randal-El had fewer than 600 yards. I forget who was number 3. And Steelers won Super Bowl that year.
Broderick Jones has the potential to be the best right tackle in NFL. What he did last year for our offensive line cannot be ignored or denied. As good as he could be at left tackle I will keep him at right. And only move him to left if we have an injury.

The Steelers need the next William Andrews or William Floyd to play Fullback lol

When he told the simps to leave it alone I couldn’t tell if he was joking or actually tired of it but good mans I really hope Steelers trade for Brandon Aiyuk just to elevate the Steelers and if we do we might have improved the most in all of the nfl no question if we trade for aiyuk because we haven’t got worse in any position I think and got so much better in 5 if we trade for aiyuk him and Pickens is scary🥶

The bears didn’t help fields at all they traded their best defender and tanked didn’t do much but get him a wr which he looked better with and then traded fields and signed so many weapons for Caleb it’s not even funny
Steelers are wanting to see if Pickens will insert himself as a true #1 if they get a big name #2 it’ll be a mental problem for Pickens a dynamic #2 is arguably a #1
I’m going with what we have on the roster now.
It’s funny, we haven’t even played a preseason game yet, and folks are losing their minds because they think we’re gonna tank on offense because we don’t have a legit #2 WR?

#2’s, 3s and so on, are made on game day not during OTAs or training camp.

They aren't gonna tie up the salary cap with a big WR contract. Because they don't know who the QB will be after the season. For 25 years the Steelers have been able to find receivers anywhere. Why do people act like this is so crazy ?
I don’t agree with us not needing another WR. Even if Roman Wilson or someone steps up, you have to account for injuries. If GP were to go down. we would be fucked. They would stack the box and we wouldn’t be able to do anything.

The idea that you have a number one and number two and a number three receiver is outdated and way oversimplified. The Steelers with Ben went to three super bowls and won two of them before Antonio Brown started a single game. You could argue that they had more receiving talent every year after their last super bowl appearance. Having a super talented receiving group is not enough, their skillsets have to complement each other on the field. I believe the combination of Calvin Austin III, Pickens, Jefferson, Freiermuth and Washington will be tough to defend. Roman Wilson has wheels and is very Ward-like as far as finding space in the defense. IMO it's going to come down more to the play calling and the quarterbacks than the ability of the receivers.
Heyward, can be a bigger part of the offense. He makes plays.

It's not only that they have a lot of rookies and or young guys, it's the expectation you guys set for them and then sell this to the fans base on hopes. Steelers need to rebuild, they are the only team that is not allowed to without the fans wanting to fire everybody, and you guys with your "so-called" prediction on how the Steelers should look vs reality doesn't match, so stop fooling the fans!!! You guys did this with Kenny with him just playing 1 quarter in PRE-SEASON games, and the fans believed you. I say lets just wait and see!!!! At least after 8 games, to me, that's when things sink in and players get an grasp, until then, it's just speculations base on Amateur sports beat guys!!!
